00:14the medium is coming to PlayStation 5.
00:16On top of the tense atmosphere,
00:18dark story and dual reality gameplay,
00:20we're spicing up the game
00:22with some dual sense features.
00:24Today, we want to show you
00:26how PlayStation's next-gen controller
00:27will help you get even more immersed
00:30into the mystery of the Neva Hotel.
00:37You play as Mariana,
00:40a medium possessing unique psychic abilities.
00:42One of them is the Spirit Blast,
00:45a powerful discharge of spiritual energy.
00:48To create a Spirit Blast,
00:50you first need to build up that energy.
00:53And on the PlayStation 5,
00:54the longer you charge it,
00:56the less resistance you'll feel
00:57on the trigger.
00:59That works.
01:03To protect yourself
01:04against the threats of the Spirit World,
01:06you can use the energy to create
01:08a Spirit Shield.
01:09Raise the shield when a swarm of moths
01:11attacks and, thanks to the
01:13haptic feedback, you'll be able to feel
01:15dozens of creatures hitting the barrier
01:18from all directions.
01:20However, the Spirit World hides
01:22much more dangerous things than moths.
01:26Things even a medium as powerful as Marianne
01:29cannot destroy.
01:31The only solution is to avoid detection.
01:34And to that end,
01:35you can even hold your breath.
01:37As you try your best not to breathe,
01:41the strength and frequency of haptic feedback
01:44will tell you how much longer before Marianne
01:46is going to run out of breath.
01:54During your investigation at the Neva Hotel,
01:57you'll come across so-called Echoes.
01:59They are shreds of past events
02:01engraved in certain objects.
02:04To find Echoes,
02:05you'll need to carefully inspect objects.
02:08You can do this traditionally
02:10with the analogue stick,
02:12or use the DualSense touchpad
02:13for a more tactile experience.
02:17Likewise,
02:18when you investigate a location searching for clues,
02:20you can look around using
02:22the motion controls instead of the stick,
02:24if that's what you find more into.
02:31When exploring the two worlds,
02:33you'll encounter obstacles
02:34such as chains or skin-like barriers.
02:36as you cut through them
02:38with the bolt cutters or the razor,
02:40the sounds will come directly from the tool
02:42in your hands,
02:44which is the game pattern.
02:47Last but not least,
02:48the light bar imitates Marianne's flashlight.
02:51In the game,
02:52the light starts flickering whenever a monster is nearby,
02:55and we're recreating that same effect
02:57for the controller.
