00:00What's your first bowl prediction for the Mets for 2026?
00:03Freddie Peralta is going to be a scion finalist and, in fact,
00:06pitch 200-plus innings for the New York Mets this season.
00:09Now, this might come as a surprise to you, Dex.
00:12It may come as a surprise to some of you guys,
00:13but even though Freddie Peralta is not a starter that's been known
00:17to go terribly deep in a game throughout his career,
00:19he has been one of the most consistent,
00:21and he's only one of nine starters over the past three years or so.
00:24That's average the amount of starts that he has had each and every year.
00:27So durability has been consistent with the young,
00:31more so veteran right-hander now for the Amazons.
00:33He's amped up.
00:34I don't think he has broken his smile since he's been traded to the New York Mets.
00:37I know that he's locked in and ready to give the Mets his all here in 2026,
00:41and the Mets need innings.
00:43He can provide that, but let's finally get a 200-plus inning pitcher
00:47for this amazing Mets rotation, something that we have not seen in quite a while.
00:51I think the 200-plus innings is the surprise there, but you make a good point.
00:55The thing about Freddie is he's generally available, right?
00:59In recent history for him, he's generally available.
01:01That's been a good thing for the Mets.
01:03And listen, if he's going to do that, it's going to be a Cy Young finalist,
01:06has 200-plus innings, it would feel like things are going pretty right for the Mets.
