Videointervista sul Frostbite per Need for Speed: The Run.

00:05The Frostbite 2 engine really helps us push the boundaries of the world, I mean, if you look at the
00:11game, just visually it's incredible.
00:14The sound of the cars, the ambience around you, you really can sort of feel the adrenaline as you're racing
00:22through the game.
00:22It also helps open the doors to new scripted moments, action levels, things that we never really were able to
00:31pull off with our old engine because it was purely more of a racer.
00:35Now we can do action, we can tell a better story, and we can do things with the character and
00:41put him in situations that normally we were never able to deliver before.
00:50It's a bit different working on a racing game from Battlefield, you know, they're a first person shooter, so they're
00:56focusing more on the pace of a soldier running through the field or a slower moving tank.
01:02But when you're driving 200 miles an hour, things change, right? You have to adapt how you're designing your levels,
01:09how you're changing your worlds.
01:11Their focus was a lot of destruction. We wanted to do some of that, but we've kept it sort of
01:16near the roadway.
01:18So it's, you know, things that you don't mind crashing through, but obviously we don't want to focus on things
01:22that'll bring your car to a dead stop either.
01:25So we had to try to find a nice balance in between, you know, what they were doing and what
01:29we needed for racing.
