00:00Freddie, Pakistan has long accused Afghanistan of cross-border attacks.
00:06What prompted this later strike?
00:09Well, it's a retaliation for a terrorist attack that killed three officials in Karachi, I believe.
00:16And that is always the way with these Pakistan border disputes,
00:22whether it's with Afghanistan or sometimes with India.
00:26Pakistan claims an incursion. They strike back. They strike back very hard.
00:30And then the Taliban or Afghanistan, in this case, will likely initiate a counter retaliation.
00:38And the great danger is that things could escalate from there.
00:41But this is another I mean, similar to a lot of conflicts we covered from Gaza to Iran and so
00:46on.
00:46There are ceasefires in place, but they are fractious and they are broken quite regularly.
00:53The two sides don't like each other. There are other regional factors at play.
00:57There's India. Pakistan has a very difficult relationship with India.
01:01Pakistan accuses India of working with the Taliban to undermine and cause security problems for Pakistan.
01:08It's another tinderbox of regional conflict that is, of course, linked to Iran, too.
01:15But don't forget, Pakistan shares a large border with Iran.
01:18It's it's it's a regional, you know, that anything could blow up at the moment in Pakistan.
01:24It's very dangerous situation. Let's hope that peace results.
01:29I love you.Views
01:29may be. See you
