00:00I think one of the biggest dreams of mine as a kid was to work in video games.
00:05The biggest dream was to be a wrestler, but that didn't work out clearly.
00:14What I love about my job more than anything is that it doesn't feel like a job.
00:19I come to work every day and I feel fulfilled.
00:22I come to work and I learn something.
00:24I can talk to anybody and say that I have an idea and they'll be like, yeah, let's try and
00:31make that idea.
00:32I'm proud of being here because they let me have the freedom of creating what I believe.
00:39When I see our games on the shelf, there's a lot of pride that I get in not just my
00:46work,
00:46but the fact that my work is a collaboration with so many other people that I've learned to love and
00:53respect.
00:54I've never been surrounded by more incredible, supportive, and intelligent and talented people.
01:00Back then when I started, I didn't see a whole lot of female role models in video games.
01:06But then recently you start seeing a lot of more women coming into the programming and designer side,
01:13which is awesome to watch.
01:14The efforts Naughty Dog is making is completely apparent.
01:17I see myself in Naughty Dog games.
01:19All of my friends see something of themselves in a Naughty Dog game.
01:25And it's really, really cool because you can say, oh, yeah, I relate to that.
01:31I guess when I was first hired, it was just I couldn't believe that I was here
01:35and that this was a studio that made all of these games that I played.
01:38I don't know if I can apply here.
01:40Like, I don't know if I have the level.
01:42Like, do I?
01:43Don't let people tell you that you cannot do something you really want to do.
01:47Just give it a go.
01:48The worst thing you can hear is no.
01:50I think no matter what, it always seemed like a dream.
01:52It always seemed like something that was really far off.
01:53And when I did get the call back, it was very surreal because who gets to say their childhood
01:59dreams are realized?
