00:32about six months after high school.
00:34I did four years with the Rangers,
00:36and I heard about this unit.
00:38What drove me to go into that unit was the challenge.
00:42Any Tier 1 level unit or elite unit that operates at a high level,
00:47everybody's superstars in those units.
00:50It pushes you harder.
00:53I was a team breacher.
00:54The roles of a breacher are kind of complex.
00:57There's a lot of energy in explosives, and they're very dangerous.

01:05Your job is a lot more than just putting a charge on a door
01:08and just hitting the clacker and detonating the charge.
01:12You have to strike that balance between getting entry
01:15and safeguarding your team
01:17and also the hostages that are inside the buildings.

01:27to see what I was required to do,
01:30and I would make modifications to my equipment.
