00:05oh my god across the united states this is full dude buried in out of control hordes
00:16holy amen there are treasures you can't even begin to imagine oh my god i'm matt paxton and
00:25my team and i are cleaning out properties rain and poop looking for big scores one of a kind
00:32we found gold for our clients and ourselves and if my instincts are right i think this is legit
00:41everyone wins 82 000. all i can say is wow you give me my house back 110 000. i can't
00:49believe this is
00:49the same house 320 000. oh my gosh
01:03hey guys matt paxton here as you can tell um doing things a little differently this week i am on
01:09the
01:09quickest flight i can get to michigan we got a call from a client matt i need you to help
01:14me clean out
01:15my husband's barn and it's starting to cause a pretty significant drift between her and her
01:20husband normally with a horde this big of course i want my whole team there but it's a bit of
01:23a
01:24sensitive situation she's very frustrated with her husband and she needs her help like quickly
01:34i didn't know that was there i didn't know that was there there's four more trunks in that back
01:38honey i swear to god you have got so much hi i'm keith and this is my lovely white bag
01:45this is the bond
01:47yeah we got tons of stuff in containers when was the last time you were up in this area i
01:53have no bloody
01:54idea it's awesome honey so keith and beth they've got a 5 000 square foot barn filled with items from
02:03their families from the last four to five generations including all of their boxes from
02:09germany when they served overseas in the war and it is driving the wife nuts keith was in the air
02:16force
02:16for 22 years we had a much larger house in germany so we had 5 000 square feet of stuff
02:23thinking that it
02:24was going to fit in this old farmhouse and we were wrong so one thing i love about military families
02:30is
02:30they hold on to stuff man i love it we just find things that have sat there for sometimes 50
02:3560 70
02:37years all right this is the econo line i want it gone i do collect cars tractors down here i
02:44got an
02:45antique german wagon somewhere in there i've got all these old lawnmowers that i hate i can't get them
02:51out from the video what really caught my eye was he's got some cool vintage vehicles and tractors and
02:57look to be in pretty good shape i've got to get my eyes on them with that being said it's
03:01really
03:01going to come down to the condition of the vehicles and if they run or not and if they do
03:05we'll be able
03:05to sell them for a lot more money big ticket items that are in the barn is a lot of
03:10first edition books
03:11there's stacks of books we have about 40 posters saturday evening post posters that are in pristine
03:18condition they have old vintage possibly first edition books so if they're in good shape and they've
03:25been sitting there for 100 years that is a huge win for us more dog dishes in case we get
03:30another
03:31dog we're not getting another dog the barn is overwhelming so matt help me clean out my husband's
03:38barn i'm excited i really really hope i can make a deal with this family and i just got to
03:45get in the
03:45barn first to see what i see when a hoarder is married to a non-hoarder you're gonna have conflict
03:50one person wants to keep everything and the other person wants to get rid of everything it's always a
03:55very tricky situation hopefully they have enough valuables here to put some money in my pocket and
04:00keep keith out of the dog house in the barn i'm going to try to find the saturday evening post
04:05artwork
04:05the first edition books and i'm going to check out all the vehicles scattered across the property
04:13how are we doing howdy how are you good good to finally meet you guys in person let's go check
04:18it
04:18out take a look yeah let's see what we got all right wow yeah okay this is a barn how
04:25big is this
04:26barn i believe the barn is somewhere in the neighborhood of like 42 wide and 55 long okay so
04:34this is like two houses god this is a magnificent barn though my gosh yeah when you look past the
04:41things are phenomenal i would like to be comfortable walking in here yeah right now i'm never comfortable
04:47these shelves go two or three buckets deep what am i going to see what am i looking you're going
04:52to see
04:52anything from antique pottery to a huge collection of books and records and then you're going to find
04:5825 years or 30 years of my collection so y'all traveled all around the world absolutely we're getting
05:04into the cobweb area back that's all right all these boxes and things up here things we haven't
05:09looked in in at least 25 years it's pretty clear keith was hiding this hoarding from his wife in the
05:15barn there is a toy tractor here holy cow these old middle school lockers are phenomenal too but as time
05:21went on it just kept growing and growing and growing and now it's at a point where it can't be
05:26hidden
05:27and that's a huge problem for beth so i see tarps up high that means we're protecting everything below
05:33from something what are we protecting it from that okay all right that looks like one of my son's
05:40diapers i am getting hit with the smell yeah um and i do this every day so for me to
05:47really smell it
05:48either my uncle larry is visiting for christmas or you guys got a lot of poop in this barn yeah
05:55so all of
05:56these it's all bat guano thank goodness you guys put the tarps up yeah because it would have ruined all
06:01of this i mean the minute you walk into this barn you are overwhelmed with the smell of poop i'm
06:08afraid to ask this yeah what does downstairs look like holy cow dude all right what year is this that
06:17is a 64. not a whole heck of a lot made is this for sale it could be for the
06:25right price but matt i'll
06:26be honest it's it's my third child doesn't need a whole heck of a lot you know it does need
06:32some
06:33paint and it does need a little bit of body okay all right i dig that the plymouth fury pinnacle
06:40of
06:40speed and strength in the 1960s the plymouth fury wasn't just a family hauler it was a full-size slab
06:47of
06:48detroit muscle in fact it was the most commonly used vehicle in the early days of nascar racing
06:54the fury sport came with an optional 426 street wedge engine which was essentially chrysler's
07:00more affordable version of their now legendary hemi engine a pristine 1964 plymouth sport fury is valued
07:08at almost 130 000 i really hope we get this thing started haven't been started a long time okay if
07:18this
07:18thing runs is an automatic 20 grand or even more but if it doesn't run we'll be lucky to get
07:23half that
07:27this property has a ton of potential for profit however because of the dangers of the bat guano
07:33and the enclosed space i need to make sure i strike a good deal with beth and keith that makes
07:39it all
07:39worth it i got a bunch of little tractors over here yep tell me what's going on there they could
07:44they could go okay our cleanup's probably gonna be between like 10 and 15 000. okay right say we made
07:51between 40 and 50 000. my goals our profit would be around 30. i would go 50 50. yeah yeah
07:58let's do it
07:58done i'm gonna shake your hand quickly so you don't go back on that thank you thank you thank you
08:03do your
08:07magic
08:13it's day one of the clean out and now that my team is here we need to hit the ground
08:16running so i'm
08:17going to get them up to speed on what i found out on my initial scout of the property this
08:21is an
08:21old school barn you guys old school barn you've probably got a hundred plus plastic buckets in there
08:27and they served all over the world so we bought a lot of stuff shipped it back as they always
08:31did
08:31so there's a lot of cool stuff in here he had a good eye what are our big ticket items
08:35that we're
08:35hunting for we're looking for saturday evening post artwork first edition books and we need
08:40to sell that 64 plymouth fury but we won't know how much we can get for it until we see
08:45if it actually
08:46runs okay first we've got to clear out as much space as we can so kaylin and i can climb
08:52up into
08:52the rafters to get that back line thank you guys for being here good to see you yeah you can
08:59go put that
08:59up four we're gonna see if this is silver by some chance you got it yeah cool hit the brakes
09:07ain't no brakes on here ain't no brakes on this thing
09:12this can go out to sale oh what is this chuck wagon
09:20oh wow
09:21what is this it's a bunch of posters it looks like dude saturday evening post posters oh wow march uh
09:3330th 1940. this is a rockwell norman rockwell like his artwork is insanely expensive like up to millions
09:42of dollars for one of his original paintings these posters are not worth anywhere near that amount but
09:47we've got a whole bin of them yeah and depending on what's in here we could have some money okay
09:53obviously these aren't the original norman rockwell saturday evening post paintings but they're still
09:58fairly uncommon and very collectible they look like the posters that would get hung up in the newsstand
10:03to advertise the upcoming issues of the magazine sort of like what movie theaters do with movie posters
10:09today we need to keep these safe until we can really dig into what we've got here yeah let's see
10:15what
10:15else we can find we got a lot more to look through yeah it's all waterlogged what you got there
10:21i have
10:21no clue i will have to ask my husband oh nice sport fury
10:31i'm really hoping we can get this fury to run because if it does it'll make its values skyrocket
10:40so kaylin's meeting with some local mechanics to see if they can get this thing fired up
10:46holy my moly
10:51um seven or eight years ago okay and he's just had it back in the garage ever since
10:56that's one thing the injector pump isn't pumping fuel okay get a little bit of carbon buildup off of it
11:07it's right now all right let's see what happens now
11:16please fire up man we need some money if this thing will turn over it'll change our day let me
11:22know when
11:22go go come on i need you to start on up for me baby
11:35come on baby
11:39on the tour i fell in love with keith's 1964 plymouth fury if it runs we're going to make a
11:45ton of money
11:45and if it doesn't run i don't even know if we can sell it yeah you have to put a
11:49little more down the
11:50neck yeah there we go let me know when to go go
12:05still not getting any spark the coil or it could be dead
12:11oh there's your problem right there control module is is mounted i mean we filed the points and the
12:17points still didn't fire so it's got to be that okay this is exactly what i hope wouldn't happen
12:23looks like we're not going to be able to get the fury to run so that's going to limit our
12:27pool of
12:28potential buyers and it's going to lower the price that i can sell it for
12:36go to the right go to go to my right day two here in fight flake yesterday we got some
12:42bad news
12:42the pluma fury doesn't run and so far cleaning out the barn it's been slow going are these donate
12:49like all there's a whole bucket of nails you can either donate or throw it i mean i'm just
12:53saying donate and throw donate donate okay great we got the ford i kind of line it it hasn't been
13:01on
13:01the road in a while no so whenever the owner tells me they've driven it i realize it's probably
13:07been 10 years longer i mean i think we're realistic about what this is he wants four he wants four
13:13all right let's make a deal on that four grand cash four grand cash you the man thank you dude
13:17yeah
13:17you're welcome four grand is four grand but we're still a long way from our goal so we really need
13:22to dig in and find some treasures if we're going to make forty thousand dollars gotta search everything
13:27make sure there's nothing hidden in there babe ruth signs with the braves this is cool 1650
13:34dollars thank you man thank you
13:42why we gotta suit up for this man bat guano also known as bat poop now that chris and mike
13:49have
13:49made enough space in the barn it's time we do something about that bat poop do this yep let's go
13:54bro the only thing is bat guano is toxic to breathe in and you don't want it to touch your
13:59skin you okay
14:00yeah okay all right so that's why we're all suited up like we're on breaking bad we're going to
14:05collect as much of this bat guano as we can and clean up what we can't because even though this
14:10stuff
14:10is gross and smells even worse what most people don't know is it can be sold as fertilizer for good
14:16money that's gold baby guano better known as bat poop was just a strange word until the 90s when
14:23ace ventura made it unforgettable thanks to their insect and fruit heavy diet bats produce a natural
14:30super fertilizer today guano fetches around ten dollars per pound but collectors will pay big
14:36money for vintage sacks one cave-aged batch was listed online for eight thousand dollars all right
14:43all right let's get some poop oh there's a ton up here y'all are we ready for this no
14:51but come on all
14:52right okay here we go oh come on come on come on oh yeah i feel like it's getting in
15:01my mouth
15:03go to college kids you all right down there okay yeah i didn't dealt with a lot of poop but
15:10never
15:10bet poop this is a first for me you don't know how hard i just work came in you don't
15:15know man you
15:16wasn't down here to see what i was going through bro how much you think these work bro well that's
15:21that's ten pounds it's a hundred dollars a pound we got a thousand bites here two hundred dollars a
15:25pound we got two thousand dollars okay that's gold baby that is gold
15:35now that the barn in michigan is safer to hunt in and the crew can get back to picking
15:38another potential client has reached out to me who also is in a time crunch at their property
15:43so i'm headed out to royalston massachusetts to see what they're dealing with wow it doesn't look
15:49like it's been used oh my gosh you can believe the stuff in here hi i'm kathleen clark my uncle
15:55left
15:56me his home and all his assets there's so much we're doing this because of the financial burden there's
16:05mortgage on the house we have about six months of funds and my husband and i can't pay off the
16:11mortgage on the house time is of the essence here they need us to clean it out so they can
16:16sell it
16:17pick a room every room is cluttered santa claus's christmas collections from the pictures i've seen
16:23this house looks like it is filled with a lot of valuable items and i'm really excited about the
16:28christmas items they tend to sell well and tend to stay in really good shape there's old books coins and
16:34stamps a grandfather clock from the 1800s it's huge treasure hunt on paper this house looks perfect
16:42hopefully there'll be a big present for us under the tree the target items we're looking for are
16:47santa claus figurines and 1800s grandfather clock and vintage toys hey hey perspective good to see you
16:55thanks for being here good to see you man this place is incredible it has history it used to be
17:00a dairy
17:01farm it's beautiful absolutely beautiful yeah what's inside look like come help me find treasures
17:06let's do it y'all go ahead
17:10this was my grandmother's room so she lived here too oh yeah wow a lot of books the furniture is
17:17from
17:17probably the 20s that's incredible i'm just looking around until i can find lots of everything you can
17:23see he's traveled the world that bag and that clock are just magnificent this is uh was pete's room
17:29still filtering through things and we still have lots of coins and stamp collections up here
17:37he hit them all around the house that's good matt i want to show you what peter loved the most
17:45holy cow welcome to winter wonderland at peter's world i'm feeling a little uh claustrophobic oh how cute
17:57everywhere you look santa santa santa santa santa whoo if you think of the old haunted houses where
18:04the eyes stare at you wherever you go well the santas are looking at us she's got about a thousand
18:09santa clauses in this room and i'm really hoping there's a 1920s woodcutter santa in here they can go
18:15anywhere from a few thousand all the way up to ten thousand dollars i mean he just loved christmas he
18:21had a
18:21tree in every room if you can imagine i can come on matt we'll go in here whoo he did
18:28collect yes he did
18:30wow there it is 1800s grandfather clock and it's in great shape oh yeah yeah let's go back here
18:41wow holy man oh man you guys he's got everything in this room i've got civil war stuff i've got
18:49christmas i've got books my god yeah there's more so what do you think i think it's gonna be expensive
18:57that's what i think are you really okay to sell everything i have to we have a mortgage on this
19:04house that i inherited okay living in north carolina has made it rough on us to have to
19:09try and take care of this property and paying for electricity insurance mortgage payment all that
19:13you know we're just trying to sell to somebody who wants the property and can take care of it
19:17it's not that there's a lot of trash here it's just everything is small yes just that thinking about
19:23the hours to sell all this stuff it's probably about a twenty thousand dollar clean out i'm seeing
19:3040 to 50 000 in sales i'll do 40 60 in your favor what you think yeah final deal deal
19:39it's christmas eve
19:41i gotta go back and christmas finish the other house all right so we'll be back in a couple days
19:45and we will bang this out great all right thank you thank you thank you i cannot wait to get
19:51going
19:51in massachusetts but first we have to finish the job in michigan it's the final day and we still have
19:56a lot to clean out unfortunately our sales have been lacking i really need a big score to get us
20:03back on track and i've got my eyes on that 64 plymouth fury i think i've found someone who's going
20:09to jump at the chance to buy it all right so this is the beaut what do you think it
20:14needs some work
20:15that's for sure it definitely needs work yeah the floorboard's kind of rusty got some ice droppings in
20:21there what are you asking for it he wants 15 000 which i know is a little high it's an
20:28emotional
20:28price obviously right the best i can do is about 6 500. i think 65 is fair let me call
20:37in both of
20:38them and see what they think okay on the tour keith said this thing is his baby and he really
20:43doesn't
20:44want to part with it but beth wants it gone and we need every dollar we can get so i'm
20:49calling in both
20:50of them to hopefully make this deal go through guys this is phil hi phil hi phil how are you
20:55good
20:56glad to meet you it's time to make some thoughts some decisions here i've had a couple people come
21:00around the last three days and i'm not trying to be disrespectful but there's no one that's going to
21:04pay 15 for this except for you okay and the most realistic offer we've had is here all right he's
21:10offered us 6 500. most people think it's worth between six and eight but no one is near 15. so
21:19i think
21:19realistically 6 500 is a pretty good offer that's like half it's been sitting for how long
21:33our last day here in fife lake the barn is almost cleared out but we haven't gotten halfway to our
21:39goal
21:39in sales yet hopefully we can find some more treasures to make some more money and help beth and
21:44keith get back on the same page more records this is the latest one so far
21:53man i think i found the first edition what yeah what whitman and winston churchill okay let's
22:01look at let's first look at winston churchill copyright 1912 1913. this could be worth a ton of money
22:09chris let me see that book that's charles dickens yeah oh my gosh all right if this is the first
22:16edition dickens these books look promising but i'm going to need to get an expert out here to authenticate
22:22them most first editions are not authentic so we need to make sure before we sell them keep looking
22:28all right through all of this and over here too okay all right good job dude thank you very good
22:33job
22:35i think there's about 38 total posters and that's the norman rockwell that's i mean that's a sweet
22:42piece because it's norman rockwell it's just an iconic image iconic um illustrator so absolutely you
22:49show me the item i've got a guy saturday evening posts matt's my guy you know they made a lot
22:55of saturday
22:55evening post magazines they didn't make a lot of posters yeah posters are a great collectible because
23:01you know they just they don't last in my head i know there's some posters in here that are worth
23:06a couple hundred dollars a piece there's some in here that are worth five hundred dollars um and
23:12some that are worth 20 bucks yeah okay that's fair that's fair what would you like to pay for this
23:18collection for all of them i'd offer 1200 1200 bucks yeah okay um realistically i'd like to be a little
23:28bit more than that so where are you at i've got about 40 posters here some of them are worth
23:34a lot
23:35i'm at three thousand dollars you know i do estate sales for a living so i'm trying to get always
23:41as
23:42much as i can for the family as well so i understand where you're coming from um yeah i'd love
23:46to add
23:47them to my collection that's awesome appreciate it have a great one all right be good all right dude
23:52believe it or not this is about as locally grown as it gets oh holy cow yeah you smell it
24:00yeah that's
24:00uh it's about some good fresh squano there there are two more tubs of this that's about 40 pounds or
24:06a
24:06little more i cannot resell it because it is not usda approved okay but i would probably buy it for
24:13my wife's garden if we can come to a deal could you do 300 yeah i'll do three deal i'll
24:19take it
24:19300 bucks cash this is the only thing that doesn't smell like that poop at this house awesome all right
24:25thanks matt yeah you guys take care now all right paul we found what i'm hoping are authentic first
24:31edition books and i know you're the man who will know for sure yeah i can look at these right
24:36here
24:37and tell you right off these are these are the heritage press editions this was a book club that
24:41you could be a member of all right so we were already into mass printing yeah yep yep and this
24:46little guy right here this is a christmas carol but this is one of them when he went to the
24:50apothecary
24:51um you used to buy be able to buy books there i mean something like this if i was to
24:56retail this
24:56in my store i'd probably put 50 on it 50. okay so none of these are first editions no no
25:01uh in our store
25:03we sell things like that for a dollar because decorators come by and and people doing etsy love them
25:08to do craft work with okay so this is not what we needed to hear i was hoping to sell
25:15these books
25:15for thousands and unfortunately they're not worth the paper they're printed on
25:26all right here we go guys open your eyes come on in look at this oh my god i've never
25:35hated this
25:36way it's amazing i haven't been able to walk through here for years we got all the bat guano out
25:43that was
25:43a little harder than we thought it was so hard to come in here and see those tarps holy it's
25:49amazing
25:50you got space to do stuff over there it's all workable it's all usable this is just fantastic we
25:56can't thank you enough matt it's i i'm i'm just dumbfounded yesterday i was what 30 feet up yep
26:02questioning my decision to take on this barn
26:08i'm thrilled i'm just absolutely thrilled it's time to talk money absolutely let's go it now when
26:15i get really mad at him and he's down in the barn all the time i could say put your
26:18cot up you're
26:19staying in the barn i am going to put a couch down here just in case yeah he can have
26:23his own couch yeah
26:25which is often case in a lot of these jobs the target items maybe don't come out as much as
26:29we
26:29thought they would saturday evening post posters didn't sell for as much as we had hoped for and the
26:33first edition books turned out not to be first editions at all which put us in a hole but what
26:39really got us over the finish line was the plymouth fury it's been sitting for how long did you do
26:4675
26:46we got a deal all right oh my gosh thank god you sold the cars if you hadn't sold the
26:53cars we wouldn't

27:03your costs were low at 10 000 22 000 profits we agreed on a 50 50 split so that's eleven
27:10thousand
27:10dollars for each of us fantastic oh my god that's i think i'm going over there yeah that's that was
27:15my
27:15guess give it to the ball yes it's a load off of my shoulders like you can't imagine i believe
27:23that
27:24this is going to stay the way it is uh if it doesn't then uh i will be getting a
27:31divorce so
27:35thank you thank you for everything good job
27:38all right i'm gonna go find the guys we'll see you again thanks
27:43the team and i completed our mission in pife lake and now it's time to head back to massachusetts to
27:49take
27:49on the house filled with santas so the clients can sell their house and rid themselves of a burden
27:54of a second mortgage what are our big ticket items that we're hunting for i mean santa claus
27:59everywhere there's also a grandfather clock that looks promising uh and then a bunch i mean a bunch
28:06of old cast iron and tintype toys oh yeah that's awesome we got to stay focused and we got to
28:11clean
28:11because we really only have three days and this this is probably a five day clean out that was
28:15it we're going to go in and start sorting through the two big rooms upstairs mike caitlin and chris you
28:20guys head up there while i start hunting in the living room any questions no all right let's do it
28:26this is a tough one this house is big we got you know seven bedrooms four thousand square feet
28:33ten thousand plus items and they're all about that big make it some quilts
28:43okay all the true values technically these are vintage toy cars there's a difference between
28:49vintage toy cars and old cars these just look old hopefully there's more vintage toys hidden
28:54around this house somewhere i see this behind door number one what's this all right now i'm talking
29:11all right now i'm talking what's this
29:21about vintage toy trains it's not in bad shape either let's see what you got this is cool this is
29:30lionel that's the name you want to see maybe other than marks when you're talking about vintage toy
29:36trains these were really good toys back in the day it's not uncommon to find model trains but these are
29:44better than most of the trains we find pre-war trains are highly collectible because they're made of
29:49metal they're highly detailed and very realistic definitely got trash geez louise this is shaping up
29:55to be a whole set yeah which is great because we could sell individual cars or we could sell it
30:01all as
30:01a set these are pre-world war ii toy trains built before 1942 back when they made them out of
30:09steel and
30:09coated them with tin for durability when manufacturers switched from using metal to using plastic and die
30:15cast it sped up production cut costs and unfortunately lost some quality chris this is a great find that's
30:24what i do i know these trains are vintage they're toys and they're in good shape if we keep fighting
30:31more
30:32like this it's really going to help our bottom line oh there's blades
30:40you got money in there yep everywhere man like look at this now this is some good silver right here
30:47one ounce of silver is a little under 80 dollars on the market right now so that's a half an
30:52ounce
30:52see the difference oh yeah ounce so i mean that's not bad dude look at that i'm just gonna keep
30:58striking
30:58holy cow dude 14 karat gold this looks like a old shampoo bottle this looks like some vitamins but
31:07there's not vitamins in here i don't i'm not taking those vitamins yeah absolutely not
31:14whoa he had change everywhere man so this is 40 percent silver holy smokes the gold-plated coins
31:22and the mints aren't worth much but there's a bunch of good sterling silver here yeah we got to get
31:28this all properly appraised and find a buyer 2100 just these jars and that's not bad dude
31:38with the upstairs rooms bringing us some wins now it's time to focus on the vintage santa collection
31:44which is hopefully going to deliver us some presents in the form of big payouts
31:56this is the kind of thing that people walk right past and they don't really appreciate
32:11the value that could be sitting here and if we find the right christmas items they can sell for
32:17big money let's see this this anywhere between five to fifteen dollars okay yeah this guy right
32:25here shamrock santa by lennox what i'm really looking for in this christmas collection is vintage christmas
32:33late 1800s early 1900s items this one they range between 20 to 52 dollars that's great the good news is
32:43it's the name is the king ona standardolf regular designs basically the mall and i model his
32:48is that black
32:49k knees grass ones are one that around two years ago
32:51right now it's really the a mrs
32:53with all these
32:53more families
32:55anderry
32:58k
32:59k
33:12them
33:12Charles Dickens Village, man.
33:15What do villages?
33:16Oh, they sell, man.
33:17Pretty excited about all the trains, man.
33:18Yeah, dude, we found a ton of these O-Gage pre-war Lionel trains.
33:23I love when the boxes and everything are there.
33:24I love when it's complete.
33:25You know, you have multiple pieces.
33:27You have everything here.
33:29For everything you see, I won't be anywhere less than two grand.
33:32Yeah, I'm excited.
33:33I'll do that.
33:34All right, cool.
33:37Soon as Mike has a buyer over here, all these can go.
33:40Yeah.
33:40And then all this furniture, same thing.
33:42Do we got a book person coming?
33:44I think so.
33:46Gotta love it.
33:47A lot of the hoarders we deal with, they really don't trust banks.
33:50They will have money in the strangest places.
33:53And being that I've been doing this for so long,
33:55I know all the places they have money.
33:58Oh, 30 minutes later and I'm still going through books.
34:03Lorraine.
34:03Nice to meet you.
34:04Nice to meet you.
34:05We struck out finding any big ticket vintage Santa Clauses.
34:09But the items that we did find have some value.
34:13They also have a ton of other vintage Christmas items.
34:16So I'm going to take a chance and sell it all as one bulk lot.
34:20Have you ever seen a collection like this?
34:22No, no, not this large.
34:24A somewhat overwhelming collection.
34:26It is.
34:27Overwhelming is absolutely the right word.
34:29Just to be totally upfront, we are looking to work out a deal for everything.
34:33All of the Christmas items in one lot.
34:36I think there's about 1,000 holiday objects here in this room.
34:40I would really love to be about $10 a piece on these.
34:42So I'm at around $10,000.
34:45Well, to be honest, I think it's a little high.
34:49Okay.
34:49You know, I was thinking more in the lines of four.
34:52I mean, I'm willing to work with you a little bit, but you know,
34:55you're cutting me pretty low there.
34:57Do I think I could get 10 grand for all this vintage Christmas stuff?
35:01Yeah, probably, but it would take me a year to do it.
35:05She's here right now and she's clearly interested.
35:08So all I've got to do is close the deal.
35:11I'll tell you what, if you can do $8 a piece across the board,
35:14that would be $8,000.
35:16We can work this out.
35:25If you can do $8 a piece, that would be $8,000.
35:29We can work this out.
35:32Okay, that sounds fair to me.
35:34Awesome.
35:35Lorraine, thank you.
35:36Do you have a vehicle big enough for all of this?
35:38I do.
35:45It's our final day at the Santa House.
35:47There's only a few more rooms to hunt through and a lot to sell
35:51if we want to hit our goal of $40,000.
35:54One of these little bobbers.
35:55You see all those bobbers on the wall over there?
35:56I've been looking through books all day.
36:01Wait, hold up.
36:03Uh-oh.
36:04Hey, Matt.
36:05Bingo, Matt.
36:06Money, money, money.
36:08That's all 50s.
36:09At least $5,000.
36:11Chris somehow always finds money.
36:14It just follows him.
36:16That turned this into a good day.
36:19Beautiful clock.
36:19Oh, man, is it ever.
36:21This clock is from late 1700s.
36:24It's not a reproduction.
36:25They're made to last, clocks like this.
36:27This clock will outlive me, definitely.
36:29It looks like you took very good care of it.
36:32I actually have some paperwork.
36:33Oh, fantastic.
36:35Yeah.
36:35A lot of people who have antique clocks have reproductions.
36:38But Kathy and Uncle Peter have actual proof
36:41that this clock was made in England in the late 1700s.
36:45And that's a huge difference in value.
36:47It's from 1790, made in England,
36:49and then it was imported by the Poore family.
36:52Wonderful.
36:52And so I would love to get $4,500 for this.
36:56Um, all right.
36:58That sounds good.
36:59Sounds like a deal to me.
37:00Go get your car, and then we'll start loading you up.
37:06Well, Seth, I appreciate you coming down, man.
37:08Of course.
37:09I kind of need help figuring what I got,
37:11and then let me know if you want any of it.
37:13Yeah, the solid silver is definitely where the good money is.
37:16You got your gold coins.
37:19That's 4,000 an ounce now, so that's $1,000.
37:21You get the silver pennies, so that's just kind of neat
37:25because of when they were using all the copper.
37:27Yeah, they were using the copper for bullets.
37:28Yeah.
37:29Yeah.
37:29So.
37:30All right.
37:30So obviously, we're in the business of selling this stuff.
37:32Yep.
37:33So what do you think, man?
37:37I would do $10,000.
37:40Could you do $15,000?
37:44That's going to hurt.
37:46That's going to be tough.
37:51Let's get this room empty.
37:53One, two, three.
37:54Straighten it up.
37:55You can just straighten it up first.
38:00A lot of work this week.
38:01A lot of work.
38:02A lot of work.
38:03More work than we typically do in three days.
38:05Oh, I can imagine.
38:06I know.
38:07You know what?
38:07Let's just go see it.
38:08Okay.
38:08We got a lot to do.
38:09I'm going to let you guys start.
38:10Okay.
38:11All right.
38:12Here we go.
38:13Wow.
38:14No books.
38:15No books.
38:16Oh, my gosh.
38:18Look at all this space.
38:21Unreal.
38:22I can't stop looking at the floors.
38:24These are 235-year-old.
38:28Original.
38:29Panels.
38:30They're just amazing.
38:32Oh, my gosh.
38:33You can hear an echo.
38:35Echo, echo, echo.
38:36Oh, my gosh.
38:37Look at this.
38:38This is amazing.
38:39You told me one of the goals was to make this house so you could sell it.
38:43Yes.
38:43Now that the house is empty, you could see the wallpaper.
38:48You could see the beautiful floors.
38:50And I think you can see the great bones, the beauty.
38:53I mean, it's just amazing.
38:55I cannot believe what's been done in this short amount of time.
38:59Took it.
39:00It was like, bang.
39:01Yeah, really?
39:01Thank you very much.
39:03Oh, my God.
39:05Man, this is crazy.
39:06Now, I would call this the Santa room.
39:09No.
39:09Not at all.
39:10There's no more Santas.
39:11Okay.
39:11Wow.
39:11You're standing right now where there were like 1,000 Santa Clauses.
39:15Oh, yeah.
39:17What are you feeling?
39:18What's making you?
39:19I mean, it's so many family, happy family memories.
39:22Come on.
39:23It looks like a skating rink.
39:24Oh, my God.
39:26I'm flabbergasted.
39:27I have never seen this room.
39:29Come on.
39:29Walk around it.
39:30Like this.
39:31Everything he loved was in this room.
39:33But to see how beautiful, you know, it's just amazing.
39:38A lot of work in here.
39:40Lots of work.
39:41This house is finally in a state where you can list it and sell it.
39:44You don't need to worry about this home draining your savings any longer.
39:48I hope so.
39:49All right.
39:50Let's do the math.
39:50Let's see how we did.
39:51Clean out was expensive.
39:53Yes.
39:53It was $20,000.
39:55Yes.
39:55Total sales.
39:56We sold the grandfather clock, all the Santas and the Christmas decorations,
40:00the Lionel trains, the vintage toys.
40:03We even found $5,000 hidden in a book.
40:07And you mentioned there would be some coins hidden around.
40:09And man, you were right.
40:11How about $15,000?
40:12Sounds great.
40:12All right.
40:13Thanks doing business with you, man.
40:14We found and sold his entire collection for $15,000.
40:18Wow.
40:19You name it, we sold it.
40:21Grand total, $47,000.
40:26You've got to begin me.
40:27Cost was $20,000.
40:29Yeah.
40:29So, $27,000 profit.
40:32We split it 60-40.
40:34That's $10,800 for me.
40:36That's $16,200 for you.
40:40No way.
40:41That is nuts.
40:43Yeah.
40:43A lot of hundreds in there.
40:44Unreal.
40:45What are you feeling?
40:47Relief.
40:49And I know what the next steps are.
40:51I think you can sell this house this week.
40:52Okay.
40:53I really believe that.
40:54I'm going to get out of here.
40:55You do.
40:56I appreciate you guys.
40:57You guys do a great job.
40:58Thank you, thank you, thank you so much.
40:59It was a joy.
41:00I'll let you guys stay here and enjoy this empty space.
41:03All right.
41:04Thank you, thank you.
41:06What a transformation.
41:07Oh, my Lord.
41:08Matt, what you do for other human beings on this earth,
41:12it is truly a remarkable experience.
41:15I love my job.
41:16I love it every week.
41:17Sometimes I make a lot of money.
41:18Sometimes I don't.
41:19This week started off pretty rough.
41:21But at the end of the day, we're here to help people and make money.
41:25We did both.
41:26I can check those boxes and I can get in the car and go to the next one.
