00:36In July of 2025, a jury found Combs guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in
00:42prostitution for his now infamous freak-off sex parties that tarnished his public reputation.
00:48However, the 56-year-old music mogul was found not guilty on more serious charges of sex trafficking
00:54and racketeering conspiracy, aka Rico. Nine months later, Usher defended his incarcerated
01:00pal. He said, not saying that every man is perfect and doesn't have flaws, while also
01:06adding that he can't ignore the valuable contributions that Combs has made to hip-hop and for black
01:11entrepreneurs. He also referred to Combs as a really, really hard teacher. Usher and Diddy
01:17go way back after L.A. re-discovered the nice and slow singer as a teenager in Atlanta. Usher
01:24was sent to live with Diddy in New York City, a controversial period of time known as the
01:28Puffy Flavor Camp. He was just 13 or 14. In 2016, Usher played coy when Howard Stern asked
01:36him if he witnessed, quote, orgies nonstop.
01:39Hey, it was curious. I got a chance to see some things.
01:41Yeah, but you were 13. What were you seeing?
01:43I went there to see the lifestyle.
01:44Right.
01:44And I saw it, and it was, and it was, but I don't know if I could indulge and understand
01:49what I was even looking at. It was, it was pretty wild.
01:51The two stayed close over the decades. Here they are embracing in 2020 at a pre-Grammy's
01:56gala honoring Combs. And in this new interview, Usher told Forbes,
02:01There are trials and tribulations that come with the pressures of success and power, but
02:05what we choose to do with it is what I hope that you see with me and hopefully other people
02:10that I'm involved with. Combs is serving a 50-month sentence at a prison in Fort Dix,
02:15New Jersey. Earlier this month, Page Six exclusively reported that his prison release date was pushed
02:20up from June 4th, 2028 to April 25th, 2028.
