00:02Welcome to our video feature for 5 reasons to love the new Nintendo 3DS.
00:09With Nintendo's new handheld revision launching in Europe on the 13th of February 2015,
00:14we thought we'd take a look at the enhancements and additions that really make this new version shine.
00:20First up, the improved 3D.
00:24With advanced head tracking technology in place, the quality of the 3D imagery is higher
00:29and is now far more comfortable to view.
00:32Boasting a far wider sweet spot threshold, you can now play games in 3D from wider angles.
00:38It's worth going back and replaying classics such as Luigi's Mansion 2, Mario Kart 7
00:43and a whole host of others which sing their little hearts out with the advanced 3D.
00:49Next up on our list is faster processing power.
00:53The extra power under the hood lays down a path for numerous feature enhancements.
00:57For example, loading times are now significantly improved, as you can see here in this side-by-side comparison.
01:05You'll also enjoy faster web surfing and faster eShop downloads.
01:10Couple these improvements with the advanced 3D and older games really do enjoy a new lease of life.
01:18Number three on our list of five reasons is more buttons.
01:22In response to popular demand, the new Nintendo 3DS now features an all-new C-Stick.
01:29In Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D,
01:33this C-Stick allows you to control the camera.
01:37In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, you can assign special moves to it.
01:41The C-Stick isn't the only new button, though.
01:44The new Nintendo 3DS also features two extra shoulder buttons in the form of ZL and ZR.
01:50Perfectly placed for locking onto enemies and using items.
01:56We're more than halfway through our five reasons feature,
01:59and without further ado, here's number four.
02:02Customization.
02:03An exclusive feature to the new Nintendo 3DS is cover plate customization.
02:0912 different designs are available at launch,
02:12with more desirable designs coming over time.
02:15With these classy cover plates adorning your handheld,
02:18you'll be using any old excuse to whip out your hip handheld on public transport.
02:23We should also mention that the new Nintendo 3DS has another exclusive feature,
02:28Super Nintendo-style buttons, for all those 90s gaming aficionados.
02:32Cover plates and Super Nintendo buttons are only available on the new Nintendo 3DS model.
02:39Last, but by no means least in our flurry of features, is Amiibo support.
02:45Since the November 2014 launch, you've been buying Amiibo figurines in your droves,
02:49and the great news is, you can now use them on the new Nintendo 3DS,
02:53thanks to the built-in NFC technology.
02:56The first game to support Amiibo will be Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
03:02Announcements about other games and uses for Amiibo will be made in the near future.
03:07So that's it.
03:09Hopefully you've learned something new about Nintendo's brand new handheld,
03:12and hey, perhaps we've even tempted you to join our new family.
