00:00And in the context of the arrival of the Nuestra America convoy in Cuba,
00:05Felix Lancashire and Chihon, members of the revolutionary communist group,
00:10expressed their support for the Cuban people from Havana.
00:13They also denounced the devastating consequences of the economic blockade imposed by the United States against the island.
00:21This blockade doesn't just affect medicine, right? It's not just about the supply of medicine.
00:26It's a genocidal blockade. It is a blockade on fuel. It's a blockade on energy.
00:30It's a blockade on building materials, war materials, a blockade on everything.
00:35Those of us from other countries who want to stand in solidarity with Cuba,
00:38we can't bring all of these things in our suitcases.
00:40And even if we could, we couldn't do it all of the time for the rest of eternity, right?
00:44Standing in solidarity with Cuba from another country, especially an imperialist country,
00:48isn't about acts of charity. It is about acts of political solidarity.
00:52Just like the solidarity that Cuba has shown the rest of the world.
00:55It's not enough just to come on a convoy.
00:58We have to go back to our countries, our imperialist countries,
01:00and spread the word about what's happening, tell the truth about what's happening in Cuba,
01:04and expose the role of our imperialist states that participate in this genocidal blockade that benefit from it.
01:11From the revolutionary communist group, we're here with the Nuestra America Convoy,
01:15transporting medical aid and other equipment to Cuba.
01:18It's vital that we defend the living example of socialism that is Cuba.
01:23Socialism in Cuba has achieved incredible things for the people of the island,
01:27universal free access to healthcare, to education.
01:30It's achieved virtually zero homelessness.
01:33It's achieved incredible gains in literacy.
01:36It's achieved great advances in women's liberation and queer liberation.
01:40But it's not only achieved things for the working class of Cuba, but also for the working class around the
01:45entire world.
