00:10I'm Ian Millam, I'm the art director on Dead Space 2.
00:15Isaac has evolved in a couple of important ways since his adventures in the first game.
00:24In the first game, Isaac didn't really choose to be there.
00:28He's sort of running some errands for people and sort of doing his job and just trying
00:31to get out.
00:32And now, in Dead Space 2, he's evolved quite a bit because he's had that terrible experience.
00:37So his mind isn't quite right.
00:40At the same time, he can bring that experience to bear and be a lot more effective this time
00:44around.
00:45And he's not taking orders this time, he's sort of giving orders and turning the tide himself.
00:53We wanted Isaac to be a central hero and really more of an agent this time.
00:57So that involved full characterization, you get to see him a lot, he talks, he acts,
01:03he drives the action forward.
01:05Emily, where are you?
01:06Right outside, hurry!
01:08Everybody last time probably had their own image and sound of what he was like.
01:12So there's going to be a certain amount, I'm sure, of getting used to it.
01:16But I think when people see and experience how much more involving the story is this time,
01:21it'll be more than worth it.
01:31Well, Isaac does talk now, but he doesn't do interviews.
01:34And the story is what he's going to do with here.
01:34And he's going to be watching the story of the story.
01:34And I'm, personally, I'm, ugh, God, see you guys.
01:35I'm with you on the journey.
01:35I'm on the journey with a new, and I'm back in the journey.
