Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi of the UK, says it is an "outright miracle" no one was injured during an arson attack on ambulances belonging to the Jewish Community Ambulance service in Golders Green overnight. Rabbi Mirvis denounces it as an "act of sheer evil" by "awful, wicked people". Report by Ketchs. Like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/itn and follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/itn

00:00I've just been standing alongside three ambulances which have been burned to the ground, situated
00:05alongside a synagogue, of which windows have been blown out, and an apartment block. Many
00:11windows smashed and blown out. It's an outright miracle that no person was injured, and this
00:18was an act of sheer evil. We're discovering new lows to which awful, wicked people are
00:26reaching in their desire to intimidate and terrorize the Jewish community, but it's not working
00:32because we're strong, we're acting with fortitude, we're responding with resilience. The synagogue
00:38alongside which this happened will be back in business this afternoon for regular daily
00:43services, and I'm pleased to hear that the ambulances will be replaced, and we will emerge from this
00:51incident even stronger than we were before.
