00:30And here, we're gonna send in some of our rookies to take a look at what's going on. The red
00:36shirts are purely coincidental.
00:39And here's a Thin Man. Most of you will remember this enemy, and he does what Thin Men do.
00:46And a Muton should have even less trouble.
00:52So we'll have to do better.
00:53The aliens aren't backing down, Commander. Now might be a good time to field test our latest advancements.
01:00Alright, our latest advancements.
01:02So this is the Mechtrooper, as well as a pair of soldiers who have been genetically modified in XCOM's new
01:10genetics lab.
01:12Let's talk about the Mechtrooper first.
01:14So he is a new soldier class. He gets to wear the Mechanized Exoskeletal Cybersuit, or mech.
01:20And his main weapon is a minigun.
01:25These aliens are in cover, but our Mechtrooper can deal with that.
01:29He has an ability called Collateral Damage, and this lets him destroy cover at a very high ammo cost.
01:42Alright, so the Thin Man is down, and the Muton is still up, but his cover is gone.
01:47Our Sniper would like to set up a good shot on him, but she wants height advantage.
01:53Now there's no ladder, but her genetically modified leg muscles will help get her there to set up the headshot.
02:07Alright, the Muton is down, so we'll advance our other soldier to look for more threats on this battlescape.
02:17Oh, this is a Sectoid Commander. You may remember him from XCOM Enemy Unknown.
02:22He has the power of Mind Control.
02:25But this one's in for a surprise.
02:28Our soldier has a gene mod called Neural Feedback.
02:31That's a brain modification that causes a backlash against psionic attacks.
02:38Alright, a Sectoid is going to move to flank.
02:44And a Berserker is going to come in.
02:46Now we're going to deal with the Sectoid first.
02:49Our Mech is out of ammo.
02:52But he also mounts a Kinetic Strike Module.
02:54This is a rocket-powered fist that gives him a devastating close-quarters attack.
03:05Now we have to deal with the Berserker.
03:07Those of you who fought Berserkers in XCOM Enemy Unknown will remember that they like to go after enemies who
03:13deal damage to them.
03:15So we're not going to shoot at him right away.
03:17Instead, we're going to set up overwatch shots with both of our soldiers.
03:20And let the Berserker, whose aggressive nature leads him to engage the nearest target, have a go at the Mech.
03:37So our soldiers take their reaction shots, but the Berserker is still alive and dangerous.
03:42You'll notice that XCOM's gene modded soldiers have their own unique armor style.
03:47This gives them a distinctive look on the battlefield, but it works the same way as the rest of XCOM's
03:52armor technology.
03:58So a Thin Man is going to drop in behind us, so worse and worse.
04:01But our Mech can still use his Kinetic Strike Module and teach this Berserker a lesson.
04:11Alright, so the Berserker is down, but the Thin Man is still there.
04:16Now our Sniper, however, has one of Dr. Shen's new inventions, and that's the Needle Grenade.
04:21So the Needle Grenade is like a regular grenade, but it has a huge blast radius.
04:26However, it also obeys cover, so the Thin Man will be hurt, but our soldier is safe.
04:37Okay, the Thin Man is down, so we can take our soldier, move him up, put him on overwatch.
04:48And here we have a Sectoid.
04:52No sweat.
04:54Strike one. We're picking up an unidentified contact.
04:58That's odd. It almost looks like two signatures.
05:02Well, Central sounds concerned. We should check that out.
05:06So we'll move the Mech up.
05:10And he'll meet the Mechtoid.
05:11And this is a Sectoid in a battle suit.
05:16Of course the aliens have their own mechs.
05:20That was just a small sample of the new weapons, abilities, and challenges that we've added to the world of
05:25XCOM.
05:25Thanks for watching.
