00:10It's been a long and exciting road, and now we're at the final stretch of development.
00:15We're taking all that hard work and knowledge to create the best Battlefield experience ever,
00:21when Battlefield 3 ships on October 27th across all of Europe.
00:25I've been working on the game for the last several years,
00:28side by side with the talented Battlefield team and the great Frostbite 2 team.
00:32And I must say that Battlefield 3 is the best authentic warfare experience this year.
00:38In March, you'll remember, we first showed a single player
00:41where gamers took on the role of Sergeant Blackburn, navigating through a bad part of town.
00:47We followed up three months later with a single player tank mission
00:51in the vast desert outside of Tehran,
00:53where players got into the driver's seat as Lieutenant Miller.
00:57The single player campaign has been shaped with the help of ex-SAS operator
01:01and best-selling author Andy McNabb.
01:04And we recently also announced that he's writing a book
01:08based on yet another playable character in the story, a Russian called Dima.
01:13But Battlefield 3's single player is just a tip of the iceberg.
01:17That's right. Today we're actually unveiling an entirely new feature for the Battlefield series,
01:22our co-op mode.
01:23We've always been known for best-in-class multiplayer,
01:26and I think we've proved we can deliver a fantastic single player experience with Bad Company 2.
01:30Now we're introducing a new component to the franchise,
01:33and I think you're going to love it.
01:35This co-op mode features a full range of Battlefield gameplay,
01:39including ground and air vehicle missions,
01:41as well as tight urban air warfare.
01:44In the mission we're about to play,
01:46Hamid Al-Sakir, a high-ranking officer in the PLR,
01:50has decided to defect.
01:51And our objective is to find him and secure him
01:54and target him and bring him into the green zone.
01:57So let's get started with our live co-op PlayStation 3 demo.
