00:00I mean, do you see the UK playing some sort of a role here in supporting the US military?
00:06Well, I see some role ultimately in the Strait of Hormuz for the simple reason
00:10that one of the standing objectives of the UK has always been to keep the sea lines of communication open,
00:16which is why, for example, they contribute to the mission in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mendeb,
00:22which again could be horizontal escalation in the future.
00:25And secondly, why there's a planning team which have gone forward to CENTCOM headquarters
00:29in Tampa to look at how you would unlock the problem of the Strait of Hormuz.
00:34It's worth saying that the five-day break that President Trump has placed upon hitting energy targets
00:41doesn't alter the central fact that the Strait of Hormuz is still closed
00:46due to the anti-denial and anti-access capabilities of Iran.
