00:07It's Thursday, it's time for another Disney Infinity Top 5 Toy Box Countdown.
00:13This is Disney Infinity's Executive Producer John Vignocchi here, ready to bring you the
00:17best Toy Box creations that you guys have submitted for our consideration this week.
00:22We know you've been asking for more info on everything Disney Infinity, and the guys at
00:26e Avalanche, the creators of the game are bringing you two new segments this week
00:30Toy Box blueprints and tips and tricks
00:32both of these are going to give you insight on how to make some amazing new creations inside of Toy
00:38Box
00:38First off, we want to share the winners from our most recent challenge
00:41The Halloween Challenge
00:43and now over to our Disney Infinity Community Manager Alison to tell you a bit about the winning entries
00:48Hey guys! Let's check out our winners
00:50At number 5 we have the Haunted Tomb created by xShadow246
00:55Let's start by giving props to Xshadow246 for designing a really compelling end goal for
01:00toybox completion, for moving the sword and the stones from a creepy tomb.
01:03Nice!
01:04We mentioned that this thing is haunted, right?
01:06Well it is, and all kinds of tricks and traps will tend to halt your progress, so look
01:11out!
01:11This is one of the more challenging toyboxes that we have seen to date, but also one of
01:15the most rewarding.
01:16So don't be a scaredy cat, get in there and get that sword!
01:20Next up at number 4, I Love Halloween created by Sergio Chileno from Chile.
01:25This toybox challenges you to make your way home for a super cool costume party, but believe
01:29us when we say that you'll have to earn it.
01:31The toybox starts off with an awesome greeting from a grinning jack-o'-lantern.
01:35Nice design skills, Sergio Chileno.
01:37This is just the kind of customization that makes toyboxes great.
01:41It's also probably a good time to mention that Jack Skellington has some jack-o'-lanterns
01:44of his own, which he can use to help you progress through the toybox.
01:48Jack certainly captures the spirit of Halloween in a great way.
01:52At the number 3 position, we have the Halloween Manor created by Dismatt from France.
01:57Okay, one great way to approach creation of a toybox is to try to tell a story.
02:02In this case, you embark on a spookified adventure through a huge haunted mansion, but it's anything
02:07but predictable.
02:09You'll ride through a garden maze on the lovable bullseye from Toy Story, scale treacherous
02:13walls, and sell some pretty substantial puzzles.
02:16The story comes to a very rewarding conclusion when you get to… well, you'll just have to
02:20play through to see it, but let's just say it's a very Disney ending.
02:24Coming in at number 2, Trick or Treat created by Blue Spidey Dude.
02:28Wow!
02:29A Halloween-themed obstacle course in the style of parkour?
02:32Yes, please!
02:33This is just the kind of creativity and innovation that blows our minds.
02:37This toybox mixes it up with all kinds of moving platforms, jumps, rail grinds, and races.
02:42Sorry!
02:42Also, it's designed for repeated plays, as there are several ways to complete it.
02:46You don't want to give too much away, but let's just say that it involves the reunion
02:50of two Disney characters that we can't get enough of.
02:54And now, for the top toybox of the week worldwide, we have Jack in the Box by DGore0407.
03:01This toybox is an action-packed fight for survival against an army of enemies put into place by
03:06our favorite Halloween Town villain, Oogie Boogie.
03:09This guy never lets up, and you will need to utilize every drop of skill to make it through.
03:13The level design here is just top-notch, and we really applaud DGore's design talent.
03:18The special attention to detail with the block-based creations of Oogie Boogie and Jack Skellington
03:22were just stunning.
03:24Never underestimate the power of the toybox, guys.
03:26Anything is truly possible.
03:28Oof!
03:29Okay, everyone.
03:30So for our next community challenge, we're celebrating the release of the all-new Toy Story
03:34playset.
03:35As you may know, the whole concept of the Disney Infinity Toy Box was, in fact, inspired by
03:40the Toy Story universe.
03:41And what better way to pay tribute to the amazing minds at Pixar, than to make and share
03:46your own toybox with their world.
03:48And as you saw earlier, we're also getting into the Halloween spirit right now, so one
03:52fun idea might be to infuse a little bit of spookiness in your toybox as well.
03:56It's just one of the many possibilities, so just have fun with it.
04:02Hello Disney Infinity Gamers.
04:04Charlie here.
04:04Today I'm going to show you this Toy Story in Space toybox I built, and the process I
04:09used to design it.
04:11Typically, I will build my toyboxes based around a central landmark.
04:14In this case, it is the Toy Story claw machine, which, as you can see, has been built primarily
04:19out of block toys.
04:21After the toy claw machine, I moved onto the next most complicated thing, the small town.
04:26When building a town, I will put down the roads and sidewalks first, so I can get an idea
04:30of the overall layout and spacing.
04:32The next step is to place the buildings.
04:35Once the buildings are placed, I will add the remaining doodads I want, like light posts
04:39and fire hydrants.
04:58Now that the central features of the map are laid out, I move onto the surrounding terrain.
05:03I do things like placing shaped terrain blocks at the top of the cliffs to break up flat horizon
05:07lines, and I place plants around the toybox to add some life to the scene.
05:12So there it is.
05:13A complete Toy Story in Space toybox.
05:15Download this toybox and others to check out what you can do with Toy Story in Space.
05:20Hey Charlie here.
05:22I'm going to show you how to keep score on a sports or collection game.
05:25You can use several types of goals.
05:27The hockey goal, the field goal, the basketball hoop, or the collection pen.
05:31I'm going to use the field goal because I think it's the most fun.
05:34We need to use a counter or a scoreboard for this.
05:36We'll use the counter because this is a one player game I'm putting together.
05:42First what I'm going to do is connect the field goal to the counter and then set the
05:46counter limit to two so we win when we reach two.
05:50And then connect the counter to the party cannon to trigger once we reach the goal of two.
05:56So what I'm going to do now is go find little aliens and kick them through the field goal and
06:01try to win this game.
06:13Here's the first alien and it's good.
06:19The second, also good.
06:24There you go.
06:25That's how you keep track of score in a sports or collection game.
06:29Okay guys, our community forums are now live so make sure you visit the site, log in, and
06:33join in the Disney Infinity community conversation.
06:36Look guys, this is your headquarters to come together and talk about all things Disney Infinity.
06:41And we'll be there and looking forward to your suggestions.
06:44Alright, so that's it for this week.
06:46Tune back in next Thursday to see our next round of winners and an all new toy box challenge.
06:50Keep building those toy boxes and let your creativity loose.
06:53Until next time, stay awesome guys!
