00:06The elite operators of the U.S. Special Operations Community are tasked with only the most difficult and dangerous missions.
00:13The subjects featured in the following interviews operated within this community and acted as consultants on the development of Medal
00:20of Honor.
00:21Their identities have been concealed for security purposes.
00:30Some people have got this Hollywood image of what an operator is. It's more than just, I'm a soldier.
00:37I knew some of the folks at EA were interested in working with a specific group of people.
00:42They truly wanted an authentic feel to what was going on in the game and how they were going to
00:46build the game.
00:47I got it! Go! Go!
00:50I thought it was important to get involved because this game is going to come out one way or another.
00:54By me being a part of it, I at least have some say in the way the community gets represented.
00:59They asked me to watch some of the footage and comment on the weapons, comment on some of the tactics.
01:05I look at it as an opportunity to do the right thing and let them see the operator for what
01:10he is.
01:12Get to the bottom of the hill!
01:14I think they've done their homework. I think it's going to be a whole new experience.
01:20One more! Damn it! Damn it!
01:21What would the guys say? What would the guys be like? How would they act?
01:25There's definitely some elements of humor. There's some elements of absolute seriousness.
01:30There are also personality aspects which we can inject in the beginning to add up, you know, to give it
01:35a little bit more flavor.
01:36But realistic flavor.
01:38We're going to need a bigger boat.
01:39If I told a story or talked about something half an hour later, I could see the results of what
01:44I said taking place on the screen.
01:46Go loud! Go loud!
01:47The games that are currently out there, at least the ones that I've seen, nothing simulates being on a real
01:52op.
01:55Metal water is going to be different.
01:58It's the human side that they're bringing to the soldier and bringing back respect.
02:04People will get a distinct, realistic feel for guys that are operating at those levels.
02:10I think they've gone the extra mile trying to figure it out.
02:13We've made some recommendations, some strong recommendations based on things they had in the original storyline.
02:19They're extremely receptive to everything we've asked of them. They've come through.
02:25By them taking on board what we're saying, we're able to influence and be sure things are shown in the
02:30proper light and not misrepresented.
02:33I want people to come away with an honest feeling of what it is to be out there and doing
02:38some of that stuff.
02:41We do have a say. We do keep it very real.
02:44And they do respect the fact that we have sacrificed so much of our lives to become what we are
02:50and we can help them understand what it is all about, what is going on over there.
02:56We do keep it very real.
