00:26you'll be able to get your hands on during our closed beta

00:31Before we begin, remember that this closed beta
00:34does not represent the final game
00:36and many modifications may be applied
00:38before we release
00:40Now as most of you already know
00:42The Crew is a driving game set in an open world
00:44with MMORPG components
00:47It's an MMO
00:49meaning you'll be playing online
00:50with friends and strangers on a single server
00:53and as an RPG
00:55it means you'll be earning XP
00:57leveling up
00:58and tuning your cars
00:59into each of five unique specs
01:02all fully customizable
01:09Finally, an open world game that lets you drive anywhere in the USA
01:14whether it's on asphalt roads
01:17dirt tracks
01:19or wide open terrain
01:21without a loading screen in sight
01:27As you can see
01:28we've divided the country into five regions
01:31each with their unique environments
01:33moods
01:34and driving experiences
01:36Now in this closed beta
01:37you'll have access to all of the activities in the Midwest
01:40and key locations on the East Coast
01:43however
01:44the entire country is also available for you to explore
01:47have fun
01:49Your adventure will begin in the Midwest
01:51Detroit to be exact
01:53in the heart of Motor City
01:54After a short prologue
01:56you'll have access to a wide range of activities
02:01Missions are the narrative glue of the game
02:03taking you across a wide range of locations
02:06and introducing you to a range of characters and gameplay elements
02:09All of them can be played solo or in co-op

02:39through our online leaderboards
02:43PVP missions are where you can compete with up to seven other players
02:47You'll be taking part in specific races all across the country
02:51duking it out to find out who truly is the best driver
02:57Landmarks are located all across the country
02:59and allow you to take a time out

03:03and who knows
03:04maybe you'll even learn a thing or two about the United States
03:08Now as in any RPG
03:10all of these activities will reward you
03:12with XP, cash and car parts for participating
03:17Now in addition to the activities on offer
03:19there are several key locations you'll want to visit
03:22every once in a while
03:26Car dealers are where you'll be able to buy new vehicles
03:28You'll find a different one in each region
03:31with its own unique offering of cars
03:32Now buying a car is one thing
03:35but tuning that car will improve your chances of victory
03:39Car tuners are where you turn your factory spec ride into a custom tuned monster
03:45You'll find a different one in each region
03:47each specializing in one of the five car specs in the game
03:50Now in the closed beta you'll have access to two locations
03:53One in Detroit, the other in New York
03:56Allowing you to tune your own street and dirt spec cars
04:02Finally you'll want to visit your HQ
04:04This is the place where you'll be able to install the car parts you've earned
04:08and dive into the deep customization of your vehicles
04:11Now where a classic RPG would reward you with a new sword or new braces
04:16In the crew you'll be rewarded with a new engine, tires or suspension system to equip on your car
04:21Each of these will affect your car's performance or look
04:25and each vehicle can be customized in up to 20 different areas
04:2911 of which affect performance
04:31while the remaining 9 are purely cosmetic
04:33This allows you to truly make each car your very own
04:43It's not just cars that you can customize
04:45As you level up you'll earn perk points
04:47which you can use to unlock and upgrade a variety of perks
04:51Perks have effects ranging from enhancing your car's performance
04:54to boosting the amount of cash and XP you earn
04:57or granting brand new abilities
04:59that make your game experience more convenient and more comfortable
05:04Actually let's head to your car collection now
05:06Each car can be tuned in a number of different ways
05:09These are called specs, one of the unique elements of the crew
05:13In the closed beta you'll have access to two specs
05:15Street and dirt
05:18The street spec will be introduced to you in the Midwest
05:21It's the closest type of vehicle to your everyday car
05:24and it's at its best when you're driving in cities
05:26dodging traffic and competing in illegal street races
05:30The dirt spec is your first off-road spec
05:33Unlocked on the east coast once you've reached the car tuner in New York
05:37You'll also get a glimpse of other specs
05:39and some of the missions you'll be able to play
05:42Once you leave your HQ
05:44You're free to drive wherever you want
05:46You can drive to the next mission or the closest challenge
05:49And of course you can free roam or use a fast travel function
05:52to visit any place that you've already been to in the blink of an eye
06:01The last key component of the crew are its online features
06:05As we've said earlier we've made the game entirely online
06:08So players can enjoy all the adventures of driving with whoever they want at any time
06:15Before you join your friends and other players online
06:18We ask that you complete our short prologue
06:21The goal of this prelude is to introduce you to the crew
06:24While the game completes its installation
06:27Once it's done the crew's world is yours
06:31You'll also be able to see your friends on the world map at any time
06:35If they're part of your YouPlay friend list
06:36This way you can truly enjoy the experience of an MMO
06:40With new encounters and all the surprises to expect from it
06:43Your friends always accessible to play
06:46Now this wraps up the presentation of our closed beta for the crew
