00:00Side by side, in solidarity, the Territory's four Aboriginal land councils march on Parliament House in Darwin.
00:10It's disgraceful, to be honest. We're seeing high numbers of incarcerations, the opportunities of economic development. It's a big failure on the government.
00:19From the Top End to Central Australia, the land councils representing all of the NT's remote communities denounce the policies of the country Liberal Party government.
00:29That spent its first year in power hardening bail laws and punishments for youth offenders, which overwhelmingly impact Aboriginal people.
00:39We've been ignored of our rights and human rights. It's appalling. Appalling behaviour of all ministers should be speaking to us.
00:47Under this CLP government, statistics show Aboriginal incarceration has risen by around 30%.
00:54The CLP always gets in on law and order. But us Aboriginal people, we're the most incarcerated people in the Northern Territory.
01:02We are stacking and racking and it's so disgusting that this government is not listening to our elders.
01:09That's where they're failing, so talk about closing gap, the gap's getting wider and wider.
01:14The land councils have also called for an audit into the billions in Commonwealth funding spent each year by the NT government,
01:22aimed at improving the lives of remote Aboriginal residents.
01:26All Aboriginal people want to see that happen. Where's our money being spent? Is it being spent wisely?
01:32In a statement, the NT's Aboriginal Affairs Minister pointed to examples of work happening with his government,
01:39the four land councils and remote communities generally, including developing the gas-rich Beetaloo Basin for future royalties.
01:47We are committed to continuing engagement and consultation with community members and wider stakeholders in regional and remote areas across the Territory, he said.
01:58A crowd that will take some convincing that this government is on their side.
02:03The U.S. will come to an agenda of our community for this program.
02:06End of the event will be 5-6-45 million in the region.
02:08The first program will be on the holiday program.
02:11Part of the year will have aöntarian response.
02:15What was the latest program for the dropdown?
02:19The third program will be on theai with the UN-1944 million in which we are going to be 1-12 million.
02:24The current program will be on the ground.
02:26The third program will be on the ground that will be on the next one.
02:29The next program will be on the ground, and that will be on the ground.
