00:00In the meantime, the Palace welcomed private companies' proposals for work-from-home arrangements,
00:05calling them a big help in conserving energy amid rising fuel costs.
00:10Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said such initiatives are voluntary and will not be mandated by the government.
00:17The Department of Labor and Employment, or DOLE, noted that flexible work setups,
00:22including compressed work weeks, or WFH, could ease operational costs while supporting workers' welfare.
00:29Castro also assured the public that the government is taking proactive steps to prevent power shortages
00:35and mitigate the impact of the Middle East crisis on energy supply.
