Learn how to passwords protect your Microsoft Excel file.

To password protect an Excel file and prevent any editing, users can follow a simple process. Firstly, open the Excel file and navigate to the "File" tab. From there, select "Info" and then "Protect Workbook." Users can choose the option to "Encrypt with Password," prompting a dialogue box where they can enter a password of their choice. To restrict access further, users can utilize the "Protect Structure and Windows" option under the "Review" tab, setting a password to open or modify the workbook. This ensures that only authorized individuals can make changes to the file. It's important to note that password protection adds a layer of security, but the strength of the password chosen plays a crucial role in safeguarding the file. While password protection enhances file security, it's advisable to use strong and unique passwords for better protection against unauthorized access.

Here are the steps outlined in my video.

Password Protection
1) File ~ Save As ~ Browse
2) Tools ~ General Options...
3) "Password to open"
4) Enter password twice
5) Ok
6) Save
7) Yes
