00:00Chill. No chill at all. And speaking of no chill, the next rider in the gate, Justine Dufour-Lapont,
00:06she is our reigning freeride world tour champion, riding for peak performance, ready to go. She said
00:12she wants to do something that she will remember when she's an old lady. That was her goal for the
00:18day. So Justine Dufour-Lapont getting right into it, off the top, into the air and starting things
00:24off. Very strong for Justine. Very strong, moving with full intention, great air, keeping that ski
00:32in the fall line. She's improved so much over the years and really just pushing her limit every year.
00:39Yeah, she's constantly learning. She's such a student of the sport coming into freeride
00:45after that incredible Olympic mogul career and coming into a huge feature there, launching off,
00:53landing perfectly. Justine Dufour-Lapont keeping things moving through this absolutely beautiful
01:00flank on the Petit-Bec and another big feature looming below her as Justine finding her entrance,
01:07a massive feature in the powder and she lands it perfectly, hand in the air for Justine.
01:15That took all the strength she's been building all season, a pretty flat landing and there's a chance
01:21both her poles are gone. Yeah, they definitely are. She left it all out there. She wanted to do
01:31something that she was proud of and she certainly should be proud of that one.
01:35That was ginormous!
01:39Ginormous indeed. It was just Justine's birthday and she thought this would be a great way to have a
01:44final present. Well, our hover air line trackers showing that, I mean, the big air at the top,
01:50a huge air in the middle and then that monster at the bottom that just blew her poles out of
01:55her hand
01:55didn't even slow her down. It took us a while to even clock that the poles were gone.
01:59I love just the start, her entrance and showing that full commitment of I'm not going to ski into it,
02:05I'm going to take an air which requires a lot of technique and speed control afterwards to be able to
02:10hit this next cliff.
02:11Yeah, that feature in the middle and then we see her coming down and this one ate up a couple
02:16of the ski
02:17men going right off the nose, could not have taken that figure and barely even any impact. So she found
02:23the exact right transition and then this was the linchpin, a huge air there blasting into the powder.
02:32Both poles just vanished in the powder cloud but no issue there in terms of control, just the loss of
02:39the poles. So Justine, all smiles at the bottom.
02:45Hi guys! Salut tout le monde à la maison! C'est fou!
02:49It is crazy!
02:54This is maybe the quietest we've ever seen Justine. We're waiting for her to speak this time.
03:05She deserves that. You know she started off so strong this season with the first place and then two
03:13crashes afterwards so she's feeling I'm sure relieved and so excited to have one to her feet. 79.67 that
03:23will
03:23put her right into first place straight into that hot seat that she likes being in.
03:29She does, yeah. The hot seat, hot takes from Justine Dupour-Levon.
