00:02This area's been the heartbeat and the heartbeat of our rights movement.
00:07We stand here today as the only state in the country that has land rights.
00:11We've not received adequate recompense for New South Wales.
00:15We didn't receive really a razu for the freehold land, for the castoral lands, industrial lands.
00:22Trillions of dollars worth of value and we've received thereabouts $265 million
00:28in payment by the state.
00:30That is an appalling underpayment.
00:33But at the end of the day, we should be respected as human beings, as the first people.
00:37The act was meant to establish relationship.
00:40Well, I call on government to honour that relationship.
00:44Be a partner, dare we say, be honourable, be equitable and be fair.
00:49Speak to us, don't speak about us without us.
00:52And don't undermine us or take away our rights.
00:58Let's go on to that, with our government to share our talents.
