00:03How is the country using its diplomatic relationships to act as a back channel between the U.S. and Iran?
00:11Well, as you mentioned, all eyes on Islamabad to play this critical role.
00:18Islamabad is very much well placed at the moment because of its geography.
00:24It has a border with Iran, 900 kilometers.
00:27It has a balanced relationship with the Trump administration, both in terms of diplomatic relations and in terms of military
00:35relations.
00:37As you know, Pakistan's Field Marshal General Asim Munir was referred to as his favorite Field Marshal by President Trump.
00:46Then on the other side of the equation, Pakistan enjoys a very close relationship with the GCC countries,
00:53particularly with Saudi Arabia, where it has a joint defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan's leadership,
01:02both Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and General Asim Munir enjoys a very close relationship with his royal highness,
01:09Mohammed bin Suleiman.
01:11And on the other hand, the timing is very important.
01:14And the usual mediators like Qatar and UAE are facing the Iranian aggression at the moment.
01:21So this is why Pakistan's venue, Pakistan's role and the timing is very critical that Pakistan has offered to facilitate
