00:01If you enjoy side-scrolling action combat with challenging platform puzzling and gorgeous art style and presentation, get ready, Blasphemous
00:092 is all that and more.
00:11The Team 17 sequel might feel somewhat too familiar to its predecessor at times, but it's so fun that it
00:18matters very little.
00:19According to DualShockers, Blasphemous 2 is visually stunning for sure,
00:24and it remains one of the purest games in the center of the Venn diagram between Dark Souls and Castlevania.
00:30The once enigmatic thrust of the first game isn't quite there anymore,
00:34nor is the horrifying wow factor of certain parts of the original, in particular the bosses.
00:40But IGN reports hacking and slashing your way through discomforting monsters,
00:45upgrading your character's weapons, health, and magic meters,
00:48while collecting various passive buffs and spells, make for a fantastic climb to unparalleled power.
00:55This game is not for the faint of heart.
00:58It might be the grossest game you've ever played.
01:00In Blasphemous 2, you're subject to a lot of loose, detached body parts, torn skin, bodily fluids, and all kinds
01:07of lewd ideas.
01:08But that's part of the magic.
01:10Rated PEGI 16, Blasphemous 2 comes out August 24th on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
