00:01Rated T for Team
00:32I've already shown you what command points are and how they're captured, but there's more to it than that.
00:37In the Domination Mode, you can also fortify these command points to make them harder for the enemy to capture.
00:44When you've captured a command point, like this one here, all you have to do is put any number of
00:49units within one of the circles.
00:53The fortification starts at once, but it takes some time to finish.
00:58This all depends on the number of units you have within the circle. The more units, the faster it goes.
01:04So let's speed things up a bit.
01:07When the first fortification is built, a second one is on its way.
01:11All in all, you can fortify each circle with three different fortifications that are all specialized for certain tasks.
01:18There's a machine gun bunker, an anti-tank bunker, and an anti-aircraft gun.
01:23A completely fortified command point can be quite vicious against enemy units.
01:29Fortifications are good for two things. Firstly, they can inflict damage on nearby enemies.
01:33When in need, you can lure enemy units within the fortification's range to enhance the odds a bit.
01:41They also make the command points harder to capture. An unfortified command point is easily captured by the enemy.
01:48Basically, they just have to put a single unit within any of the circles, and it's lost.
01:53But if it's fortified, they'd have to destroy all of the fortifications before a capture could even commence.
02:02But not all units can capture command points. Air units are limited in that regard, which brings me to one
02:09of the most important aspects of World in Conflict. Teamwork.
02:15As a player, you're part of a team of other players who all play their own unique roles.
02:21Each role is specialized, and everyone's power is limited. In most cases, this means that you have to cooperate to
02:27win a match.
02:29Sometimes it might seem like you're overpowered, but with teamwork, you can get through a lot more than you think.
02:34For instance, let's say you attack with a group of tanks, and the enemy counterattacks with helicopters.
02:40You could easily lose every single one of your tanks in a matter of seconds.
02:45But let's say you had a teammate with helicopters or anti-air vehicles. Things could turn out quite different.
03:05You also have to remember that the maps are quite big, and that you can't hold all positions at once.
03:11This makes teamwork and communication essential. World in Conflict features a number of tools that can help players communicate.
03:19You have the request menu, where you can send instant messages to your teammates, asking for backup or tactical aid
03:25and so on.
03:28There's the voice over IP feature, where players can use microphones and headsets to communicate.
03:32Can you take the anti-tank fortification up in the firebase?
03:40As soon as my special ability is ready.
03:44And, of course, the regular text chat. A team that uses all these features well, is most often a team
03:50that wins.
03:53Nice.
04:00And that's how you use fortifications and teamwork in World in Conflict.
04:23Bye.
