00:00It's one of the key staging grounds for U.S. operations in the region,
00:04which makes the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia such an appealing target for the Iranians.
00:10According to U.S. media reports, around a dozen American soldiers were wounded,
00:15including five seriously, and several aerial refueling planes were hit in strikes carried
00:21out by Tehran. Iran broadcasts what it claims are images of the operation on national television.
00:28The Islamic Revolutionary Guard said it carried out its 84th wave of retaliatory strikes using
00:35missiles and drones. In a statement, the IRGC claimed that its operatives destroyed a number
00:41of refuelers and the logistical fleet supporting the U.S. terrorist army at the Al-Kharj base.
00:48It's not the first time the Prince Sultan base has come under attack.
00:52In a previous incident on March 1st, a U.S. serviceman was wounded and later died from
00:58his injuries. Shortly after that, Iran managed to damage five refueling planes that were on the
01:05tarmac. A month into the war, the Iranian attack shows that the regime remains able to strike at
01:12the heart of American assets, despite the Trump administration's claims that it's annihilated
01:17Iran's ballistic missile capabilities. Meanwhile, American and Israeli forces are continuing their
01:24strikes. Iran's foreign minister has accused them of targeting civilian centers, including schools,
01:30hospitals, and residential areas. The University of Science and Technology in Tehran was also
01:36reportedly damaged. Nearly 1,500 Iranian civilians have been killed since the war began, according to a
01:44report by several human rights NGOs. On the American side, 13 soldiers have died since February 28th,
01:51and nearly 300 have been wounded.
