00:01Jake Paul is eyeing a return to the ring in late 2026 or early 2027
00:06after undergoing a second jaw surgery
00:08following his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in December.
00:15I got my second surgery recently,
00:17and the doctor said it will be four, five or six months
00:20to even be able to spar to see how the bone is healing, admitted Paul.
00:24So that puts us maybe late this year or early next year for a fight.
00:30Paul's jaw was broken in two places
00:32when Joshua landed an almighty right hand
00:34in the sixth round of their highly publicised clash.
00:37Surgery came immediately after his loss,
00:40and a follow-up procedure was required in February
00:42to stabilise the damage.
00:46In the interim, the YouTuber-turned-boxer
00:48has been mapping out his comeback carefully
00:50and plans the return in the division that actually suits him.
00:53He did amazing. He hits really hard.
00:57Definitely will be a cruiserweight, Paul said.
01:00Joshua's punches hurt way more than people in my weight class.
01:03That's where I'm best at, for sure,
01:04and where I want to continue to climb in the rankings
01:07and make some statements.
