00:01Modern sailing is usually a leisure activity close to the shore but these
00:05sailors went to the most isolated place on earth. The ocean race begins in Spain
00:11in January and then sails around the world to Italy by July. Recently they
00:18reached Point Nemo known as the most isolated place on earth since it is 1,670
00:25miles away from the closest land in any direction. They are actually closer to
00:30people on the space station. Charlie Enright of the 11th Hour Racing Team said
00:35of the location. Yeah the big line if you will about Point Nemo is that when we're
00:40down here the closest people to us other than our competitors will be the people
00:44of the space station. It's not all fun and games. They are also collecting scientific
00:49data but also seeing the world in the process.
