00:30We were able to change head tracking to be more based on lean.
00:33What we've seen is when players get really into racing,
00:35they put body English on how they drive.
00:39And that actually helps them look into the corner
00:41and becomes a more immersive experience.
00:42It's very subtle, but it adds the immersion.
00:49As a lot of people know, we actually started out as a Kinect title.
00:52What do we actually want to do with it?
00:54And we had this concept like, I'm a Battlefield General.
00:57So with my controller, I control my sword and shield.
01:01I control my character and my combat experience.
01:02But with my voice, I command units.
01:05So as people will see, you use your voice in these scenarios
01:08where you have archers and you tell them,
01:09cover me and they fire and kill guys around you.
01:12Or you tell them, hold that position, cover the front line
01:15and they'll take care of that.
01:16After you play the game for a while and you start using the voice,
01:19you start sort of taking on a bit of Marius' character.
01:22So it's not like fire volley, it's like fire volley!
01:29When we looked at Kinect, we see an opportunity for evolution.
01:32We just saw that, you know, if you got attacked,
01:34well, you just kind of just want to push them off.
01:36So that's what we developed as one of our starting features
01:39where you get attacked by these zombies,
01:41you don't get the button game, you just push them right off.
01:44It's just so natural.
01:44Like, you know, like in a race game,
01:46you kind of naturally tilt your body, right?
01:48And then when somebody attacks you, you're like,
01:50yeah, get off me, right?
01:51And you can do that sitting down, you know,
01:52kicking back, laying sideways.
01:53I didn't want to break a sweat, I don't want to look dumb.
01:57I just want to be able to play my game
01:58and not feel like I'm interrupted.
02:01And I think we've achieved that.
02:04You know, we're really excited with Just Dance 2014
02:06to be able to actually utilize the Kinect 2
02:09to actually capture six people simultaneously.
02:12Now, even more people can play, be scored,
02:14and join in on the Just Dance level.
02:20You know, under 360, we always talked about monkey seeing, monkey doing.
02:23We said, wow, we finally got a monkey!
02:24And you can basically smile, and the animals smile,
02:26and you can wink, and the animal winks,
02:28and it's directly one-on-one.
02:30You can move your head,
02:31and so the emotional connection,
02:33it really feels like there's another being on the other side,
02:35and it reacts to you much beyond what we could do before.
02:42The Crimson Dragon is a 3D rail shooter.
02:44You'll actually be flying on the back of a dragon,
02:46and as you lean to the left or lean to the right,
02:48it'll actually read that,
02:49and it'll have your dragon in the game
02:50to be doing dodge rolls to the left or to the right.
02:52So you can keep your fingers on the trigger,
02:54you don't have to lose any of your accuracy,
02:56and just be making those quick moves and those quick decisions,
02:58and the game is responding to you naturally.
03:00You'll also be able to use voice commands in the game
03:02to command your wingman,
03:03so you'll be able to tell them to advance forward,
03:04to fall back,
03:05and to unleash that combined strike that I was talking about before.
03:08It makes for a much more engaging experience,
03:09and we're actually giving players who use the Kinect
03:11a little bit of a benefit in the game
03:13by doing some extra damage
03:14and giving them some extra energy
03:16and that sort of thing
03:16to basically reward them
03:18for becoming more involved with the game.
03:21When you really jump into using Kinect in the game,
03:25it completely changes everything.
03:27What's really interesting is
03:27Swari's Kinect design pillars
03:30are empathy and replication of senses.
03:33The idea is basically you have a one-to-one mapping
03:35between what the player is doing
03:36and what David Young, the detective,
03:38is doing in the game,
03:39and that gives you more of a sense of empathy
03:41with that character as you play.
03:44So the upgrade to the new Kinect sensor
03:47is first and foremost,
03:48the play space is a lot smaller
03:50than you used to have to be.
03:51We have a much wider field of view,
03:53so you can get a lot closer.
03:54You don't have to move your furniture around as much.
03:56It's just much more simpler to play.
03:58And then also,
03:59the tracking is much, much more precise.
04:01Our estimate is about 10 times more precise
04:03than we had previously,
04:04which allows us to do things
04:05like open-closed hands on the Wake Racer.
04:08You can hit different shots in tennis,
04:10as well as hitting different shots in soccer
04:12and use rotation in bowling.
04:13So it really opens up
04:14a whole new opportunities
04:15when we look at each of the sports.
04:17But mainly when you download pre-season
04:19on Kinect Sports Vitals,
04:20you'll be able to feel that control
04:22on your Xbox One for sale for launch.
