00:07Hey guys, this is a Sunsfan with an introduction to Nyx Assassin.
00:13Nyx Assassin is not a typical agility hero whose right clicks are what enemies fear.
00:18Instead, he relies on ridiculous burst damage to take down enemies quickly.
00:23Impale is very similar to Lion's Earthspike.
00:26This ability will work within a 500 range and have a small AoE of 125.
00:32Any units caught will be damaged by 260 and stunned for 2.25 seconds.
00:39Remember that much like Lion's stun, units will fly for 0.52 seconds before the actual stun is applied.
00:46Mana Burn is a single target skill which will do just as the name suggests.
00:51It will burn mana of the intended target, but it's not a static amount.
00:56It will burn mana equal to 4 times the enemy target's intelligence, therefore allowing it to scale to late game.
01:03Also note that this Mana Burn mechanic will deal damage equal to the amount of mana burned.
01:08The only things to change while leveling this skill are the mana cost, which goes up by 20 each level,
01:13and the cooldown, which is reduced by 8 seconds, eventually landing at only a 4 second cooldown at level 4.
01:21Spiked Carapace is an active ability which, when activated, will prevent and then reflect the next instance of hero damage.
01:29At its highest level, you will reflect 100% of the damage, and it will stun the enemy target by
01:342.4 seconds.
01:36This buff will last for just one instance of enemy hero damage for up to 4.5 seconds.
01:42And in case you were wondering, the damage dealt back is pure damage.
01:47And then we get to Nyx Assassin's Ultimate, Vendetta, which is an active ability which will first and foremost turn
01:53Nyx invisible for up to 50 seconds.
01:57While invisible, you'll gain a 20% movement speed increase, have unit walking, and will deal 525 backstab damage when
02:06attacking out of the invisibility.
02:08The great thing about this spell is that the invis has a 0 second fade time, which means you can
02:14dodge spells.
02:15Also, you will not be revealed at the beginning of your attack, but instead when the damage is dealt.
