00:13Grazie a tutti
00:30These are the Terrans. They're flying their buildings in to set up their base much as they would in the
00:35original Starcraft. Notice the command center here is holding five SCVs. This is a special new ability that allows the
00:42Terrans to rapidly expand or redeploy on the battlefield. You can see some buildings here that you may recognize. We've
00:49got our factory, which allows the Terrans to make a number of powerful vehicle units. We also have our barracks,
00:55which the Terrans use to create all of their infantry.
00:57You may notice there's some new add-ons attached to these barracks. The first of these add-ons is the
01:02Tech Lab. The Terrans use this to purchase high-tech upgrades. The Terrans also have a new add-on called
01:07the Reactor, which can be used to give an additional build queue to any building it's attached to. This effectively
01:12is doubling the production capacity of this barracks.
01:17This new add-on system also allows the Terrans to reconfigure their production on the battlefield. We can lift off
01:25this barracks and we can fly this factory into its place.
01:33And once the factory lands, that factory will gain the benefits of that Tech Lab, enabling you to build a
01:38number of high-tech vehicles and purchase vehicle-related upgrades.
01:47Base defenses are still very important to the Terrans. We've got our bunkers, which of course will load up with
01:53our infantry.
01:58In addition, the Terrans have a new base defense. This is the Sensor Tower, which the Terrans can upgrade into
02:03a Radar Tower. The regular Sensor Tower detects enemy cloakers.
02:14But the Radar Tower allows Terran players to see enemy units moving in the fog of war.
02:21This is a powerful new ability that allows the Terrans to detect approaching enemy attackers and prepare for enemy ambushes.
02:41The Battlecruiser is back in Starcraft 2. Battlecruisers can be upgraded to have their own special, unique mega-weapon.
02:50Each Battlecruiser is upgraded individually. A popular choice is the Yamato Cannon, which does significant damage to single enemy targets.
03:07Another powerful choice is the Plasma Array.
03:13This is an area-effect attack against enemy ground forces.
03:17To deal with these Battlecruisers, we'll need to bring in our Vikings. This is a new Terran tactical air fighter.
03:26It's armed with two powerful missiles that it can use to engage enemy capital ships.
03:46Viking can also deploy into an assault mode that allows it to move on the ground.
03:51You can imagine all of the different ways that you can use this on the battlefield.
03:55Of course, you can use it to avoid incoming enemy aircraft fire.
03:59But you can also use this special assault mode to make devastating attacks on enemy bases.
04:05We're going to fly north now and look for our enemy base.
04:08And once we get into position, we're going to take our Vikings,
04:11and we're going to transform them into their assault mode and continue the battle on the ground.
04:31Well, the Viking is a very flexible unit.
04:34It does have some drawbacks.
04:36It's very vulnerable to counterattack from a dedicated anti-ground unit like these siege tanks.
04:47That was simply too much firepower for our Vikings to survive.
04:50We're going to be forced to transform into our air mode and move away.
04:54To attack these siege tanks, we're going to bring in our new Terran gunship.
05:01This is the Banshee.
05:03It fires a volley of rockets at enemy ground targets.
05:18We're going to bring in our new Terran gunship.
05:38Now, these Banshees are vulnerable to this Marine counterattack,
05:40so we're going to cloak our Banshees and engage them with our area-effect missiles.
05:45Fortunately for us, those Marines have clustered up,
05:47which is exactly what you don't want to do against the Banshee.
05:58Now, the enemy has a sensor tower nearby, which is allowing him to detect our Banshees,
06:01and those missile turrets are engaging us.
06:03Well, the Banshee is very powerful against ground targets.
06:07It's just not tough enough to stand up to those missile turrets,
06:09and once again, we're forced to retreat.
06:19To continue this attack on the enemy base, we're going to bring in our Reapers.
06:23This is a unit that you may remember from our original announcement demo.
06:27He's got his jump pack, which enables him to traverse this difficult terrain.
06:33The Reaper also has a new ability that you haven't seen yet.
06:36This is his Demolition Charge, which he can throw anywhere on the battlefield.
06:40The Demolition Charge takes a short time to go off,
06:45but once it explodes, it can do devastating damage to static enemy targets.
06:50The Reaper is also very powerful against the enemy's economy.
06:53We're going to move our Reapers into position here in this SCV stream
06:56and start to destroy the enemy's economy.
06:58It looks like the Terran commander is responding
07:01by transforming his command center into a planetary fortress.
07:05This is a powerful new Terran base defense
07:07that our Reapers simply don't have the firepower to deal with.
07:21Like many Terran players, we have bases all over the map.
07:26As you can see here, our supply depots are blocking access into our base,
07:30preventing the enemy from closing with our siege tanks
07:32and allowing us to shell them from range.
07:34Inside our fortified position here, we're going to use our SCV
07:37to build a new special Terran assault unit.
07:41This is the Thor.
07:42It's an assault unit so large and so powerful
07:44that it's actually built out on the battlefield.
07:52Now, it might appear that we are trapped inside our base,
07:56but in StarCraft II, supply depots can be lowered into the ground
08:00into a special defensive position
08:02that allows our units to path over them.
08:05And once we've moved through,
08:07we can raise our supply depots back into position
08:09to protect our siege tanks.
08:21Now, you may notice that the Thor has some additional guns on his back.
08:35These special artillery attacks can be used against tough targets
08:40like this enemy planetary fortress.
08:52Like everything in StarCraft II, the Thor does have his weaknesses.
08:57This is the Cobra.
08:58This is a small, fast Terran hover tank.
09:01He can actually fire on the move,
09:02and he uses his powerful rail guns
09:04to batter through the Thor's thick armor.
09:07Notice the Thor turns very slowly.
09:09That's as fast as the Thor can actually turn.
09:12Makes the Thor very vulnerable to this kind of speedy attacker.
09:26In order to continue our attack on this enemy base,
09:28we're going to need to bring in some specialists.
09:31We really couldn't see making StarCraft II
09:33without including the Ghost.
09:35I hear that.
09:38I'm all over it.
09:41I'm here.
09:42The Ghost in StarCraft II
09:44is far more powerful than he was in the original StarCraft.
09:47I'm all over it.
09:48In addition to his personal cloaking field,
09:50the Ghost can use his sniper rifle
09:52to deal lethal damage to enemy biological targets.
09:58The Ghost also has access to a number of call-downs.
10:01You've already seen our nuclear weapon.
10:03Now we'd like to show you the drop pods.
10:07This special ability allows the Ghost
10:08to summon squads of infantry anywhere he wishes.
10:34As you can see,
10:35the Terrans have a number of new powerful units
10:37and some classic units with some new abilities.
10:41All of these add up into a flexible and powerful side
10:44that is more than a match
10:45for any of their enemies on the battlefields of StarCraft II.
10:49where are you?
10:52Metro.
10:53The Ghost.
