00:09I'm Kate Ural, I am the Marketing Coordinator for Final Fantasy XIV.
00:14You're probably wondering why we're all here and why we have this really cool Final Fantasy XIV and Realm Reborn
00:19Collector's Edition here.
00:20As you can probably imagine, we're going to be doing an unboxing video and showing you exactly what you get
00:25inside the package of the Collector's Edition.
00:27As you can see on the front, we have the awesome art from one of the famed Final Fantasy artists,
00:33Yoshitaka Amano.
00:34On the back, there's a quick overlay of what we're about to look at.
00:38So let's jump into it.
00:39Alright, we go from here we go.
00:42This is the most fun part of the unboxing is the preparation.
00:45It's like Christmas opening.
00:48Alright, here we go. Toss down the ground.
00:53Alright, so like we said, we have this really cool outside part, but we can go ahead and take this
00:58off.
00:59Put this aside for now.
01:01Here we can see the actual box itself with the same Amano artwork on the front.
01:06The cool thing is that, you can see the sides here, really nice little kind of a book almost.
01:13So let's go ahead and put this down.
01:17Open it up.
01:19Start off with what we got.
01:21Here we go.
01:23As you can see, this is the Realm Reborn art book.
01:27And Matt's going to go through quickly and talk about...
01:30Yep.
01:30So we have a hardcover art book called The Art of Eorzea.
01:33It showcases a lot of the cool artwork that was used to create the game itself.
01:37As well as shows off some of the really cool designs of what the team used to create some of
01:43the enemies and some of the player characters and things like that.
01:45So in here, you'll find a lot of really cool stuff that showcases a lot of what you'll be seeing
01:49in Realm Reborn as you're adventuring through it.
01:52Speaking of the team, here they are right now taking an awesome picture with their signatures below.
01:57So we don't want to showcase too much because there's some pretty cool stuff in the end that we don't
02:01want to give away yet.
02:02But as you can see, it's a pretty cool little book and it has a nice little cover on the
02:05outside.
02:05So you guys can keep it on your bookshelf and be proud of it.
02:08And up next, we have the Final Fantasy XIV branded security token.
02:12It's a really nice way to add an extra layer of security, so it's really cool and it has, like
02:16you said, the artwork of Amano on it, which is really nice.
02:20Up next, we're going to take a look at the game itself here.
02:23As you can see, we have some beautiful new artwork of a group of adventurers fighting against a behemoth in
02:29a fate battle.
02:30Let's go ahead and take a look at the back here.
02:34Very cool.
02:35Alright, let's go ahead and open this bad boy up.
02:38First off, we have the game itself.
02:41This will be used to install the client and all the current installation patches and everything like that to get
02:47you started.
02:48We actually have a really cool Blu-ray that actually has a lot of footage from the previous game to
02:54kind of set the story for A Realm Reborn.
02:56You can watch this on Blu-ray player, nice HD quality, and get a kind of a refresher on what's
03:02happened before the game starts.
03:04So for people who are coming in brand new, those will be really cool to see and kind of find
03:07out what they missed and find out, you know, how the stage is set for A Realm Reborn.
03:11And for people who played the original version, it's a cool chance to release some of those really exciting moments.
03:16And up next, we have these awesome art cards that showcase different Final Fantasy XIV characters.
03:24Yep, very cool.
03:27Take your time, don't need scissors.
03:30I might.
03:31Alright.
03:32We are done by our amazing team visual works.
03:36And Matt's going to go through what we have.
03:38Alright, so we have five cards.
03:40First one here, we have the Paladin.
03:42You can see he's very valiant and probably, you know, just finished tanking for his party or protecting the squishy
03:49Lalafels or the mages in the back.
03:51So that's really cool.
03:52Really dynamic pose.
03:55Up next, let's see what we got.
03:56We got the Warrior.
03:58Similar.
03:59Just came out of battle.
04:00Probably just finished defeating a giant monster and getting XP and probably looting now.
04:05So it's pretty awesome.
04:06That's one of my favorite.
04:07I like to play this guy too.
04:08He's really awesome.
04:10Who's my favorite?
04:11Really?
04:11The Black Mage?
04:12So next up we have the Black Mage.
04:13Really powerful.
04:15You guys know Black Mage from Final Fantasy.
04:17We have Final Fantasy XIV.
04:19Extremely strong.
04:20Maybe not so high on defense.
04:22You know, you gotta be careful if you don't.
04:23Overdo it, I guess.
04:25But they're very awesome.
04:28Next up we have Bahamut himself.
04:31He debuted beginning of the 7th Umbral Era.
04:34He's part of the really big reason on why the realm is being reborn.
04:38It's going to be something that players are going to be finding out as they're playing the new story.
04:42And finding out exactly what's up with Bahamut and what he's been up to.
04:46And finally we have the amazing and very iconic Magitek from Final Fantasy VI.
04:52Making his way into Final Fantasy XIV.
04:54Players will actually need to defeat these guys.
04:57These are actually going to be a really tough enemy that players will need to work together
05:00and fight against the invading forces that use Magitek mounts like this.
05:05And it's going to be pretty exciting stuff.
05:07But yeah, these cool cards are really awesome and you can kind of do whatever you want to
05:10and put them in a nice frame or put them on your wall or put them on your pillow for
05:14good luck.
05:14That's what I plan on doing.
05:17But other than that, yeah, that's our five art cards.
05:20Up next we have...
05:21Next we have the official Final Fantasy XIV soundtrack called The Sounds of Erizea.
05:28And on here you'll see that they're just quick samples of the different music that you'll be seeing,
05:33listening to in the three cities.
05:36Correct.
05:37Well, I mean that's about what wraps it up for what is included inside of the Collectors Edition.
05:42Like we said, we're getting close to launch.
05:45But you know what?
05:45There is one other thing that we haven't talked about.
05:47That's the digital bonus items that are included inside the Collectors Edition.
05:51So let me just bring this sleeve back up just to be a quick run through of what you get
05:56in here.
05:56So you can see here at the bottom you have these four digital items.
05:59We'll go through them really quickly.
06:01First and foremost we have our Warrior of Light Helmet.
06:05So you might remember him from Final Fantasy I.
06:07You'll be able to wear this around Erizea as you're adventuring.
06:10Up next...
06:11Up next we have the Baby Behemoth Minion, my actual favorite.
06:15Yes.
06:15These minions can follow you around.
06:17They're pretty much your little mini friends as you journey throughout the whole world.
06:20I plan on collecting every single minion in the game, so this is a good starting point.
06:25Up next we have our Coerl Mount.
06:27You guys probably know Final Fantasy's famous coral monster.
06:31Now this one you've kind of tamed and you can actually ride around Erizea on your adventures.
06:36And the cool thing has the really iconic whiskers, the long whiskers that really animate really cool when you're running
06:41through fields and things like that.
06:43Up next we have the Behemoth Barding.
06:46The cool thing of that is your chocobo mounts in the game, you actually outfit them with different armor.
06:51Things like the black mage armor for your chocobo or the white mage armor and things like that.
06:55But here we present the behemoth themed armor.
06:58So he looks pretty fierce, looks pretty ferocious, but underneath that is your cuddly friendly chocobo.
07:04But it's really cool, you can actually look very cool as you're running around the towns and things like that.
07:09So like we said, we're getting close to our launch date, August 27th.
07:13We're almost there, but the cool thing is if you pre-order now you'll actually be able to get early
07:16access as well as two other digital in-game items.
07:20Early access is set to start next Saturday on the 24th and go all the way through launch.
07:26So you'll have a few days ahead of time to get your adventure started and get going.
07:31Pretty exciting stuff.
07:32We've got one more thing to show you guys.
07:34There are two lucky winners who will receive a signed copy from our director and producer, Yoshida Naoki.
07:40As you can see his signature is on the back of the collector's edition, as well as on the front
07:48of the actual game.
07:51Very cool.
07:52You can see that's pretty awesome.
