00:01Could Egypt be hosting peace negotiations between the US and Iran?

00:06This is the proposal of Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelhati,

00:11who held a press conference on the war on Wednesday.

00:14Offering Egypt support, Abdelhati urged a diplomatic end to the conflict.

00:20And we believe here in Egypt, we believe in Pakistan and in Turkey that those differences are bridgeable.

00:31And we can reach compromise and, of course, we can end this war based on a win-win situation, not

00:43a zero summit.

00:44And we hope that this meeting will take place soon, in the near future,

00:50because this could be the last opportunity to de-escalate and to avoid full-fledged escalation in the region.

01:03On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump offered a 15-point peace plan and cease-fire proposal to Iran.

01:10Iran has for now rejected the proposal, saying that it would end the war when its own conditions are met.
