00:00When you come to season two,
00:03you get a chance to see the best
00:07and worst in people.
00:11And that in each one of us,
00:14the potentiality for either exists.
00:22In season two, the writers want you to feel uneasy,
00:27but still curious about these characters.
00:32We got some competing things happening inside
00:35and outside of the bunker as people are trying to survive.
00:41Now the two worlds are about to collide.
00:45Sinatraa has to work very hard
00:47to find herself back in control.
00:49She seems to rely on people who you might not trust.
00:52I think Sinatraa and Jane have a really interesting relationship.
00:55The ultimate game of cat and mouse.
00:57It was really fun to play.
00:59Please know that I did what I had to do to keep you clean.
01:02I didn't have a lot of good options.
01:04Well, then I thank you.
01:07We knew how people were surviving inside the bunker.
01:10We have Sinatraa with her billions and billions of dollars.
01:14Now we have to see,
01:15how do people deal with this situation
01:17that don't have resources?
01:19I think a theme that the show sets out with
01:21is what would you do for your family?
01:23Would you kill someone to protect your community?
01:29If you could describe Xavier in three words,
01:31what would they be?
01:32Badass mother...
01:34This has been a season of where
01:36Xavier doesn't talk a whole bunch,
01:38but when he goes into action...
01:43You're constantly giving the audience these big moments.
01:46It only makes people lean in harder.
01:51I'm gonna create a distraction.
01:53What kind of distraction?
01:55A bomb.
01:58I think Dan wanted to paint a picture of a world
02:00that wasn't so diabolical and evil,
02:04but it was sparse,
02:05and people were reticent to reach out
02:08and connect with one another,
02:09because when it becomes tribal,
02:12there's always an enemy.
02:14When people are reaching out to each other as people,
02:16the goodness kind of comes through at the end of the day,
02:19and that will help them survive.
02:21Survival means nothing without humanity.
02:24We're good people around here, doing our best.
02:27We don't want any problems.
02:28If we can find a way to be protective,
02:31but be open to people
02:33who may seemingly be different than us,
02:38that's beautiful.
