00:00The campaign is definitely like playing through a summer blockbuster
00:04that is accessible to anybody coming in.
00:09Black Ops 6 follows the events of both Cold War
00:13and then the 1980s part of Black Ops 2.
00:17The story takes place in 1991.
00:19Frank Woods had been on a mission in Panama that had gone south
00:22because there was apparently a mole within the CIA that betrayed them.
00:26Jason Hudson got killed, Alex Mason was killed.
00:29I was his hand, unintentionally.
00:32So what we're dealing with is some of the aftermath of those events.
00:35Our major returning characters are Frank Woods.
00:38He's a man of action, but he's not able to actually get out in the feeling.
00:42We also have Russell Adler.
00:44No one quite understands his motivations, so he's difficult to trust.
00:48As far as new characters, we have Troy Marshall brings leadership
00:52and then Savati Dumas, she's the master of disguise.
00:56And Felix Neumann is a tech genius.
00:59Their arcs are very, like, I don't know who to trust.
01:03I don't necessarily trust anybody in this room,
01:05but we know that we have, like, a similar goal.
01:08When we're starting to think of a campaign, we first start with our era.
01:11So we knew we wanted to touch on the Gulf War.
01:14A little hit, Kuwait, Iraq, Washington, D.C., Soviet Union.
01:18And then from there, we fill in the gaps with, you know,
01:22what are just cool locations that we want to do that are fun,
01:25provide big experiences, big moments, and really fit the characters in the story.
01:29Call of Duty has many landmarks, either existing or fictional one,
01:34that is heavily related with real life, real war, real events.
01:38The sheer variety in the game is pretty spectacular
01:41in that there's a lot of space to explore.
01:44The player can do it in any order they want.
01:46We're allowing different strategies in these spaces.
01:49You'll find that your buddy played it differently
01:52and they got a whole different result
01:53or that something happened to them that didn't happen to you.
01:55So there's a lot of replayability.
01:56The safe house is a place to go in between missions.
02:01It gives the player a chance to explore.
02:03It's where you can really see these characters
02:06and feel who they are and what they're going through.
02:10There is also upgrade stations.
02:12So the player can upgrade themselves
02:15with improved equipment, improved abilities.
02:18The safe house will grow as the player progresses through the game.
02:22The set dress will change, the visuals will change,
02:24and you'll notice different things that weren't there before.
02:27So the player is playing a CIA operative named William Calderon.
02:31He goes by Case.
02:32Throughout the campaign, you'll be playing as Case,
02:34but there are other opportunities and other missions
02:36where you will play as other members of the team.
02:38And under the radar, you're playing as Sev,
02:40and she gets her own uniform and is disguised as a person
02:43who's working the base.
02:44We're hammering home to the player,
02:45this is a different character you're playing as.
02:47And so prototyping a mechanic around her,
02:49having tightened keen eye senses,
02:51integrating that into the flow of the mission,
02:53worked really well.
02:54I think my favorite part is being high rollers.
02:57You're going to go in the pretend you are one of the customers
03:01and break into the underground vault and get that cash out.
03:06My favorite mission is Emergence.
03:09It's a classic Black Ops mind-twisting,
03:13don't really know what's going on, sort of vibe to it.
03:17And I think players are really, really going to enjoy it.
03:19Yeah, we put a lot of love into this game.
03:20A lot of people have worked hard on it
03:22and were super excited with how it turned out.
03:25I can't wait for people to play it this far.
