04:02thing i really appreciate about you my real name is christian right and i want you to talk about how
04:06you found out that you are a vessel in comedy to lead people to christ because you always talk about
04:11that on stage and being able to show spread the word and things like that at what moment did you
04:15realize okay this is what i'm put on earth to do i mean you know i i was kind of
04:21like being
04:21molded my whole life to be doing this it's just i never saw myself being a comedian you know i'm
04:27saying i'm a vessel regardless whether i'm a comedian or not i'm a vessel for the higher power
04:32it just you bring people to me he allowed me to handle my business so i gotta spread his word

04:40let the people know how it's being done you know what i'm saying so i think that's once i realized
04:45that was my purpose and i realized i gotta spread the word even with through my coming and
04:50and and through laughter i realized this is what i've put on earth to do so i gotta make sure

04:56that to the fullest i love that have you ever thought about taking any of your stuff other
05:00like being a deacon going into getting maybe becoming a reverend anything like that oh no man

05:28the world bring go tell the people about me so that's what i'm doing i'm in the streets i'm telling

05:43many hats from on top of comedy you're doing movies you have your own show uh your artistry
05:48though i love the song that you had with the money he was playing that on the radio heavy
05:53when are we playing it i need a gold record keep playing it but you recently had a song come

05:58about a linen which we're going to talk about 404 day in a little bit what's next when it comes

06:02the artistry are we getting a full project sometime soon collaborations and stuff that you
06:05already got in the vault at the tour we got a lot of we got a lot of stuff in
06:08tour right now go
06:09listen to all the old music that i got i got 10 albums out right now you're just gonna look

06:14everywhere from live mistake my next taste to to spotify to apple music to prime everything
06:21y'all they do everywhere um i'm just with the music it's more so just letting people know like i'm
06:27i can diversify myself you feel what i'm saying like i ain't gotta be in one avenue or one lane

06:33i really got so many talents and you know and it take time to display your talents the
06:39the appropriate way and if you don't want to go out there and give people stuff and they're like
06:44oh man you know because it's hard for these people to think you multi-faceted so i gotta show them
06:50in a in a timely fashion but i gotta show them it's for real you know so it's definitely i

06:56about to drop two projects this year two projects yeah two projects so we got two projects coming up in
07:012026 celebrity square do we have any more insight on that about how you've been hosting on things
07:07like that man one thing about it we we we planning on and we creating our own show as of
07:12right now so
07:13we got a couple things in store but uh kevin hart production has teamed up with 85 south we're about
07:18to shoot a movie that's dropping on tubie uh we're going to going to production in june we're going to
07:24another production in august so you know we we got things in store now so when we pop up
07:31my boy not playing can you give me some concepts though or just like general ideas of like what
07:36these shows are going to be somewhat of looking like man you know what they be stealing ideas
07:40so much we got to make sure the money and the escrow first fear
07:47no that's real that's real that's real uh on this tour uh one person that i definitely want to give
07:52their flowers to is dj fresh right dj fresh be holding it down when y'all are on before y

07:58and bring the atmosphere and things like that talk about how that's been opening up the crowd for you
08:02being that he's almost an artist himself at this point we've been handling business man you know
08:06that my boy you know his crowd work was crazy you know what i'm saying and doing the thing and

08:11brought him on the chris brown tour and we did our thing and when they saw him do his thing

08:18was like hey man we like him you dig what i'm saying and that's how you do man you plug
08:21people in
08:22so they can handle their business and flourish and just to see him keep you going and and liven
08:27the crowd up and and doing what he's doing it just it just shows you like when you help someone
08:33it's on them to continue to do what they need to do you know what i'm saying so when he
08:37go out there
08:38and he open up the crowd and and getting them full hype for me man i just be appreciating you

08:43i think everybody on the tour appreciate it so and to bring another uh uh uh kind of like dynamic

08:48the show you know so we've been having a lot of people jay the kid just performed stephen the
08:52mills performed anthony hamilton just performed so you know we we working baby yeah we work what's
09:00next for the 85 south show as a whole i know y'all got the podcast going on y'all

09:04things like that what's going on with uh what y'all coming up next after this tour is going to
09:08conclude uh we got more movies more tv shows and we just produce and we we put a lot of
09:13people
09:13in front of y'all that we think that's funny so y'all just got to stay tuned because we

09:18coming you show a lot of love to your ogs and people in the game i remember one time i
09:22was
09:22listening to the steve harvard morning show and he brought y'all up there and gave you all your
09:26flowers uh basically crying y'all's like the new kings of comedy in a sense what has been one of
09:30the biggest moments for you um as far as like older folks has been in the game um as far
09:34as giving you
09:34your own flowers and recognizing your work um well you know steve harvard definitely one of the ogs
09:40dig what i'm saying all the ogs all the original kings of comedy man you know just getting advice from
09:45them and and and from hearing what they had to do to pave the way um i did a movie
09:50with uh eddie murphy
09:52and i had a two-minute conversation and just to hear how he felt that he wished he would have
09:58just
09:58kept doing stand-up it's just like all right no matter what i'm gonna do i'm gonna make sure i
10:01keep
10:02doing stand-up and having that in my back pocket so i can lean on you know what i'm saying
10:05so
10:06just to the hit of ogs it's just a a testament to especially what they did and and and what
10:13they
10:13done before we got here i'm going on my 13th year doing stand-up comedy so i'm i'm i'm still
10:21a newbie
10:21in the game but i had i had earthquake to give me my made man stamp once i hit my
10:2710 years so
10:27it's more so you being a a student of the game and want to be better and want to continue
10:33to elevate
10:34and understanding that oh i do got another 15 years and 20 years of telling jokes and i gotta make
10:40sure
10:40i'm good i gotta make sure i'm poor i gotta make sure that my pen game is right i gotta
10:44make sure
10:45that the people is following me and understanding there's gonna be another generation in the next
10:50seven years like i've been doing it 13 years i done had people go from middle school to high school
10:55two times
10:58you see what i'm saying like and the first people has already grown the first set 25 now that was
11:05me
11:05on 27. you see what i'm saying so it's like like how many times can i do this and how
11:12many times am i
11:12able to do this and once i see the game and the business it's like i i gotta make sure

11:18great for the next seven and for the next seven you know what i'm saying and not only that that
11:23seven got
11:23to grow with me so you know it's it's it's a it's methodical it's uh the philosophy to it but
11:29once you once you continue to to grow the business you'll learn being authentic it helps with that as
11:34well i mean the fact that you have been able it's really been 13 years now that i think about
11:38a
11:38year because you were one of the originators like vine the social media era like you king batch all the
11:42like y'all came up in a crowd and then the fact that you were able to like you said
11:45continue to do stand
11:46up because a lot of the times you know it's difficult to transfer over from from the social media to
11:51actually stand up and then also being able to do improv with things like wilding out and all that
11:54good stuff it's a lot uh but i say we're going to get into 404 day because that's next weekend
11:58straight from the a you got the song that you had going on what's your plans 404 day what's going

12:02in the city i'm working i'm being i'm gonna be i'm gonna be on tour so i want everybody to
12:06be safe
12:07for 404 day and having their business i'm gonna be gone you dig what i'm saying i'm gonna have to

12:12business let me know i need to go because i'm being safe i'm gonna be on we don't want to

12:17what i'm saying that's what i'm gonna be doing so y'all make sure y'all get them tickets and

12:20that thing ah yeah city's back to back it's been crazy the fact that you've been able to uh
12:26do this multiple times like you said pretty much every year when it comes to different comedy shows
12:29and different tours you've been able to sell it out uh is there anything else that you want to
12:33leave the people with before we come to the show this saturday because uh i'm bringing uh 102 jams
12:37we got six home girls going and we we making sure that all our winners and listeners are going to
12:42have a
12:42good time what can they expect from the show man one thing about it's going to be an experience that

12:50to bring their a game so we want to make sure that everybody coming get ready to laugh get your
