00:11The meat of the game for me is exactly what we do
00:13it's the game play part.
00:15So one of the major changes we made to NBA 2K13
00:18was we made
00:20what normally is our shot stick is the default
00:21on the right stick. It's now your control stick.
00:24It's a one to one system so when you move the stick to the left
00:26you move the ball to the left.
00:27If you roll the stick around in a circle
00:29then you'll do a spin move. It feels a lot better
00:31and it gives you a lot more control
00:33over what you want to do with the ball. You kind of use both
00:35sticks in conjunction to get the moves you
00:37want and to get the movement you want after.
00:39My number one goal for this year was
00:41to make sure that defense can keep up
00:43with the dribbler.
00:45This year I actually want to be the on-ball defender. I want to feel
00:47that interaction between the ball handler and the
00:49defender. I feel like I can force them to go
00:51certain ways. I can see that dance between the two
00:53players. We worked really hard on getting
00:55the movement changing direction
00:57foot planting right so that our defender
00:59does not feel like hey
01:01why is this guy sliding why is he catching
01:03up when physics tells him that
01:05he's already beat. It's just a lot of fun
01:07to play on-ball defense now. Hold down your
01:09left trigger and tap your
01:11right stick left or right and you can change your
01:13stance so that you can shade a guy
01:15left side or right side based on how you
01:17want to play specific dribblers in the game.
01:19Now you can just kind of walk up on a guy
01:21they'll kind of creep up on their defender
01:22and then as they're creeping up on them
01:25they'll rock the ball from side to side
01:26and those are the things that we had a hard
01:28time getting with the old system that you can
01:30do now with the right stick. We really believe
01:31this is the best one we've put out so far.
