00:05Hey everyone, welcome to the TGS demo of Resident Evil Revelations 2
00:11Some of you might have been lucky enough to play this at TGS or New York Comic Con
00:17but as the game gets closer chances are this demo is going to be retired
00:21but that doesn't mean we can't learn a few things from it
00:24so I thought I'd give it a little shot
00:26I had to demo this on stage and I've done it in casual so now I'm going to make amends
00:30by doing it on normal
00:33So here we are, here are Claire and Moira
00:37Here is Claire and she will be joined in this adventure by Moira
00:41Now the game itself doesn't quite play out this way, it is a demo level
00:46so some of the things you see might not be in sequence or appear at all
00:50but you'll get the gist
00:53So already the girls find themselves on this rather nasty island with a lot of bad stuff going on
00:59First part of teamwork, you can see here this sort of CCTV image
01:03and that's all to go with the theme of evil is watching
01:08Oh well, he was dead anyway

01:11But yeah, there's a lot of that like you can see like the video camera up here
01:16you're always being watched
01:18by some nefarious person for some nefarious reasons
01:25And yeah, this is not a cool place to find yourself in
01:30Moira there on flashlight patrol
01:33She does her best not to shine it in Claire's face
01:38Because she needs Claire to be able to see, to defend her
01:49So I've not seen much of their interaction yet
01:51But I'm kind of enjoying the whole Claire and Moira dynamic
01:55Okay, that's locked
02:00From one creepy place to another
02:03So Moira's the same age as when we last saw Claire
02:06So it's quite interesting to have a grown up Claire
02:11Backing up someone who would have been the age where we last saw her
02:18Okay, we've got to get after that key now

02:22There's no other way for it

02:30This place doesn't deep leak Moira
02:34I don't know what's been going on here but it's pretty nasty
02:38Alright, here's the guard

02:54So in the space of the guard falling down, the key's gone
02:57But he did leave his gun behind
02:59Are you going to use that?

03:12We've just come from all the way up there

03:16So we've got to find this key
03:18Let's switch over to Moira
03:20At the moment all Moira's got is her flashlight
03:36You think it might have snagged on something on the way down?
03:39Claire really doesn't like having it shone on her
03:47Okay, and there's our key snagged on there
03:51It's out of reach
03:52So
03:53We don't need to be using Moira anymore
03:55So let's switch back to Claire
04:00And we can grab the key for us
04:07Now that door's automatically unlocked
04:10Because someone's watching

04:16Here's the afflicted
04:17New enemy type
04:24Not quite zombies, just some poor assaults

04:38So these guys can jump and grab you

04:51No more Mr. Knight up there
04:53There's no shots all the way

05:02So the afflicted
05:03Yeah, just not quite zombies
05:06Although you can see they've had some pretty gruesome medical experiments done on them
05:10Uh just to the point of madness now
05:13And they're going to be the first sort of enemies you encounter on the island
05:21So not as mindless, but certainly just as dangerous as the old zombie foe
05:26And as you can see the leap and attack there almost took clear out
05:31Let's double back and try the key
05:32Uh oh
05:38Uh oh
05:40So you can slow them down
05:43By shooting them in the limbs
05:45Uh oh
05:48And you can go for the headshot
05:50If you've got a steady enough aim
05:55Prompts there to evade
05:56Which would have come in handy earlier
05:58So there's some ammo
06:01Oh
06:02Moira spotted another guy heading our way
06:05We have time to reload before he comes in
06:07Get away body bags
06:08There he is

06:13Jump to avoid
06:22Don't have to waste the bullet but
06:25Yep, there we go
06:30One of the questions I got asked when demoing this is
06:33Will the ammunition be like as readily available?
06:38Just bear in mind that this is a demo level
06:40So ammo will be a bit more scarce
06:45You can't be quite as trigger-happy as I am here
06:47I have no idea what's in this gross bathtub thing, but
06:52Given you've got those bodies hanging up
06:54It's probably not good

07:27So at the moment it looks like
07:29Claire's doing all the work

07:52I should be able to hear them growling
07:53But for the sake of capturing
07:55I'm doing this with the sound off
07:56So you guys probably heard them coming before I did

08:08And I saw I grabbed some herbs earlier

08:26This is back to pretty much where we started

08:51Should even up the odds a bit

09:05Okay, so here we've got a little bit of story
09:08For some reason Moira
09:10Does not like handling firearms
09:13Actually something bad that happens
09:15Now I don't know what that is
09:16I'm kinda looking forward to finding out
09:18During the course of the game
09:20But she's having nothing to do with firearms just now
09:23It's fine
09:24But she is a dab hand with that flashlight
09:28And what she can do
09:31Is

09:33I think there's something shiny there
09:34But I can't make it out
09:35Let me hit it with the flashlight
09:39So
09:41Plenty of ammo stashed around here
09:43And a crowbar
09:45So she has no problem with the
09:48Blunt weapons
09:55Can we use your crowbar here?
09:57Yeah, she's gonna put a swing on it

10:06In theory
10:06Sneak up behind someone
10:08And give them a good bash with the crowbar
10:10I wonder if we get a chance to try that out

10:49And there's Moira finishing off that guy with the crowbar
10:52To be fair he did take a shotgun blast to the chest
10:59So yeah Moira has a dab hand with that crowbar

11:05More handgun ammo
11:06I'm pretty sure that's gonna come in handy
11:13Again, I don't know for certain how readily available ammo is gonna be in the main game
11:22But you've all seen how bad my aim is so they put plenty of it in the demo
11:28Alright team, here we go through the door
