00:00Your heart goes out to Billy Donovan who lost his father, his mother-in-law, and then
00:06endured the amputation of his mother's leg.
00:09And that was a very difficult month for him, not to mention what he's dealing with professionally.
00:14So one could understand why he has been through the ringer emotionally
00:19and he might be inclined to look at either other challenges or walking away.
00:25I do know this, in talking to people who would be in a position to know,
00:30this offseason ahead is going to be a critical one and it is significant for the Bulls.
00:36Changes are being considered.
00:38And changes are being considered at the highest level.
00:41And unless you're Michael Reinsdorf or Jerry Reinsdorf,
00:45I'm not sure you're in a position to know what would come next.
00:49And beyond that, a lot of it will be informed speculation, educated guesses.
00:55And I would be no different.
00:57But if I were to make an educated guess, I would think that they're considering moving on in some way,
01:06making a change.
01:06You can't embrace the status quo after a season like this, after a tenure like this.
01:12I don't know if that means that Arturis Karnaschovas is gone or Mark Eversley is gone
01:16or Billy Donovan stays or goes.
01:18I would consider, if it were me, one of the things on the table might be Billy Donovan staying in
01:24the organization with a different role.
01:26I might consider the Brad Stevens move.
01:28Move him upstairs.
01:30Mike Malone is out there.
01:31He's the most qualified maybe head coach available.
01:35He has a history with Donovan.
01:37He's got a history with AK.
01:39He's an incredible guy.
01:41You have to give stars a reason to come to Chicago.
01:44You've got to give free agents something that appeals to them beyond Josh Giddey and Montez Buzelos with all due
01:50respect.
01:51Those are the only two players on this roster that might be worth investing in, building around.
01:57There are all kinds of possibilities being considered.
02:01It would be naive to think otherwise.
02:04This is a team that has underachieved.
02:06And this is an organization that is stagnant.
02:09They need changes.
02:10They're considering them.
02:11And the offseason is going to be a significant one.
