00:47We're treating Terminus as a living world, which are just different ways to bring the world to life.
00:52Living world is scripted encounters that we've placed in the map to add to ambience.
00:56We have these tubes that have zombies inside of them.
00:59And when the player walks by them, it'll trigger the escape sequence for them.
01:04It'll be very scary and shocking.
01:06Give that feeling of, wow, this is a world that's existed prior to the player coming in.
01:10Zombies have been attacking everything, everywhere.
01:12So as you move into these spaces, we're really telling that story.
01:15Prison guards are still dying around you.
01:17You would encounter maybe a guard being eaten alive by a couple zombies and they see you and come and
01:22attack you.
01:22The zombies, they're going to range from scientists to security, experiments.
01:27Every time you enter a new space, you don't know exactly what to expect.
01:30A zombie head pops out as a vermin and then it eventually gestates and then becomes a parasite.
01:35The tentacle trap is, that's just an awesome trap.
01:38The tentacle trap?
01:39Oh.
01:40Yeah.
01:41They're placed over doorways.
01:42It drops down and eats up all the zombies that pass through.
01:45It's a beast of a main quest.
01:47You know, it'll use the ocean, it'll use the islands, it'll use every part of the map proper.
01:52It's one of the bigger maps we've created.
01:53We wanted you to really, like, think about how you're moving through this space.
01:57We never had a drivable vehicle.
01:59You can go drive a boat anywhere on the entire map.
02:02All that space out there that I thought was just the environment, that feeling of, like, I can go anywhere.
02:07It's, like, so exciting.
02:08In true zombies fashion, you're never safe anywhere for very long.
02:12A little bit of a foreshadow to something bigger that you might encounter.
