00:19Allow me to guide you through your first two nights in Terraria.
00:23So you've just created a character and selected the size of your world.
00:27Now you have been dropped into a land of endless adventure.
00:32Get a feel for moving around the world and start cutting down some trees with your basic axe.
00:37Don't waste time on those small trees. Aim for the big guys.
00:41Take that wood you've been collecting and build your first home.
00:45The extra wood can be used to craft a workbench.
00:49Congratulations! Thousands of new possibilities have just opened up to you.
00:54Let's go hunt down some of those slimes.
00:56Take their gel and combine it with wood.
01:02Torches! Now we can delve underground.
01:05Try mining for basic resources like ore, cobwebs, gold and gems.
01:10Keep an eye out for treasure chests along the way.
01:13These contain amazing gear upgrades and other valuable supplies.
01:17And don't forget to take that chest with you.
01:19You can use it for storage back home.
01:24Keep finding these to raise your health all the way to 400.
01:30You'll quickly learn that these lands are dangerous and full of enemies.
01:34Oh, and it gets even worse at night time.
01:38Ah, you died. Don't worry. You'll respawn with everything you had minus a handful of coins.
01:45Let's place that chest.
01:47Now you can put all of your loot and coins in there for safekeeping.
01:53This base is looking rather bland.
01:56Maybe it's time for some home improvements.
01:58Make your house at least eight blocks high and eight blocks wide.
02:02Craft doors, a table, a wooden chair.
02:05Fill in the back walls and create a light source.
02:07Oh, look. The guy who's been snooping around has moved in.
02:11This is the guide.
02:13He is a great resource along your journey.
02:15Full of tips, advice on where to go next, oh, and crafting recipes.
02:20Seriously, just show him any material and he can share all of the possible items you can make.
02:26Build more rooms in the house and attract useful allies.
02:30Two that you should encounter early on are the nurse and merchant.
02:35Don't mind the zombies beating on your doors.
02:38You should be safe.
02:39But feeling brave?
02:41Venture into the night and collect fallen stars to increase your mana.
02:46Remember to deposit your coins before you leave.
02:49There is a pretty good chance you won't make it.
02:52Let's wrap it up for the day.
02:54Take 35 cobwebs, combine them into five silk while standing near a loom.
02:59Combine the five silk with 15 wood near a sawmill to craft a bed.
03:04Once the bed is placed, click on it to make your new spawn point.
03:11Rise and shine. It's time to get serious.
03:15If you have enough ore from your day one adventures, craft some armor.
03:20If not, you'll want to get back to mining.
03:26Make sure you always have at least one good weapon, a pickaxe, recall potions and some healing items with you.
03:33Ready for an adventure?
03:35Let's go and find the snow biome.
03:38You'll always find the dungeon and snow biomes on the same side of the world.
03:42And they are always on the opposite side of the jungle biome.
03:46Head underground and find more life crystals.
03:49In the snow biome, you'll also be able to find interesting items such as the ice mirror, blizzard in a
03:56bottle and the ice blade.
03:58That ice blade will come in handy really soon.
04:01Go and drop off your loot.
04:03If you found any explosives, have space in your house and the merchant has already moved in,
04:09then the Demolitionist NPC will move into your home and offer to sell you additional explosives.
04:15I'd suggest buying some dynamite or bombs.
04:19Oh look, more life crystals.
04:22Say you are getting pretty close to 200 hit points.
04:25That means that Terraria's first boss will be coming to test you soon.
04:30Let's get prepared.
04:31Head back to base. Using that ice mirror will do the trick.
04:35And then pick a nice spot out away from your main housing to start building your first boss arena.
04:41For the first boss, a few layers of wood platforms will suffice.
04:45Just make sure you can easily reach each level with a single jump.
04:49Maybe toss down a campfire or two and you are all set for your first boss challenge.

04:55An ominous presence is watching you.
04:58The time has come to face the dreaded Eye of Cthulhu.
05:02Pick up your best weapons, ideally a ranged weapon such as a boomerang or bow and arrows,
05:07and head to your arena to await this deadly foe.
05:13That's it! Keep moving and firing, using your arena to stay away from the Eye's deadly attacks.
05:20Watch out for its second attack phase.
05:29Pheew! You did it!
05:31Collect the loot dropped by the Eye, which should include a handful of Demonite,
05:36a powerful ore for crafting Shadow Gear,
05:38and, if you are lucky, maybe even a trophy or mask to show off your accomplishment.
05:44So, you have come a long way in a couple of short but exciting days.
