The 2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 gets a serious performance boost, bringing more power and sharper road manners to one of the most approachable sport-touring motorcycles on the market. With an updated version of Triumph’s 660cc triple making significantly more horsepower, this middleweight machine aims to balance everyday comfort with real-world performance at a price that undercuts much of the competition. In this review, we break down what’s changed for 2026, how the added power translates on the road, and whether the Tiger Sport 660 still delivers on its promise of affordable sport touring or starts to edge into a more demanding category.

00:00Justin and the guys at Cycleworld have asked me to come to Spain to put the new Tiger Sport 660
00:05through its paces on some absolutely stunning roads and I'm not going to turn that down.
00:10In the US this bike is coming in at just over $10,000 at $10,295 and it's now 95
00:17horsepower
00:18which you're thinking why 95? Well that's because here in Europe a bike can't be any more than 95
00:25horsepower for it to be A2 license compliant so in Europe and in the UK you can restrict a bike
00:32for new riders down to 47 horsepower which means the bike can't make more than 95 when it's maximum
00:38and in France Spain and in Italy they're selling 50 60 even 70 percent of the bikes at A2 level
00:46and
00:47then once they've passed the test they take the restrictor off and then get the full 95 horsepower
00:51so that's why the bike is at that power figure but that is a big jump from the 80 that
00:57it was before
00:57which in weird maths is about 17 or 18 percent essentially that power is higher up in the rev
01:04range torque has gone up a little bit that's higher up in the rev range and now it'll rev all
01:08the way
01:09to 12 650 rpm that's a big jump in power big jumping over rev and a jump in torque but
01:17it's not just all
01:17about the engine they've also changed the bodywork it's slightly bigger slightly wider a little bit
01:22more comfort we've got shower suspension front and rear we've got remote preload and we've got rebound
01:28on the rear because we've got that boost in power we've got three throttle bodies not one we've got
01:34different mapping we've got three rider modes and we've had to recalibrate all the traction control
01:38and all those rider aids because we've got up in weight it's four or five kilograms more but we've got
01:43more power and a slightly different chassis so all those rider aids have had to be reconfigured and
01:48recalculated in terms of what you get in terms of technology it's bluetooth connectivity dash
01:55manually adjustable screen cruise control comes as standard heated grips are an optional extra
02:01those pre-mentioned three rider modes traction control which is lean sensitive because of the imu
02:07you can't turn it off but the traction control you can't turn up or down it's either on or off
02:13but it
02:13does change depending on which mode you're in we've had a great opportunity to ride in these amazing
02:19roads in southern spain that i know really well like the back of my arm and it's been really enjoyable
02:24to
02:25ride the tiger sport and its new kind of step up in power in terms of performance and in terms
02:31of
02:31handling in many ways the old bike was really good but the new bike has gone up so much more
02:37in terms of enjoyment fun and just giggle factor because it'll rev even more it'll pull even stronger
02:44i think when it was down at low 80 horsepower and a little bit less once you added luggage once
02:50you
02:50added a pillion and a top box and you loaded it all up you was asking quite a lot of
02:5480 horsepower
02:55entry-level bike but now with 95 it's a different story there's a few times today where i was coming
03:00out of
03:01second third gear corners winding it on and going yeah that's got some drive that's got some pull
03:06this is enjoyable this is fun i was changing gear at 12 500 rpm or 12 2002 where the old
03:12bike at 10 000
03:14it would hit the limiter and it was all done it feels like it's way more rewarding way more enjoyable
03:20to ride than it ever was before the quick shifter works really well at low speed but it also works
03:24really well at high speed it almost gives it a feeling of a sports bike nature to it but all
03:30along
03:30you're really comfortable you've got a bigger gas tank than before nice wide bars really nice soft
03:35plus suspension these tires the road fives work really well in the wet and really well in the dry
03:41it's a real all-round package but with this extra boost in performance that gives it more enjoyment
03:47the only slight downside is because you've got more power and you've got more enjoyment it encourages
03:53to do things that maybe you shouldn't so you end up riding it a little bit past its design parameter
03:59and when you do that it is on the soft side for me i've had to add a little bit
04:04of preload which is
04:05done with a remote preload so it was on one from 30 and i went up to six from 30
04:09i could have gone more
04:10if i added luggage and pillion which gave it a little bit more support coming out the corners but i
04:14still
04:14wanted a little bit more but then i started finding faults with slightly soft suspension and a little bit
04:21undersprung when you're off throttle and i wanted a little bit more grip from the tires and then you had
04:25to
04:25kind of go hold on it's a ten thousand dollar entry-level sports touring bike that's appealing
04:33to new riders who are just going to have fun in the canyons they're not going to be trying to
04:37slide
04:37it into corners and really on the exit which it will do very very easily it's a real big step
04:43for
04:43triumph to go with more power with more torque it's more enjoyable than it ever was before it's more
04:49capable as a tourer i'd be quite happy to roll out a couple of tankfuls of fuel on this three
04:55400 miles
04:56in a day no problem i'd be quite happy to fit the accessory panniers the accessory top box and tour
05:02around europe on a bike that is entry level the big thing for us i guess when we get at
05:06cycle world
05:07will be to put it against the competition for me you've got tracer 7 the versus 650 the v-strom
05:13but
05:13that's got a 19 inch front wheel have you got the trans out but that's got a 19 inch front
05:18wheel this
05:18is 17 inch front wheel front and rear it's a little bit different because it's got this adventure styling
05:23but it's obviously never going to go off-road it's got 17 inch front and rear wheel it's going to
05:28be
05:28interesting when we put it against the competition because there's some really good established bikes
05:32in this but for just over 10 000 us you've got a bike that's got really good rider aids it's
05:40accessible
05:40for new riders even for a short rider like me it's really easy to ride at low speeds the fueling
05:47is
05:47excellent around town the quick shifter is dead smooth with the auto blipper up and down you've
05:52got cruise control manual adjustable screen bluetooth connectivity you've got all those boxes ticked
05:57but now it just wants to go a little bit more now it wants to rev a little bit harder
06:02now it wants to
06:04give you that bit of enjoyment that you can when you're either in the canyons in the us or here
06:08in
06:08amazing hills and amazing roads we've experienced in southern spain now it's kind of it is all the
06:14old qualities of the old bike but now it just wants to stay out a bit longer and party a
06:19little bit
06:19harder if you want to know any technical questions seat height wheelbase rate trail and all that kind
06:26of information that we kind of brush to one side because you want to know what the bike is actually
06:29like to ride then please fire some questions below me justin or one of the guys we'll get back to
06:34you
06:34as soon as we can thanks for watching hope you've enjoyed it and i'll see you on the next one
