02:25Where does a person come from? That's why they are the ones who come from.
02:30Where does a person come from?
02:33I don't want to come from this.
02:37This is the purpose of the person who comes from.
02:41Who is the person who comes from?
02:42Where does a person come from?
02:53So we are starting our election coverage in Northern Kerala in Kanur,
02:57asking the larger question of whether the CPIM-led LDF is going to come back to power.
03:01The CPIM, which was once the third largest party in the country,
03:05with its representation in the parliament, has now been reduced to this small state.
03:08So are they losing ground in their last standing vast in the country?
03:12What is Communism and what is the future of left parties in Indian politics?
03:16This is what we are focusing on in today's episode.
03:19We are focusing on every single person in the country.
03:27That's what we can call it.
03:31What are you talking about about LDF?
03:32The LDF is the most important part of the country.
03:37It is the most important part of the country.
03:40We have just finished 80% of the country.
03:42In the country is the most important part of the country.
03:47We have also introduced government Tenetra for the need.
03:48We have adopted cities until the country.
03:51No part of the country is dangerous.
03:59We have opened up the passage of the Monetary State Basically in the country at the country.
04:02We have also beenenting stressful for the参議院 to the people.
04:04For the CPM, we have to do the work of the CPM.
04:09That's why I'm doing the video.
04:12I want to ask you about this question.
04:16What do you think about this question?
04:22We have to go to the CPM.
04:23We have to go to the CPM.
04:30That's why Rheashtriya Nerevala is a part of Kendra Kovamendu, Kerala Thoolu is a part of Kerala Thoola.
04:40It's a part of Kerala Thoola.
05:07This is the only state where the CPIM is in power. So this is a do or die election. I
05:12don't know if there was in recent time there was an election where the left appeared, you know, so, to
05:18be honest, so desperate to win an election. Is that the case?
05:20If for the left, because now we are governing, I don't want to say ruling, we are governing only Kerala,
05:26it should be our endeavor to retain this base.
05:31Because to make sure that left ideology, left moorings, the perspective is robust in this country, we need to keep
05:40the flag up.
06:04Kerala Thoola is a part of Kerala Thoola.
06:13Kerala Thoola is a part of Kerala Thoola.
06:28JPN Congress is saying that after Bengal and Thoola, now CPM will be washed away from Kerala.
06:33Too much influence of the central government. They are giving money to the people of Bengal and Thoola.
06:41See, they can buy vote by giving money. But here it is not possible.
06:45Sir, you know, when you look at in 2004, CPM was the third largest party in terms of the seat
06:51representation in parliament.
06:53But we have come to a point where it's just restricted to Kerala. What is the future of left parties?
06:57For the nation, it is important that left perspective, left alternative is alive and kicking.
07:03So this election is very crucial for us to make sure that left not only survives but thrives.
07:19This LDA will come back to power?
07:21Definitely, there is no doubt at all. LDA will come to power again.
07:24That if you want to come to power, LDA or any other party, you want to bring back the king
07:29in Kerala to back about ten years back?
07:32Yeah.
07:32Yeah.
07:38Yeah.
07:39Yeah.
07:46Thank you, sir.
07:49It's a new fancy thing, isn't it?
07:51BGP has grown as an unavoidable third front in Kerala. What is it that the party is focusing when it
07:56comes to 2020?
07:57It is becoming increasingly clear to every Malayali that whilst India has moved forward in the last 11 years under
08:04Prime Minister Narendra Modiji,
08:05there are visible signs of economic development, jobs, prosperity, Kerala is falling behind.
08:11And we believe in these elections, these 26 elections and we say it very openly, we consider this as a
08:18very important inflection point for the future of Kerala.
08:21To change the direction of our state from this bipolar controversy-ridden politics of the Congress and the CPM to
08:31a much more development-oriented politics and vision of the NDA.
08:36BGP has said that it is a communist field concept, it is not a party in Bengal, there is no
08:42party in Kerala, there is no party in Kerala.
08:45Can't you tell us about that?
08:46Because I don't have to talk about Kerala in Kerala.
08:50I have to say that in Kerala in Kerala in Kerala in Kerala.
08:54I have to say that in Kerala in Kerala in Kerala.
09:08The party has been criticizing the BJP.
09:11How does the party want to shoot people?
09:15What is the party?
09:15I don't want to, I don't want to wear a party in Kerala.
09:20It's not a party in Kerala.
09:22The party is only criticizing the BJP.
09:36fighting against communalism, saying that, you know, we're fighting against communalism.
09:40Why is the party not propagating its exact ideology?
09:43They are supporting other states, you know.
09:46They give it too much for Gujarat, UP, Madhya Pradesh,
09:50whereas they are not giving what Kerala deserves from central government.
09:55The CPI, the ruling front here, keeps saying that, you know,
09:57when you look at the social indicators,
09:59we are far ahead than any other states ruled by the BGP.
10:01So what is the model of governance that the BGP is putting forward?
10:04Yes, apart from the employment.
10:06Let me just tell you one thing about statistics.
10:08I can use statistics to tell you any kind of story that you want.
10:12That is the whole idea of statistics,
10:13that you can conflate and confuse people by using facts and figures
10:17to paint a picture that you want.
10:19Is there anybody reasonably with common sense
10:22that considers Kerala governance a good government?
10:26Then how come children are moving out?
10:28Then how come schools are collapsing?
10:30How come hospitals are underfunded?
10:32How come without raising debts they cannot survive one day?
10:36There is a fundamental assumption, I hate to say this,
10:39but there is a fundamental assumption that I have learnt after coming to Kerala,
10:42which is that the Congress Party and the CPM thing,
10:45people can be fooled not just once or twice, but all the time.
10:49And I want to break the bad news to them this time.
10:52These elections will prove to them,
10:53you can fool some people some other time,
10:56you can fool some people all the time,
10:58but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
11:00We feel that left is an alternative.
11:04Congress is not an alternative for BJP.
11:14CPM, for example,
11:17it is known as a Kader Party,
11:18but you know it is disintegrating.
11:21Even at the strongholds,
11:24the party villages,
11:26I was surprised when I went through the party villages of Karnur,
11:34there were huge turnout of the people in favour of us.
11:39We lost, for example,
11:40Matanur assemblies,
11:41we lost with a huge margin,
11:43biggest margin last time.
11:45There, there was a,
11:48we were all surprised.
11:51The public participator like anything,
11:53they are all living CPM,
11:56senior leaders as well as the local workers.
11:59In almost all the constituencies,
12:02I have given memberships to new CPM men,
12:05to Congress and other coalition parties.
12:08This is a new thing.
12:10It was, this was not happening before.
12:28Well, we are in Pinarai in Karnur, Kerala.
12:30For most of you,
12:31Pinarai might be the name of the chief minister of Kerala,
12:34Pinarai Vijayan.
12:34But did you know that Pinarai is the place
12:36where the Communist Party of India, Marxist,
12:39took birth in Kerala?
12:40So what is the mood like before the elections?
12:42So what is the mood like before the elections?
13:12MLK noru, noru mark.
13:14MLK noru, noru mark in Kerala?
13:17Rai Vijayan.
13:18Are you there any other thing?
13:19We could discuss everything,
13:21we could discuss everything.
13:22We could discuss everything.
13:23That's not good.
13:24We might not have to do any other party.
13:26We don't have to do much.
13:27We don't have to do any other party.
13:28I will have the best.
13:30Okay, get it.
13:31Get it.
13:31Get it.
13:42What do you think of communist parties in this election?
13:46I don't have any questions.
13:49I don't have any questions.
13:50I don't have any questions.
13:50I don't have any questions.
13:52I don't have any questions.
14:06I don't have any questions.
14:10A question is,
14:19A question.
14:21An answer to that question.
14:22Yes, it is true.
14:25I want a question,
14:33Thank you very much.
14:58The first thing is that the party is a party.
15:04The party is a party.
15:09The party is a party.
15:13The party is a party.
15:19The party is a party.
15:29The party is a party.
15:32It's a question.
15:33Is the left guilty of making Mr. Penaraya Vijayan bigger than the party?
15:37Very interesting.
15:38One charge which has been hurled against us is that
15:43Penaraya Vijayan is arrogant.
15:45He has control over the administration.
15:48Having control, I never knew that it was a negative connotation.
15:53Two years back, if you look at the media,
15:55you know what is it?
15:57Penaraya Vijayan roasted by the district conference, area conference or CPM.
16:04Are you Friday?
16:08Now you say he's arrogant.
16:09So where do you have such accountability?
16:13Where do you have such an open candid discourse whereby our leadership are liable to be criticized?
16:21So how can you have both these premises or propositions together?
16:28With great respect, he's a very senior leader.
16:31At one time I had respect for him.
16:33He represents a completely dinosaur age in Kerala politics.
16:40He cannot meet the aspirations of our youth.
16:44He cannot define what the future of our state should look like.
16:48He has taken our state into bankruptcy.
16:52We are today a state that cannot move one step forward without borrowing.
16:57This is not the future that our proud Malayalis want.
17:00We want something brighter, better.
17:03And we want a Vixitha Kerala.
17:05And that is what the BJP NDA will strive to do.
17:07Especially BJP says that, you know, the communism is a failed concept.
17:11Do you also believe that it's a failed concept?
17:13It is failed.
17:14They failed miserably in Bengal and Tribula.
17:17They were not in the space.
17:18Nowhere in the space.
17:19And the Kerala that will happen, differently.
17:50Thank you very much.
18:01Thank you very much.
18:28Thank you very much.
19:01Thank you very much.
19:04Thank you very much.
19:34Thank you very much.
19:41Thank you very much.
20:23Thank you very much.
20:30Thank you very much.
20:39Thank you very much.
20:41Thank you very much.
21:13Thank you very much.
21:15Thank you very much.
21:16Thank you very much.
21:17There are issues where we need to convince the people.
21:21There are matters where we need to take drastic decisions.
21:25and we have to be quick to address the grievance of the people
21:30and we did cross over to the people, went to their houses
21:33to seek their opinion and also to convey to them
21:37if at all they need a reassurance from our side
21:40we convinced them
21:47Alright, enough of the politics
21:50we have saved our best for the last
21:54this is an experience
21:57the legend of Mutappan unfolds
22:26well, if you are in Malabar, Kerala, especially in Kannur
22:29it's incomplete without visiting Lord Mutappan
22:31well, who is Lord Mutappan and what does he mean to the people of this region?
22:35well, that's the story we are telling you from Parishnikarava Sri Mutappan Temple
22:38the Mahavishn
22:48the Mahavishn
22:48the Mahavishn
22:49a Shivan
22:50a two brothers
23:12Yes, from our childhood we have been coming here and the thing about the specialty about
23:17this temple is there is no religion.
23:18You can see all types of people coming here and you know it's such a blessing.
23:23I've actually been able to come here after so many years.
23:44When you see Mudappen performing right in front of you like when you see that you know form
23:49right before you what do you feel like we feel that God listen to us our problems and he
23:55gave not to say solutions but give a positive energy to us.
24:00We have been able to come here in front of you.
24:05We have been able to come here in the spiritual level.
24:08We have been able to come here in the spiritual level.
24:12I think we have been able to tell you that God is the same thing.
24:16What is the message of Mudappen?
24:18What is the message of Kerala?
24:20What is the message of Kerala?
24:20You have to send the message to Kerala.
24:23You have to send the message to Kerala.
24:53persist with it all that only time will tell
24:59but my biggest takeaway from here is mudapan's teachings whichever party comes to power i hope
25:06the social fabric of my state remains intact beyond caste beyond religion a reminder that we're all one
25:26so
25:39you
