00:01hi guys just wanted to come on here and answer some of your questions for anyone who is new
00:07to my page my name is Raquel I am a mom of a three-year-old boy and a set
00:12of four-month-old
00:13quadruplets and one of the most asked questions that I get is that I can see the quads with IVF
00:22or with a naturally conceived and the answer is technically neither my husband and I decided to
00:29try to conceive not too long after getting married and after a couple months we realized it wasn't
00:35happening so I decided to go to the doctor and get checked out and that's that is when my doctor
00:40decided to put me on Clumen for anyone who's not familiar Clumen is a medication that is given to
00:48women to help them ovulate when they can't ovulate on their own so we tried every single dosage 100
00:55200 and 300 and I was able to conceive on the last round of 300 since doctors would not let
01:03me try
01:04for more than six months and that's how we were able to conceive my son after that we decided we
01:11wanted to try again because my husband has always wanted to be a girl dad if you haven't already
01:17watched our gender reveal video you will see his reaction that has always been his dream to be able
01:22to have a baby girl and so we went straight to Clumen as doctors were very clear I was not
01:29going to be able
01:30to conceive on my own we tried everything 100 200 300 we try with we try with metformin we try
01:42Clumen
01:43with metformin we try metformin on its own you name it we tried it and we were not successful and
01:50that's
01:50when we decided to go ahead and move forward with um seeing a fertility doctor and so we decided to
01:58go
01:59the IUI route um and I was put on letrosol which is ironic because as some of you guys may
02:07know
02:07letrosol is a more mild medication than Clumen um we were giving a less than 10 chance of being able
02:15to conceive as I was only able to have one healthy follicle and I did have a cyst blocking one
02:22of my ovaries
02:23um so the doctors were very clear that it most likely was not going to happen and to our shock
02:30we got
02:31pregnant with quadruplets so that is a bit of our story hope hope that answers some of your questions um
02:40another one of the
02:41questions I received was if I was on supplements or prenatals while trying to conceive and the answer
02:48is technically no um since I was not consistent on taking medications um or any prenatals but I did take
02:57them while I was pregnant with the quads um so hope that answers your questions if you guys have any

03:09to close out by saying to any woman out there who is struggling with infertility um just know that I
03:16hear you and I see you I pray for your journey I know it's lonely it is hard um it's
03:23physical it's mental
03:24it's emotional um I even contemplated whether I wanted to come on here and talk about it because it
03:30brings back a lot of those emotions yes I do have five beautiful children um but it still was a
03:37hard road
03:38for me to go through with my husband and so just know you are not alone and for any woman
03:44out there
03:45who is not struggling with infertility just also be there of support for any friends or you know family
