00:39Like everything else in FMC, the match day experience is designed to move quickly and fluidly while still delivering the
00:45realism you'd expect from Football Manager.
00:48Everything you need to do prior to kick-off can be taken care of through just a couple of screens,
00:53but that shouldn't mean that this element of the game should be rushed.
00:57No matter how good your preparation has been, it's still vital that you take the time just before kick-off
01:02to ensure that you've selected the right team and tactics for the match in question.
01:07Once you're sure that everything is as it should be, you're ready to go.
01:10There are no team talks or other preamble, you can head straight to the dugout.
01:14There's one final decision to be made. You have to choose whether to watch the game unfold or to go
01:21straight for an instant result.
01:22If you choose to watch the action, you'll be presented with a selection of edited highlights.
01:27These are overlaid with one main information panel which can display whatever information the manager wants to see from a
01:34selection of 11 different options.
01:36Other relevant information is also fed to the manager through the constantly updating match news feed.
01:42For those of you who choose the instant result option, and there are many reasons why you might choose to
01:48do this, to speed through pre-season friendlies perhaps,
01:50it's probably important that you set up a match plan.
01:54This plan takes into account a number of factors, such as what substitutions to make when the team is leading
01:59or losing with 20 minutes to go,
02:02and can make all the difference between success and failure.
02:06Whether a manager chooses not to watch the action unfold or not, a match report is delivered, and the highlights
02:12can always be watched at a later date.
