00:00:00geek catalog and just like look for some nerd shit and get it for me and my brother and so
00:00:06she found this like uh um like it looks like a keyboard like a musical keyboard but it has
00:00:12an air you blow into it i see and then it's like an organ i'm a melodica that's it yeah
00:00:21that's the thing yeah you got it so my mom got melodica for my brother and i have it and
00:00:30i'm going to uh i don't know if i'm going to play that but i think that that would be
00:00:34a good way
00:00:35for me to learn piano because it's like a piano kind of you know it's got the pentatonic scale
00:00:39i think and i believe pentatonic scale is a thing in guitars so if you know one you know the
00:00:45other
00:00:45i hear i hear like uh some of the best guitarists like zach wild who used to do like guitar
00:00:50for
00:00:50ozzy osbourne like a recorder ah okay so like that would have been like i had a recorder when i
00:00:58was
00:00:58two of it but i had one i used to make noises on you know like
00:01:06that works like a recorder but uh i have like a toy one and you can even do chords on
00:01:12it
00:01:20i'll play anything ronnie i am pretty much done okay good i'll jump in the game in a second so
00:01:25i'll
00:01:26do it real quick l um and ours and chat is my camera on by the way on the discord
00:01:31side um
00:01:33yeah i think it is okay good it is nice i'm showing some photoshop thing so what's the quickest
00:01:40way for me to make the floor look like less like i'm thinking i just like do this um combining
00:01:46two
00:01:46layers and make it blurry what do you want to do to the floor i want to make the floor
00:01:51look a little
00:01:51cleaner because i i raised captain kirk oh okay so yeah this is the original like uh okay so uh
00:02:00you
00:02:00want to have to be more uniform okay uh make another layer on top of it i have right now
00:02:08i have this
00:02:09layer um wait oh my god it's missing why is that layer missing oh i see why i put it
00:02:14in light in the
00:02:15mode this i have a layer like this but i'll turn off all the layers and show you what i
00:02:19have right now
00:02:19this is the only layer i got duplicate layer on top of it like a like a blank transparent layer
00:02:26oh okay
00:02:27transparently you got it okay so transparency on now uh how i would do this personally is uh
00:02:37you just wanna okay i'm just making the window so you can see the whole thing okay
00:02:46so uh what you want to do is uh you want to uh you want to just um paint over
00:02:54this right
00:02:56yes like is it uh partially transparent this image um not yet i mean it's a photoshop it's a
00:03:05photoshop document so i can you know i already imported it this particular image just uh layer one is
00:03:12layer one trans yes it is okay so uh press uh control plus c all right control c on the
00:03:20blank layer or the
00:03:21picture layer you know what uh there's a go to uh the blank layer and right okay right click
00:03:29all right okay great clipping mask oh okay all right done now uh just uh use an eyedropper on
00:03:41uh like uh the lower part of there yeah the lighter part lighter part yeah like right there okay switch
00:03:51your brush and make it nice and big and and should i have soft edges okay then uh yeah just
00:04:06manually do
00:04:06that don't color all don't color all just do the bottom part don't color the top area just do the
00:04:15bottom part and then i can and i have it on uh i have it on like uh low opacity
00:04:23which actually kind of
00:04:25works out just do the bottom yeah even that one even that even though it's part of it's part of
00:04:31the
00:04:31original picture who cares you just want to make it look good right yeah you're right
00:04:39because i need to make it i need to do one more thing to it i need to make it
00:04:42wider but i have an
00:04:43idea yeah you want to make it wider just a control t and make it white that is un-american
00:04:50no i'm kidding
00:04:52i'll show you what i mean
00:04:56all right that part i think it's going to leave alone um yeah i'm going to just ruin that we're
00:05:00going to leave that alone unless i get the color matched right
00:05:07the easy way to do it
00:05:10i'm gonna leave that alone so here's my problem is if i make it wider we're missing the edges so
00:05:17i'm going to use my ingenuity here l i can i can merge the layers i'm going to duplicate the
00:05:24original layer and just like call it back up i'm going to then uh clone the clipping mask in case
00:05:31i
00:05:32decide to recycle it clipping clip backup and then we're going to merge these two layers here then i'm
00:05:40going to do uh duplicate layer i could have done ctrl c but i'm going to do this instead and
00:05:46we're going to
00:05:46do a ctrl v and we're going to then do this it's not but we'll make it the right angle
00:05:53see i mean the background repeats basically it's like all repetitive so it's like if i just like
00:05:59you know like let's start with the like um
00:06:07see it's not seamless no it will be seamless because i am going to use my ingenious
00:06:19continuity to manipulate the shizzle out of it so what i'm going to do is i'm going to then do
00:06:25this
00:06:25and then i'm going to go there we go see that's about right look it's not the same color on
00:06:32the scene
00:06:35also uh one of those things are in the wrong angle
00:06:41the other angle is slightly different
00:06:45well you know you can't do that i guess
00:06:58i don't know how to do that right click right click and uh oh right click okay you should be
00:07:04able to warp it
00:07:06yeah right click i'm right clicking right now and uh like on the corner
00:07:11no right click exactly like control right click
00:07:15no just right click it exactly
00:07:17there on the finger transforming
00:07:22no and that's on the layer itself like on the thing itself on the work area
00:07:28okay
00:07:29no right click inside of it
00:07:32okay i'm inside yeah right click here and drag no just right click there oh okay got you
00:07:41oh i have a warp function there why do you not have a warp function that's weird maybe maybe it's
00:07:47not
00:07:47big enough it's grayed out it could be could it be the parameters of the images like the wrong
00:07:54dimensions or something no uh okay let me see yeah maybe i should just put a minute and crop
00:08:03and that's the area again too okay it's grayed out there the distort perspective warp is grayed out
00:08:11for some reason i got an idea i think i'm going to go with your original idea though
00:08:17oh um i think it's just easier at this rate so your idea was pretty valid um it was valid
00:08:22i mean i
00:08:23just was trying to be easy but but like let's be the aspect ratio basically yeah oh a hundred percent
00:08:33all right i don't have to do
00:08:39i mean if you want the aspect ratio i think you can still do that
00:08:46well like if i were to like um i'll make it big and then i'll make it square
00:08:53well make it really big and like zoom out
00:08:57just zoom out yeah now make it nice and big
00:09:02yep like that yeah make it nice and big like overlap it
00:09:07so uh move it up yeah you can move it up now see well maybe i actually i actually don't
00:09:15care about
00:09:16the bottom that much so like didn't i didn't i didn't i just do that i'm trying to see i
00:09:22i don't
00:09:22know if i did that so i'm going to double check here so i think i did that just now
00:09:26right let's see let's just
00:09:31see if i do that so i think that's exactly what i just did so i did a control t
00:09:36then i did a lock proportions
00:09:38i always locked proportions and then i just kind of went
00:09:44and then now we got like yeah yeah this is exactly what i want there we go because if i
00:09:51do this
00:09:57lock oh yeah usually i think i think you hold on yeah you need to hold on control or you
00:10:01can lock it
00:10:01up here by clicking on the uh chain link icon
00:10:07and i'm noticing something about my uh my screen sharing for some reason
00:10:13there you go okay is it overlapping uh there we go no it's just my three um this is just
00:10:23my left
00:10:23monitor my ultra wide but you know how like it's wider than everything so that's like what it actually
00:10:28looks like so i have to hit i have three buttons that zoom in or i have a button that'll
00:10:31that'll pan
00:10:33automatically oh no the plug-in oh there we go it works now um but yeah so let's save that
00:10:43the floor actually so that you could add the else there well i'll show you exactly what i have in
00:10:48mind right now i'm going to save it and i'll show you what i have in mind and i could
00:10:51run into a fancy
00:10:52upscaler but i'm not going to do that right now we're just going to keep it real simple um
00:10:59so i'm saving this my obs graphics folder right now and then if i go back to my pictures youtube
00:11:07obs graphics then i'm going to drag and drop it to this screen as a matter of fact because like
00:11:12this is when my friend's gonna be me on to his show tonight because he's beaming me aboard his
00:11:16starship right because he does a starship show we're going to review an episode
00:11:20so he's going to say one to beam up and reggie's going to be sitting there like huh and then
00:11:25i'm
00:11:26going to say my he's going to say uh you said one to beam up and then i'm going to
00:11:31show up after that
00:11:32in fact i should have reggie on the side because technically i mean i thought it'd be funny if you
00:11:36just showed up in the middle that's going to require some video editing i have to like record
00:11:40a video like this in fact i can do it right now so it has to be this then it's
00:11:44going to be the
00:11:45transporter video effect then reggie's going to appear wait oops let's do this oh yeah i remember
00:11:52now so then reggie's going to appear with his arm band which we're going to do separately because we
00:11:56can always do that separately um so it's gonna be like mike's gonna say one to beam up
00:12:03then i'm just gonna do a fade so it'll be like fade
00:12:08yes and reggie's gonna be there then you're like oh you're supposed to beam two up
00:12:13and so my question would be well maybe instead of doing it like this i should just keep the
00:12:18original where he beams me aboard and reggie appears on his side
00:12:27so it's gonna be be me a board then it's gonna be
00:12:33reggie's gonna fade in like that he's like oh you said one to beam up mike
00:12:38then he's gonna be me aboard and i'm gonna come up like this and then i'll be beamed aboard
00:12:45and that's it okay so we got it good i got the i got the source assets now i'll worry
00:12:49about that
00:12:49later i just want to make sure i got that going so looking good there thank you and i'm that's
00:12:54my
00:12:54it might sound too loud by the way i know it's my vu meters in the red right now uh
00:12:58there okay so
00:13:00we're all set then the floor we don't even see the floor right there but you know i just need
00:13:04a star
00:13:04trek background that's the star trek background right there so looking good there so now games
00:13:11wise let's see here let's uh close adobe save close that close that close the point no i'm kidding um
00:13:20oh yeah so you mentioned this uh um this uh well i'm already loading do you remember love but
00:13:25you remember you mentioned this uh the the d3d thing right and so yeah i want to know if i
00:13:32could
00:13:32run that speed draw yeah and i have it right where did i put that you just drop it into
00:13:39the folder and
00:13:40then you just run uh like whichever one you want okay so i just put it in the folder and
00:13:48now you just
00:13:48run the app you want and you should it it knows like like so you just have this direct x
00:13:54thing
00:13:55d3d thing in the folder and it just works yeah it'll just work automatically all right well there's a
00:14:01little caveat here it looks like there's a separate folder for the disk so i might have to extract it
00:14:05into that folder oh my god it's a binary cd oh okay i remember how it's worked here oh man
00:14:12oh okay we're
00:14:14gonna extract that here i have to mount it i'm not doing that right now but i have to mount
00:14:21it i
00:14:21guess uh that one apparently not which i'm surprised too i think that's something that i would mount using
00:14:33like my um i'm not even sure how i would mount it like i know i have another copy of
00:14:38this game somewhere
00:14:38so this is like a different copy than the one i already had oh oh oh wait i'm i was
00:14:43here i think
00:14:45and there is another inside what that's weird
00:14:53okay so it's a redump yeah i have the q data sheet here so i should be able to mount
00:14:58that i forget if
00:14:59windows can mount that but um uh does windows allow you to mount stuff by default
00:15:08can i just extract it to another folder no it doesn't let me extract to another folder but
00:15:13i was trying to ask it to extract the q thinking that would magically know what a bin is next
00:15:19to it
00:15:22i mean i guess this i'm trying to remember how i would have done this i would have done this
00:15:25in
00:15:25either dos box or windows 98 virtual box which uh i don't think my windows 98 virtual machine is
00:15:31actually set up right now i did see that i do have it like uh that's my win 98 virtual
00:15:39machine right
00:15:40there so if i go here i should be able to just tell it to load this but that doesn't
00:15:47get us anywhere
00:15:48really so that's like not really yeah it's like why does it mount the bin file with like some uh
00:15:58i can't open the machine anyway i'm gonna have to redo windows
00:16:01just mount the bin file yeah let's do that i'm gonna ask gemini since the gemini is already open um
00:16:10there's tons of programs that allow you to mount stuff
00:16:15yeah i mean like uh usually i'll use like you know like something internal right and in this case yeah
00:16:21i
00:16:21guess i need something like magic iso or one of those so let's see here bin files of raw data
00:16:28yeah
00:16:29when when cd emu is that any good sounds good i don't know what i use right now i'm gonna
00:16:37try yeah
00:16:37it looks like i like it looks small it looks small i like it like the website like has a
00:16:43plain interface
00:16:46so let's see once to automate c drive install it's gonna install yet another driver my computer will
00:16:54love that then we go here and then i've never opened the app before so oh here i select drive
00:17:06letter and mount that's what she said um okay so anyway it's a data disk disable auto run for this
00:17:14game probably i don't know if i want auto run kicking in like that two slides actually to mount stuff
00:17:24everything i don't even know okay so i just burn and a wind cd emu yeah so i do use
00:17:33that
00:17:35i have several of them
00:17:38all right so i got the star trek game so in theory i guess i would copy the contents of
00:17:43the cd
00:17:44and try to run that or i would run executable from the program folder let's see here so i noticed
00:17:52these are installers yeah correct so that means i should probably do it like this
00:18:08the virtual box can run that or uh but not virtual box dos box can run that i think
00:18:19even though it's windows well that's definitely an option um i mean like you know i would go that route
00:18:26if that's what it takes um so it's extracting the data here yeah so i can't so the d3d draw
00:18:34won't work
00:18:34until i install it you're saying so i can't just put that d3d thing in there because it's got to
00:18:38install it
00:18:38first so this would be i did i did this on a windows 98 virtual machine yeah it's work on
00:18:44windows 98
00:18:45but not on modern windows so the question becomes then can i cd into this directory and oh look at
00:18:53that
00:18:53it's actually um i think the dash box is freaking out oh here we are oh there we are that
00:19:00okay so
00:19:02i remember there is a um
00:19:05uh let's see yeah you gotta mount the dash box yeah i figured that okay so i forgot how to
00:19:16mount in this
00:19:16man it's like uh um hey reggie no not reggie gemini i want to mount something in dash box i
00:19:27have a local
00:19:27folder and i'm in dash box on the z drive right now how do i do that again
00:19:39defining the scope personalizing message interpreting user intent i intend on opening a
00:19:46star trek game confirming dark box hypothesis interpreting dark spots quote unquote i'm just
00:19:53reading the thinking out loud part of the ai thing you know how do you go refining interpretation
00:20:00wow this thing's really working hard maybe it'll actually give us a good answer the first time
00:20:04i mean that's how uh pro always works
00:20:09yep oh that's what it is yeah
00:20:13even if you're just uh having a casual conversation it always works at me
00:20:19yeah i mean you can switch it out of thinking mode it'll be faster it won't do as many iterations
00:20:23of the
00:20:25interpretation here we are okay so that's easy so mount path to folder so in this case it's a long
00:20:32ass path hope this has copy and paste mount uh d why does it have a d there well i'll
00:20:40just type the word d
00:20:42uh uh path to folder which you cannot paste in there meaning i'm just going to put the cd in
00:20:48a uh
00:20:50trek cd we'll call it i'm going to put this in my f drive i'm just going to put it
00:20:54straight up my f
00:20:54driver exactly who doesn't mind a mess so it's going to be mount d
00:21:03f colon backslash trek underscore cd wait oh it's giving me an option to mount an iso
00:21:11oh yeah i got to mount the bin anyway wait no wait yeah oh wait that makes sense actually right
00:21:17we mount the bin but i already have the files why is it asking me oh okay there's two instructions
00:21:22okay
00:21:22i'll read the uh folder instructions only mount uh we'll call it we'll call it f
00:21:27mount f f colon backslash uh check cd and then let's see here um
00:21:41okay now it's mounted now you can just run setup from it it wants me to run windows 98 we
00:21:47are not
00:21:48installing windows 98 in virtualbox today so let's get back to macross do you remember love
00:21:52and i'll figure this out later um okay yeah now i have loud sound but i'm going to lower this
00:22:04down
00:22:04here i mean now you could also compare this to the new game if you want after you're done here
00:22:11yeah
00:22:16oh it's a good comparison actually because i think one game holds up
00:22:23hey reggie what is the correct answer here yes or no please translate and i will activate
00:22:28my local translator which i believe is already set up if it was set up after i reinstalled windows
00:22:33a few months ago i don't know if i did but we're gonna find out together right now when i
00:22:41press i
00:22:42actually had a a really good like setup for the translator like it was great it worked
00:22:48okay but we uh don't write our full assistant
00:22:55you are being told there is no save data do you want to create save data here
00:23:00correct answer yes select yes so the game can create a memory card save file
00:23:06and allow saving progress while you're trying to uh to translate that yeah i think i well i had
00:23:16a translator and i i could press like something like the scroll wheel on my mouse but i don't know
00:23:21if that was during i don't know if that was during a previous install of retro arch or not
00:23:26oh never mind no it's crossing yeah we got good sound that part's good now um i i tweaked it
00:23:34out you
00:23:34know how i do it but translators would be under i think what's the future
00:23:42yeah yeah right 1999 the future 2010 the future 2016 is also the future on evangelion right all right
00:23:51so let's see how enable ai service with setting a hot key so we go to uh settings ai service
00:24:00okay
00:24:00so we're going to look for ai service i'll show you ai service you pay monthly for that and they
00:24:07call
00:24:07a digital girlfriend i don't have an ai service here i am ai free i am free of the shackles
00:24:20of ai
00:24:20how does that make you guys feel oh here it is it's under here so i don't need accessibility i
00:24:27i just
00:24:28need ai service enabled the translation site is there and i need to verify the hot key that i think
00:24:34is not set up right now for some reason so now it actually works offline that's surprising because
00:24:45it works really good for me at least it worked um okay so now uh uh key map retro arch
00:24:53uh translate
00:24:58so that's going to be under l3 or something else so let's verify that so where do i go for
00:25:04that
00:25:04setting um okay gemini i'm going to tell gemini to go into like fast mode because i'm not waiting for
00:25:12that again uh which setting to do that i already enabled ai service and set the url and the languages
00:25:22okay i just told gemini i have the order i think it's on the input i'm going to check that
00:25:26there are hot keys i think up
00:25:30there
00:25:33we're able to make frames there's so many of them though
00:25:40probably at the bottom
00:25:43ai service key quote or mouse three so mouse button three i think is the middle button yep
00:25:50button is mouse three and key quote equal i have a quote are you there we go
00:25:59got it got it yeah i remapped it so that i can easily a mysterious gigantic battleship crashed
00:26:08early 1999 terrified by the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligence humanity began repairing
00:26:13and modifying this battleship in order to gain the power to counter the hype their hypothetical enemy
00:26:19now loading yeah yeah oh oh we hear the turbines revving up
00:26:27this follows the movie by the way this follows the backstory of the movie
00:26:31okay that's cool yeah i mean basically the same little different right i mean like the macross 7
00:26:37clearly took after the movie so i guess that's the one that supersedes the original but the original
00:26:42has so many lower points that i think are still like they're not completely irrelevant it's just
00:26:47that there are definitely divergences there like the way that uh roy folker dies in the movie i don't
00:26:54know what's better but i think the series hashes it out better on the whole
00:26:59i mean pineapple salad says at all
00:27:11this was a model after the f-14 tomcat which reminds me um i was supposed to show you a
00:27:17picture
00:27:20i have the picture right here i had it right there what i have only fans folder i don't even
00:27:29pay for
00:27:29that i must got this picture for free anyway
00:27:37damn it it didn't open up my preferred picture for the app
00:27:41i have to set windows again to open up oh it's a webp image okay so i have to establish
00:27:46the default
00:27:47program for that now too apparently um always use this program thank you okay so i'll show you the
00:27:54dragon lady right now wait it's not here oh here yeah here it is so this is one angle that's
00:28:08the inside
00:28:09of the u2 and i was hoping to find um i thought i had another picture of it but i'll
00:28:15just google it real
00:28:16quick u2 spy plane so this is the infamous or famous dragon lady and you can see based on some
00:28:26of these
00:28:26pictures here um looks like a glider yes exactly well in a way it is a glider so it's like
00:28:34definitely got
00:28:34that that's the camera and it's got long wings and on the edges of the wings they got these uh
00:28:40titanium skids because when it takes off these wheels actually get ejected and then when it's
00:28:45landing it only lands on the center set of wheels there's two in the front two in the back and
00:28:50a
00:28:50car like a race car has to follow the plane on the runway to make sure you know everything is
00:28:55good
00:28:55and also to guide the pilot like tell the pilot when he's like exactly about two feet off the ground
00:29:00because the plane stalls once he cuts engine power it's going to stall it's going to just drop
00:29:06and that's because you know like the design now at high altitude they have to fly like below
00:29:11supersonic because you lose control of the plane at supersonic speed but you gotta fly above like
00:29:16basically they have to fly within a like if they're flying at 620 miles an hour they can't
00:29:20go faster than 660 miles an hour they got to be somewhere between like this like narrow speed because
00:29:25if they go too fast they lose control if they go too slow they stall out and uh that's the
00:29:30u2 and
00:29:31this looks like the different types of uh cameras they can use uh newer versions of u2 now use digital
00:29:36cameras but it was only recent that digital cameras could actually compete with the film camera they
00:29:41were using on that so this is something that like we still use because like it's easy to maintain oh
00:29:47yeah they wear flight suits so this is a high altitude flight suit very similar to the suit that the
00:29:51astronauts wear when they go up in the space shuttle because it allows them to bail out at high altitude
00:29:57and it's orange so you can see them in the ocean i guess and you can see he's carrying a
00:30:01cooling
00:30:01unit with liquid nitrogen in it because the suit has to keep him cool and you know it's just stuffy
00:30:07ass suit
00:30:09um and then there's probably pictures of the one that got shot down over cuba
00:30:13so let's see here yeah there we go that's the one in the russian museum
00:30:21this one looks like a nasa now this is a reconnaissance squadron from the past it's got a
00:30:27gps or a satellite receiver up there now this is um an experimental unit that's the chase car
00:30:34that's doing midair refueling and nasa operates one you can see that's the nasa blackbird which is not
00:30:42a blackbird obviously but um nasa does operate these for certain experiments as well and then this is the
00:30:48periscope so this is how the original pilot before they went like modernized it how they would have
00:30:53taken a picture they would have seen like through this scope here and then they would have pulled
00:30:57the camera to snap off a picture like almost like the same it was a button on the joystick i
00:31:00think and
00:31:01this is the picture i was showing a moment ago back on my main screen where the uh pilot is
00:31:08uh flying
00:31:09over a chinese spy balloon and i just think it's the coolest selfie i've ever seen because like you know
00:31:15it's like an astronaut but not an astronaut and they wear the same suits on the sr-71 blackbird but
00:31:22um
00:31:24that plane there is just way more of a maintenance hog just like this plane this plane is modeled after
00:31:30the f14 tomcat the problem with f14 tomcat is it's got a swing wing the wings can change geometry
00:31:36depending on what speed they're going at which is good for control but you can just imagine that the
00:31:41maintenance on that is a bit more and we blew up a bunch of them in iran because we told
00:31:47them to
00:31:47iran before they uh had their revolution all right let me get the chat because i want to make sure
00:31:57that
00:31:58i can see the chat if uh if the stream gets disrupted
00:32:20i don't even know if i have a shader on it and i'm not gonna uh i'm not gonna spurg
00:32:24out on shaders
00:32:25oh wait a second yeah yeah i talked myself into it like in a split second i was like ah
00:32:31i need a
00:32:32shader i need a shader i need a shader i'll just load the final fantasy one
00:32:43is that's a playstation
00:32:48there we go now we don't got pixelated corners we got a what they call
00:32:52what is it called aperture grill that's what they're thinking though i don't know if this is
00:32:56better but we're just gonna leave it
00:33:05on my end
00:33:09on your end it's oh it's just my phone it's still running okay
00:33:19oh no wait i think screen just didn't crash what search attack lock on to okay this told me what
00:33:27buttons to press i guess so i gotta press the buttons i don't have japanese buttons on my gamepad
00:33:33i'll just wing it well i'll scratch you for help with this one
00:33:38uh you might want to hold on i think that's doing crap because even on my phone i can't see
00:33:46oh let's see here um thank you more power
00:33:54i don't even see our stream right now
00:34:05i want to be able to watch the zoom on my phone
00:34:10yeah so you're watching the stream on your phone and you're in discord on your computer or something
00:34:16i hear you welcome back
00:34:20welcome back welcome back welcome back
00:34:24it's a malfunction but we're gonna go online again in a few seconds okay i was just oh yeah reggie
00:34:33uh
00:34:34meantime reggie i just told you which uh that is asking which type of weapon you want to use
00:34:42like you want one that goes straight and it shoots at enemies it shows you in the direction you want
00:34:46one that like uh destroys enemies in your proximity which is the third option you want one that homes in
00:34:53on enemies which is the second option
00:34:58does it does it uh tell us button names like the screen is described yeah
00:35:03like there's only two buttons like there's like you shoot your normal shot and then
00:35:08uh you uh lock on with your missiles and uh you let go
00:35:14that's it wait a second let me get this stream back up and ready
00:35:23passing passing okay good
00:35:27passing one two three
00:35:38uh we are back
00:35:42i just saw the loli colo logo pop up on my youtube stream oh yeah you're back
00:35:47it was still giving me a spinner when i saw the loli colo logo but now we got you
00:35:51so anyway chat
00:35:56uh this is the intro
00:36:00oh i guess i did the intro twice
00:36:05it's the same
00:36:06we're about to find out
00:36:17i did once have a language uh a trained link uh speech model that hey what's up uh crack dealer
00:36:23is
00:36:24the sound still out okay so uh take a look at this this uh and uh look at those cracks
00:36:36you have a lock on
00:36:37you have a lock on
00:36:43which is what you want to do
00:36:47uh you actually want to be uh either just a plane or
00:36:52the uh like semi-plane mode
00:36:55okay yeah you're right gear walk mode yep rs you got it hey reggie um is my aspect ratio
00:37:03off a little bit should i make it less tall or is it correct like can you tell based on
00:37:07how
00:37:08letters and numbers are supposed to work look or something like that or reference a screenshot
00:37:12it looks perfect to me
00:37:16i mean you know you're probably right i was gonna make a random joke but i can't think of a
00:37:23joke right
00:37:24now um what so you have a lock on function like any enemies that you see on screen you can
00:37:29lock onto them immediately and
00:37:32and just uh press buttons
00:37:35so when i think it's square or something or circle you hold it down and then you release it once
00:37:43uh
00:37:45as you've locked onto everything and you can keep doing that you have infinite missiles
00:37:51they don't have infinite bombs
00:37:53oh yeah
00:37:54yeah
00:37:55yeah
00:38:01let's go
00:38:07we gotta wait until there are enemies on the screen here lock on
00:38:18I need to lock out the one you see enemies on screen.
00:38:22I'm gonna make use of save states.
00:38:26Okay.
00:38:31Well, I think the game looked better before the filter, so.
00:38:35Yeah, I loaded a second filter and it is trash, yeah.
00:38:42It's like it's trying to emulate an analog TV that has the contrast too high or something.
00:38:51Yeah, you're not wrong. You're not wrong, El.
00:38:58I'm gonna stick with this one, I think.
00:39:05That's interesting.
00:39:07There's no like option for aspect ratio here at all, I don't think.
00:39:15Okay, I guess we'll have to stick with that. I hope it's good.
00:39:18That looks okay.
00:39:22Let's see what the game looks like. The loading screen in the game with two different things.
00:39:36I got a stream at six o'clock with my friend Mike Pacific414.
00:39:40Okay, good. He got my message about the Star Trek idea I have.
00:39:48Emotional damage.
00:39:49Emotional damage.
00:39:59That matches a hot wife who you should never call hot.
00:40:13Oh, you do contact damage with objects in this game?
00:40:18Yup, I saw that.
00:40:20I literally kamikaze'd a...
00:40:23Actually, I didn't kamikaze, he killed me and survived.
00:40:32So, what you do is you lock on when you see enemies on screen and then release your missiles
00:40:39and then rinse, repeat.
00:40:40That's how you're gonna survive this.
00:40:44Because, uh, this game is kind of brutal.
00:40:49Like, even the first stage is kind of difficult.
00:41:11I think this screen is describing control behavior, not button mapping.
00:41:16Translation of the highlighted left column, button to start recovery.
00:41:21Oh, maybe that was helpful.
00:41:23Um, I want to see if we can translate Japanese.
00:41:29Yeah?
00:41:33We already have an AI translator built into...
00:41:37Yeah, it's incomplete.
00:41:54Thanks, thanks, Frank.
00:41:55Be a look for confirming that the sound isn't working.
00:42:05This thing is breaking?
00:42:06Mm-hmm.
00:42:07All right, good.
00:42:08I'm ready.
00:42:11Ah, there's butt out my finger.
00:42:17I don't want butt out my finger, even though it might make me better.
00:42:21Yeah.
00:42:21Have a, you know.
00:42:22Yeah.
00:42:23Like, you should compare how this game looks to the modern world.
00:42:27Yeah.
00:42:27Yeah.
00:42:27Because, um, this one does not close out.
00:42:29If you're looking at it.
00:42:42Oh.
00:42:43Let me see a model.
00:42:43You go out, uh...
00:42:45Oh.
00:42:46That's the shooting inside, which we were talking about.
00:42:49This arrow's...
00:42:49Yeah, that one.
00:42:50Yeah.
00:42:51It's beautiful.
00:42:52I like this one more already.
00:42:53No, I don't know.
00:42:54I should give the other one a chance.
00:42:55I think I like the gameplay on shooting inside more.
00:42:57Oh, yeah, that looks like an elongated ear right there.
00:43:00Don't use that.
00:43:02Because, uh, that actually damages you.
00:43:05That's, like...
00:43:07That's, uh, to be used, but, uh, you know, you have no other alternative to take a hit.
00:43:12It's, uh, basically, uh, I'll get out of my way here.
00:43:16Okay.
00:43:23They all leave the scene and wait before I get a chance to kill them.
00:43:27There we go.
00:43:35Oh, am I supposed to be destroyed of buildings?
00:43:38I know.
00:43:39You're only supposed to survive this.
00:43:44Yeah, you're only supposed to survive this.
00:43:46Yeah.
00:43:46The only thing you're supposed to be is to survive this.
00:43:49Just get to the end of the level.
00:43:51So, uh, basically, survive the gauntlet.
00:43:59Alright, now I know how to play.
00:44:03I'll just fire my regular opponent after locking on, and it'll hit everything.
00:44:06Just keep firing while, uh, yeah, and also just keep firing your regular opponent.
00:44:11Yeah, just keep firing your regular opponent as well.
00:44:16That's good.
00:44:17Fire your regular gun and then lock on when you see some while firing your gun.
00:44:22So that you keep doing damage.
00:44:34And then stay away from the edge of this thing as enemies come from, uh, behind you and will hit
00:44:39you automatically.
00:44:41But don't stay, uh, away from the ground and from the edge, from the left end.
00:44:47Because you're really good when you hit the cheap shots from there.
00:44:55But don't come below to the ground, because that's where enemies come from from behind you.
00:45:00Yeah, I'm just trying to be a fancy pilot.
00:45:03Because I'm a risk-taker.
00:45:05No, I don't know.
00:45:05It's not good.
00:45:06It's not good.
00:45:09It's not good.
00:45:09It's not good.
00:45:10It's not good.
00:45:15It's not good.
00:45:16Delta is moving to Skull 11, but it's not moving well.
00:45:19Calm down.
00:45:23I don't know how sweet we feel about that phase through, but, uh, again, see?
00:45:28Can you say that?
00:45:29Yeah, I, uh, you know what happened just now?
00:45:31I, I, I started using the analog stick out of Reflex.
00:45:35I think that works in, uh, Shooting Insight.
00:45:38Which are Shooting Insight?
00:45:39It works well.
00:45:39It works here as well.
00:45:41But, uh, we need to configure it.
00:45:44So that, uh, when, uh, we need to use the analog stick.
00:45:49It's not intended to be used with the analog stick, right?
00:45:51I'll, uh, I'll go with the authentic experience.
00:45:53I love what's up.
00:45:55Unless that was a feature in the original.
00:45:58Uh, no, it's not.
00:45:59Yeah, I'll stick with what's up.
00:46:01I love, uh, having Disney's local analog, because, uh, it's better to play fighting games on PS1 yet.
00:46:07Oh, yeah, yeah, you got a point.
00:46:11It's got less, uh, it's got less of a strain on the fingers.
00:46:24So, one of the Gundam games, uh, Battle Assault 2.
00:46:28So, yeah, they had, uh, these, uh, EGM, uh, had these, uh, EGM ads where they show, uh, they show
00:46:37two thumbs with, uh, like, uh, the huge calluses and, uh, basically the speed almost torn off.
00:46:46And, uh, you know, it's like a badge of honor.
00:46:49Like, uh, this is how hard you gotta play this game.
00:46:52I got it.
00:46:54Like, I was actually trying that time.
00:46:56And, uh, so let's try out this, uh, there's two games, actually, I, I, I remember, uh, before even doing
00:47:02Street Insight, there was one more in that Macross game I got.
00:47:05Actually, it was Macross Plus, which you already played.
00:47:07I'll sample it real quick.
00:47:09I just want to see what it's like.
00:47:11It's like Armored Core at the start.
00:47:14Uh, it was Macross, uh, Plus, right?
00:47:18It played like Armored Core at the start.
00:47:20That was the second tutorial that Paris was playing.
00:47:28Can we actually archive it?
00:47:30I think I was supposed to unzip it.
00:47:32You don't need to, actually.
00:47:36It should read, automatically.
00:47:41Well, oh, yeah, it looks like it worked.
00:47:44I tried it, you know, I figured, try it, went in doubt.
00:47:55Sony Computer Entertainment International.
00:48:04Sony.
00:48:08Released by these guys.
00:48:15I love having a translation button.
00:48:19Windmills.
00:48:21After the Obama administration, they built all these crappy windmills.
00:48:25But they require too much maintenance.
00:48:27And birds die.
00:48:28No, okay.
00:48:28I don't think birds is really a big deal.
00:48:30But, like, it is important if, like, people are claiming environmentalism and birds die from them.
00:48:34But I don't know if, statistically speaking, the birds are that bad.
00:48:40I got an interesting, too, for you, actually.
00:48:42Shit, I had a legal topic that was in mind.
00:48:44I can't remember what it is right now.
00:48:46Oh, yeah, I remember that.
00:48:47That should be, that should be off stream first.
00:48:48Because it's, uh, it might be controversial.
00:48:50But the other thing that was interesting was, um, what's the other thing that was interesting?
00:48:55That'll come back to me in a minute.
00:49:00Okay, press SWOT.
00:49:02I was pressing X instead of A.
00:49:06All right, so all of this is probably fine.
00:49:07Oh, crap.
00:49:08It goes all the way back when you do that?
00:49:10Okay.
00:49:11I'll remember that next time.
00:49:25Oh, that's beautiful.
00:49:26I love what I'm looking at right now.
00:49:28I mean, it is beautiful.
00:49:30I don't know why I don't have a default shader reset here for this.
00:49:33But I'm just going to pick, basically, the N64 one.
00:49:38I think that's going to...
00:49:38Oh, wait, that's for NES.
00:49:39Well, maybe it'll be good anyway.
00:49:46That's all right.
00:49:50Okay, I can't pick anything else.
00:49:52Wait, I...
00:49:53Oh, wait, okay, here we go.
00:49:54That's not bad.
00:49:56It looks a little better in some ways.
00:50:00You guys already watched this before?
00:50:07I assume you guys watched this earlier, so I'll skip it.
00:50:32We will check the brainwave synchronization status with YF-21.
00:50:37Something-something status, 82%.
00:50:40Look forward to the results of the exercise.
00:50:46The Entradi bloodline gives him a brilliant mind,
00:50:50which is the YF-21's greatest weapon.
00:51:03Oh, is it sound or stream?
00:51:06I think everything's off.
00:51:08I don't know if you can hear Yaris, but I think we lost El.
00:51:15Oh, yeah, you're eating lunch.
00:51:17Lunch is very long.
00:51:18Oh, I hear you.
00:51:20I hear you.
00:51:24He's just not adopted it for some reason.
00:51:26Echo, echo, okay, no echo anymore.
00:51:29Yes.
00:51:30I think it was the whole thing.
00:51:31I think your stream is out, too,
00:51:32because I'm getting a spinner on your stream right now.
00:51:35Oh, well, I actually turned off the stream.
00:51:40But I reconnect, because the sound always goes weird when that happens.
00:51:46I don't know what's causing it.
00:51:48Whatever.
00:51:49On Linux?
00:51:50I mean, on Linux, you would never have this problem.
00:51:53On Linux, it would be superior, and it would be faster, too,
00:51:57and they wouldn't be sparring on you, and Linux is better.
00:52:00No, I'm just kidding.
00:52:01You know, on Linux, the sound doesn't even work, probably.
00:52:04On Linux, you'd spend a week figuring out how to set up a virtual audio cable,
00:52:09and it would be amazing when it worked,
00:52:11but then if you ever had to make a change to it,
00:52:13or you changed your USB assignments,
00:52:15you'd be back at square one, spending another week fucking with it.
00:52:19I know, right?
00:52:21It works like Armored Core, by the way.
00:52:23Ah, yeah, I'm getting that LR thing now, I see.
00:52:29Just when I got the control schema.
00:52:42Welcome back, Pat.
00:52:44Yep.
00:52:45All right, let's try this again.
00:52:47Now...
00:52:49I like the graphic, but please do it.
00:52:51Yeah, circle straight, then.
00:52:52Easy.
00:52:55Easy.
00:52:55Easy.
00:52:58Easy.
00:53:00Easy.
00:53:01Easy.
00:53:02Easy.
00:53:02Whoa, what the hell was that?
00:53:03It does weird quick-time events.
00:53:05Heh.
00:53:07That's annoying.
00:53:09Easy.
00:53:13Easy.
00:53:17Easy.
00:53:20Easy.
00:53:21Easy.
00:53:22Easy.
00:53:24Easy.
00:53:30Easy.
00:53:41Easy.
00:53:43Easy.
00:53:46Easy.
00:53:51Easy.
00:53:53Easy.
00:53:53Easy.
00:53:54Easy.
00:53:55of these narrow, like a very different mix.
00:54:06I sound off again a bit.
00:54:19Good.
00:54:22From what I've seen from Ares earlier, your missiles actually auto-replenish, so he was expanding those.
00:54:34Okay, so now that I failed twice, so Reggie, can you read Japanese?
00:54:41I don't need to press the button twice to perform a search attack.
00:54:45Small attack energy is focused.
00:54:47Spread.
00:54:47I want to hear that again.
00:54:48It's not cool.
00:54:56And then I...
00:55:04Oh, you got a new game.
00:55:07Yeah, we can do Shooting Insight.
00:55:10There we go.
00:55:11I'm loading DSX, so I'm using my controller properly.
00:55:14Some games have gotten better at using controller.
00:55:16I think with BMNG Drive, that driving game, I don't need the DSX anymore because it has its own, like,
00:55:24system for, like...
00:55:25Like, I don't know, like, it directly deals...
00:55:28Doesn't that, doesn't Steam have, like, some built-in thingy, or...
00:55:33It does.
00:55:34And it used to be, um, like, less mature at some point, so I think at some point they must
00:55:39have updated it where it's better.
00:55:40So what DSX does now, it gives you more control over the controller for games that don't at all know
00:55:49how to tow a Steam or know how to tow the game.
00:55:51So what's the difference between something like that and a Joy2Key?
00:55:59Oh, Joy2Key, absolutely different in the context of a DSX, but mainly because with the DSX...
00:56:05Oh, that's weird.
00:56:06I changed my monitor mode to a completely different mode.
00:56:08Oh, boy.
00:56:09I might have to restart.
00:56:10Wait, and this...
00:56:10I might have this at...
00:56:11This looks great.
00:56:13I might have this at...
00:56:14I might have this at 120Hz right now.
00:56:16Um, okay, it's not at 120Hz.
00:56:17It looks good on your screen, so I'll leave it.
00:56:19But my screen just got really bright, which is usually a sign that...
00:56:25It does look good, though.
00:56:27But I need to fix that, actually, because my screen is...
00:56:33It shows motion artifacts if I, uh...
00:56:37Oh, my God.
00:56:39I paid for this game in America, and they still have it sitting up.
00:56:46Maybe it'll respond to Alt Enter.
00:56:51It did not respond to Alt Enter.
00:56:54Yeah.
00:56:55Brandon's...
00:56:56I've done this before.
00:56:59Control over.
00:57:03So, if you see anything that involves video, let me know.
00:57:06Video?
00:57:06Well, uh, you're moving too fast.
00:57:10Okay, I'm gonna get out of that one, and then I'll go back to the main menu.
00:57:14Okay, so...
00:57:15Oh, here we are.
00:57:16What's that?
00:57:17Do you know what that might say?
00:57:19Let's see, uh...
00:57:20Yeah.
00:57:21Full screen.
00:57:23It says full screen on our own.
00:57:36The bottom of the screen is trimmed.
00:57:46Yeah, I guess we just have to run it at 60 hertz.
00:57:5160 hertz.
00:57:5260 hertz is fine.
00:57:54Well, it's not so much that it's running at 60 hertz.
00:57:56The problem is that my monitor, when it's running at 60 hertz, I can't turn on MPRT mode.
00:58:00But, it's not the end of the world.
00:58:03Like, I don't think...
00:58:04Like, you guys won't be able to see a difference.
00:58:06It's more like...
00:58:07It's more for me.
00:58:09As they say, you can't...
00:58:10You can't love others unless you love yourself.
00:58:13Something like that.
00:58:14Oh, wait, here we are.
00:58:14I got it back.
00:58:15No, I don't have it back.
00:58:15Oh, well.
00:58:16Okay.
00:58:16So, whatever.
00:58:17We're gonna roll.
00:58:20So, you've already started this game?
00:58:24I did.
00:58:27I couldn't tell you how far I got.
00:58:34Okay.
00:58:35So, you got past the first stage.
00:58:44Yeah, I guess you did.
00:58:46I guess you did.
00:58:48Because, uh...
00:58:49Is that stage two or something?
00:58:50No, and it's horizontal.
00:58:52Because ours, uh...
00:58:54Was playing, uh...
00:58:56From, like, a vertical angle.
00:58:59Oh, I see.
00:59:05There we go.
00:59:06And now I got virtual audio cables.
00:59:09I'm wondering if this is actually the same game.
00:59:11Maybe it looks like the same game.
00:59:13I might have prematurely bought this game before it was truly available to America.
00:59:17I don't know.
00:59:18Because, like...
00:59:19I remember I was, like, going crazy looking for this game, like...
00:59:25Uh...
00:59:25And it was like...
00:59:26They had a release date.
00:59:28You Google it, and you can still find the release date, and it's not correct.
00:59:32It's like...
00:59:33Okay.
00:59:34It's just not...
00:59:35It's like...
00:59:35They had to, like, postpone it.
00:59:37I think they had, like, problems with, like, Harmony Gold and the whole copyright situation
00:59:41that they've been dealing with for, like, fucking three decades.
00:59:55Yeah, this definitely looks like the same game in Power Spray.
00:59:59It has the same GUI and stuff.
01:00:04There we go.
01:00:05It's a nice game game, yeah.
01:00:07Uh, do you know if he was playing on Nintendo?
01:00:11Yeah, it does on Switch.
01:00:14Even though that's the same...
01:00:16Though he did get past the first...
01:00:19Where, uh, maybe he was using a different character?
01:00:22I don't know.
01:00:23Maybe he was using a different character?
01:00:32There is something that you need to learn about these shooters.
01:00:37Don't move around so much.
01:00:40Don't move around so much?
01:00:42So much.
01:00:43Keep shooting and don't move around.
01:00:45Only move to get out of the way of those shots.
01:00:50The more you keep dancing around, that's an old school shooter.
01:00:56That's an old school shoot-em-up mentality.
01:01:00These modern shooters actually reward like finesse during dodging better.
01:01:11You don't need to dance around like that for example.
01:01:22There's moving tiny instruments.
01:01:26Yeah, I think you're right.
01:01:31It got a little louder so I can hear it better and then I will lower the game audio a
01:01:35little bit.
01:01:37There we go.
01:01:41Moving tiny instruments, that's not going to help if you're using a keyboard or something.
01:01:47Oh yeah, I'm using a...
01:01:48I'm using a DS5 right now.
01:01:51I can't...
01:01:52I can't imagine like not moving around, but I'll try your way.
01:01:57Stop moving so much.
01:02:00I have to move somewhat.
01:02:02How do I collect these?
01:02:03I like to move in small instruments, not giant ones.
01:02:08Basically like that.
01:02:10Just move a little bit tight a bit.
01:02:12Alright, here's how I'm going to play.
01:02:13I'm going to die.
01:02:15Be precise with that.
01:02:16Be precise with your movement.
01:02:18Be precise.
01:02:20Be precise.
01:02:20Got it.
01:02:22There.
01:02:25We are taking much less hits now.
01:02:35I think you used up all of your bombs too.
01:02:46So that's restore your HP.
01:02:49Okay.
01:02:50Heh.
01:02:51That's what I was saying earlier.
01:03:00Ow.
01:03:00There you go.
01:03:02There you go.
01:03:03There you go.
01:03:09There you go.
01:03:10There you go.
01:03:12There you go.
01:03:12There you go.
01:03:13There you go.
01:03:13There you go.
01:03:15Okay.
01:03:16So uh, don't uh, don't dance when you die.
01:03:19Just move uh, imprecise small instruments.
01:03:23I got two things going on.
01:03:25I'm, I'm dodging gently, which I can do better, but I'm also collecting HP's whenever I can.
01:03:32Oh.
01:03:33Now we're in this folder.
01:03:34Wait.
01:03:34Wait.
01:03:35Maybe as this is where I was supposed to be.
01:03:49Damn it.
01:03:50I'm trying to collect that box, but you have to shoot it before you can collect it.
01:03:54Yep.
01:03:59Like, it's got beautiful graphics.
01:04:01I mean, you know, it's not that bad actually.
01:04:03It's just, I just don't like shoot-'em-ups as much because like, you're limited.
01:04:09You can only shoot and fly a little bit.
01:04:12Well, uh, you, again, like, shoot-'em-ups like this are about fancy dodging.
01:04:22About fancy precise dodges.
01:04:24Like that one I did just now.
01:04:26That was awesome.
01:04:27Yeah.
01:04:28Ow.
01:04:35No.
01:04:35I gotta save them.
01:04:37That's, uh, that's for when you're about to take a hit.
01:04:41Cause, uh, you have a lot of those.
01:04:43Okay.
01:04:43I know where I could've used that already.
01:04:45I got you.
01:04:47I'm sorry.
01:04:56Okay.
01:05:29I see those multiple shots, they look super intimidating, but if you look closely, they actually fan out when you're
01:05:36away from them, which gives you more room, more space to get past them.
01:05:45Yeah, they only move in one direction, so you don't really need to worry.
01:05:50Alright, I have a pretty good background now in this, so I think I can do this now, because I
01:05:58have a better idea based on what you were saying.
01:06:03Like, look at the enemy bullets. They move very slowly in one direction, so all you need to do is
01:06:09just maybe move one instrument out of the way, and they'll never hit you.
01:06:18See? You can even get super close to the man, and they won't hit you.
01:06:28There you go. See?
01:06:31If you're not panicking and moving around so much, you take this a lot less often.
01:06:40Yeah, because the other thing, when I got with the program last time, I was, like, already a quarter health.
01:06:55Basically, uh, most modern, uh, like, shoot-'em-ups, 2D shoot-'em-ups, or work like this.
01:07:03You dodge when you need to.
01:07:05You don't, uh, you don't dodge when you don't need to, because you might actually run into a bullet.
01:07:23I don't actually bring up my HP's, because I don't see anything changing in that bar when I get those
01:07:27yellow things.
01:07:28I think that nothing is bringing up your HP, actually.
01:07:32So, uh, it seems like you only have that one bar.
01:07:35Yeah. That's the, that's the only way to keep, to restore HP, is not to lose it. Keep it.
01:07:41Yep.
01:07:43I keep going for that save state button, and I'm like, oh wait, no.
01:07:46At least it's the same game Iris was playing, but, uh, he was at a different level or something, I
01:07:50guess?
01:07:52Does the dodge myth analogy that you gave just now work here, too, or is it different?
01:07:56Yes. Yes, it does. Watch.
01:07:58See?
01:08:00And you know, when you know you can't, I should just use one of your assists, which, uh, you just
01:08:06did.
01:08:09There, see?
01:08:12It's kind of fun.
01:08:13I don't, even though I'm dying, it's fun here.
01:08:16Yeah.
01:08:17Oh, and while you did this sound out, I don't get it.
01:08:20Oh, no.
01:08:21It was just, uh, you were screaming.
01:08:24Yeah.
01:08:28I don't know what's happened, but whatever.
01:08:34But yeah, if I had to use my setup on, then that's, uh, it would probably be, uh, very hard
01:08:41to just get it working with the sound card I use, which is external.
01:08:51I visited my BFF yesterday, uh, my friend William, and, uh, I told him, like, how, yeah, you know, you
01:08:57occasionally will do a Linux segment every now and then, which is kind of interesting.
01:09:00Like, you know, even though you're not, like, doing the main Linux topic, like, I noticed, like, during the week,
01:09:04you always sometimes do, like, you know, oh, I'll play this game over no machine on my Linux laptop.
01:09:08And I think it's interesting to me because, like, I remember when we were discussing Linux, I said, you know,
01:09:14like, I wouldn't sell you Linux, but, like, you gotta have a use for it or get a feel for
01:09:21it.
01:09:21I think it's good, like, even if it's, like, it's not, like, a practical compared to running the game on
01:09:25your own computer.
01:09:26Which, I don't know, maybe it is, but I think, like, just using it even...
01:09:30Oh, there's, uh, there's lag, there's in the lag.
01:09:33But I think it's good that you're using it because, like, you're getting a feel for Linux.
01:09:36Because I think what matters is, like, when you use Linux like that, eventually you'll maybe realize, oh, I need
01:09:44something that runs on Linux.
01:09:45And I realize that, based on my experience with Linux, I can do this.
01:09:49You know, so I don't know what that unmet need is, if that'll ever come up.
01:09:53But I do believe, like, from experimentation, like, the way I learned Linux was, it wasn't even on Linux.
01:09:59I, uh, I had a NetBSD installed on a, uh, Sun Microsystems Spark station, which is like a, it's a
01:10:07pizza box sized server, basically.
01:10:09But they made two versions, they made a server and a workstation.
01:10:12So the workstation has a video card, they actually call it a frame buffer card.
01:10:15It's got an enormous...
01:10:17I mean, it just works like when you root your phone and you enable, like, super privileges.
01:10:23It's basically the same thing, yeah.
01:10:24And, like, actually on iPhones, there is some commonality with, uh, like, uh, FreeBSD.
01:10:31So when you're in the command terminal on an iPhone with the jailbroken iPhones, you are in a BSD terminal,
01:10:36basically.
01:10:37It's not even Linux like Android.
01:10:39Um, but I learned a lot, like, what I learned was, like, on NetBSD and Free, uh, OpenBSD, they had,
01:10:46uh, different package managers.
01:10:47But the gist of it was, nobody's compiling code, like, nobody's making, a lot of apps aren't being made to
01:10:54run on Sun.
01:10:54But since the source code's available, they make a repository with the source code.
01:11:00And then when you install an app, if there's already a binary, it'll install the actual installer.
01:11:04If there's not a binary, but they have the source code in the repository, it already has a complete database
01:11:09of, like, dependencies.
01:11:10And it'll, it takes forever to install things, but compared to, like, you manually fetching all the dependencies, like, it
01:11:18usually gets them automatically.
01:11:19Now, the thing is that on a Sun workstation, it's such a weird architecture, like, it's a different CPU altogether.
01:11:26So, realistically, like, the package manager is a lot more automatic on Windows, whereas on Linux, you'll usually find yourself
01:11:32fetching one or two dependencies that just don't exist in that repository.
01:11:36So you have to get the dependency and it manually set up.
01:11:39But it was, like, it kind of taught me a little bit about what's going on, how it works.
01:11:44And I remember, like, I would just use it mainly, the main use I had for it was, I would
01:11:50run Apache web server.
01:11:51And that's because before Google Drive, if you want to share, like, large email attachments, it was just easier to
01:11:59put it on a folder on my server and send a link to that.
01:12:04Beyond that, I used it for local file storage hostages, although I don't think there was a lot of storage
01:12:09capacity on that machine, so it didn't really serve me.
01:12:11It was more like I was pulling data from the server, from my desktop.
01:12:15The server would be getting data from the Windows drive remotely, but that was, like, I don't even remember how
01:12:21often I did that.
01:12:22Then the other thing that computer did that was cool was, you could type in a command to run the
01:12:26media player in the command line, and it would play music on the speaker.
01:12:29So I'd be, like, on a terminal, a remote terminal, like an SSH on my desktop.
01:12:33And then music would start coming out of the speaker on that computer instead, which was, like, just a gimmick,
01:12:38but still kind of cool that you have this weird server and the speaker wasn't there just for making beeping
01:12:43sounds.
01:12:43Yeah, I did terrible here.
01:12:50How did ours do?
01:12:53Uh...
01:12:53Well, ours could get past the first boss, but, uh, he got to the boss, and, uh...
01:13:00He's usually better...
01:13:01He's better at games...
01:13:04So, you know, I know, like, whatever I'm doing, he probably did better.
01:13:08He was even, uh, in this level of health.
01:13:11Like, maybe, uh, depends on the character you're playing.
01:13:16Yeah, it could be.
01:13:17I know it's the music.
01:13:18I don't recognize any of the music.
01:13:19I think that might be why the game was delayed.
01:13:21Let me ask Reggie while we're here.
01:13:26Hey, Reggie.
01:13:26Have you updated the game?
01:13:29Uh, I think it's automatically updated.
01:13:32Okay.
01:13:34Hey, Reggie.
01:13:36I'm playing a game called Macross Shooting Insight on, uh, PC.
01:13:39I bought it on Steam some months ago.
01:13:42Um, and I remember the game was in development hell.
01:13:44Like, it, like, kept getting delayed because of the whole copyright situation with Harmony Gold and all that.
01:13:49So, I noticed that we have some generic electric guitar music in the background.
01:13:53Is this, like, different than, like, like, what was originally intended?
01:13:57Or is this game supposed to have, like, more Macross music?
01:14:00Am I going to...
01:14:01If I progress through this game, which is really difficult, by the way, Reggie, and if you have any cheats,
01:14:04let me know.
01:14:05Um, do you know if I'll get to hear my favorite Macross songs?
01:14:09You know, I mean, I love the Macross 7 soundtrack.
01:14:11I mean, you know, I got every album.
01:14:13Well, I don't own them.
01:14:14Yeah, there were some songs playing when Iris was playing earlier.
01:14:19Ah.
01:14:20Hey, Google, stop!
01:14:21Okay, good.
01:14:22My Google is reminding me that I have a stream at 6.
01:14:26So, I'll be, uh, have to be ready, like, uh, I'll have to, like, uh, depart a half hour before
01:14:31the stream so I can get a snack.
01:14:35Well, you know, it's, uh, we didn't start at 5 a.m. here, so, uh, we could end any time.
01:14:40I'll record it in that case.
01:14:43Yeah, if you want, I think a couple...
01:14:46I'm sorry, go on.
01:14:48Do you want to give it one more shot, or do you want to call it quits here?
01:14:52Eh, let's give it one more shot while Reggie narrates.
01:14:57And tells me...
01:15:00Wait, do I have to click on the play button in Reggie's voice?
01:15:04Because he doesn't always play automatically after I click generate.
01:15:07He's still generating.
01:15:08Three of three.
01:15:09Okay, he's only generating chunk three of three.
01:15:12Right, Reggie?
01:15:13It's not your fault, you're slow.
01:15:15The server is slow.
01:15:16My bad.
01:15:18Oh, he went automatic.
01:15:26So, I'm actually doing better with the D-pad right now, El.
01:15:45Yep.
01:15:45It's more precise.
01:15:49Nice.
01:15:50Like, I think it was also, like, yeah, it felt more natural to dance, because I was always
01:15:54over...
01:15:56Over...
01:15:56Yeah.
01:15:57Does that count as one more try?
01:16:00Well, it depends on you.
01:16:02Alright, one more try.
01:16:03I'm gonna really focus this time around, because this is my last try.
01:16:08My last shot to impress the chat with my fighter pilot ability.
01:16:18I use the special when I'm about to get hit, like before.
01:16:23Yeah, when you know you're surrounded by bullets, because they use it.
01:16:28It should stop most of the bullets.
01:16:32Like that.
01:16:44Pay attention to when enemies appear on screen, because both of them appear on screen first
01:16:50and then start shooting.
01:16:58And then they shoot.
01:17:03I noticed that the hitbox isn't the entire vehicle.
01:17:06It's like the cockpit, or the header.
01:17:10Yeah, sure, actually.
01:17:12Like, when I hit the legs, it grazes them, it seems.
01:17:18You'll see sometimes when I'm, like, hitting the bottom of that guy, and it's not really
01:17:23that, like, broad, so you do eventually hit them, but...
01:17:25Oh, okay, let's just do that.
01:17:27Oh, shit, I'm out of fucking moves.
01:17:29Oh, now I got one?
01:17:31I hit that button already.
01:17:32It didn't work last time I pressed it.
01:17:34It didn't work last time.
01:17:39Oh, man, there's no way I'm getting further than this.
01:17:49Alright, I'm gonna try to purely survive here.
01:17:55So, do you think I could do better if I focused purely on survival and not hitting things?
01:18:00Yes, actually.
01:18:01I mean, that's how these games, uh, should be played.
01:18:05Right.
01:18:05So, I'm gonna try that last time.
01:18:07These games, I expect you to know that, uh, you're not supposed to be, uh, like, trying
01:18:13to shoot down everything, which, uh, most of the time is impossible.
01:18:18Shoot down the largest threats, basically.
01:18:21Make room for yourself to dodge.
01:18:28Ow.
01:18:41Hey, when you're surrounded by bullets, you tend to do this zigzag movement, which, uh,
01:18:47does not help you dodge.
01:18:49Yeah.
01:18:50True.
01:18:55Like, uh, you were surrounded there, and you stayed calm, and then you moved out of
01:18:59the way at the right time, and you got out of it.
01:19:03But if you start zigzagging, hoping that the zigzag will help you dodge, uh, it's not
01:19:09going to work, just parse what you see on screen.
01:19:16Like, uh, break, break it down.
01:19:18Is, is it actually something that you could be zigzagging, or, you know, the space that
01:19:26you could actually occupy where there's no bullets.
01:19:31And, uh, you know, make that decision to, uh, use your bomb if you find that there really
01:19:38is no way to dodge.
01:19:42Well, in my case, I flew right into a missile.
01:19:46Alright, well, as much as I'm addicted to this game now.
01:19:51You could, uh, play it on your stream.
01:19:53I could, uh, I think I will, um, because I'm having enough fun with it right now that
01:19:58I could play it on my stream.
01:20:01So, uh, graphics-wise, what do you think of this one compared to the PS1 game?
01:20:06I think, uh, the PS1 game holds up pretty well.
01:20:09It absolutely holds up pretty well.
01:20:11And, uh, you know, we're talking about the, the, the shoot-em-up on PlayStation 1.
01:20:15You know, it holds up pretty well.
01:20:17I actually, uh, you know what, I got a, I got a game, I got a game for Switch.
01:20:22It's a Macross, a original Macross game.
01:20:24It's similar to the one we just played, but it's a modern game for Switch.
01:20:27And it has also, it has beautiful graphics.
01:20:30Like, I'd say, like, so this game definitely has more beautiful graphics, like, for the
01:20:33actual gameplay.
01:20:35Um, the cutscenes actually are lacking because there are no cutscenes.
01:20:39It's, like, stuff that you gotta read, and the pictures are fine.
01:20:42Like, the graphic design's fine.
01:20:44I just can't read it.
01:20:48Like, I mean, here I just went through the quick menu, like, I still don't know how to
01:20:53get out of the game.
01:20:53I, yeah.
01:20:56So, uh, let's, uh, let's know in this.
01:21:02Ah, there we go.
01:21:04So, yeah.
01:21:05Oh, good in gaming.
01:21:08And, uh, hey, Reggie, say goodnight to L, and, uh, say goodbye to the chat.
01:21:14Well, why am I telling you what to say?
01:21:16Say anything you want, but maybe make it a haiku or something.
01:21:20It doesn't have to be a haiku.
01:21:20You can do anything you want.
01:21:21But, you know, spice it up for us, buddy.
01:21:29But after this, I'll, uh, I'll go in there, I'll get out, I'll, uh, be in the chat for
01:21:34the remainder.
01:21:35I always keep the stream open.
01:21:37Gotta get those watch hours up.
01:21:38Oh, wow.
01:21:38It didn't give me the copy and paste button, but he does have a poem.
01:21:40So we'll let him read the poem.
01:21:44Generate.
01:21:44Okay.
01:21:46And then I'm going to make my animated background for the Star Trek thing.
01:21:50I'm going to make the animated beam me up video.
01:21:52All right, Reggie.
01:21:52So give us that haiku, buddy.
01:21:54Stars drift past the rails.
01:21:56Signals fade into the night engine's hum at Rest L.
01:22:00That's not the whole sentence.
01:22:03Maybe this.
01:22:06Actually, I did have this problem recently where, like, it would treat a new line.
01:22:10Like.
01:22:12Stars drift past the rails.
01:22:14Signals fade into the night engine's hum at Rest L.
01:22:17Ride ends for now, but the line is never gone.
01:22:19We'll meet down the track.
01:22:20Good night.
01:22:22Good night, travelers all.
01:22:24Keep your course in mind.
01:22:26Your speed.
01:22:27End of line.
01:22:28Okay, that is all.
01:22:28Thanks all for having me.
01:22:29Thanks for having me, Norris.
01:22:30And I'll catch you guys later.
01:22:31Hey, why is, wait.
01:22:32Okay, never mind.
01:22:33The right mouse is moving.
01:22:34Peace out.
01:22:34Thanks again.
01:22:35You have a good night.
01:22:38Bye!
01:22:39Bye, bye.
