00:30E.B.: How do you plan to come back?
00:31E.B.: Yeah, I try not to sweat the details.
00:33E.B.: It's my birthday.
00:34E.B.: Fine.
00:35E.B.: People who play an instrument, you know, are able to create different sounds and different
00:45melodies from that instrument.
00:47For those people who can use their voices in such a way to create characters, different
00:50animals, it's a pretty unique skill.
00:53E.B.: Um, and we have like this kind of like in the beginning of Sleeping Beauty where there's
00:55like this storybook and it opens up and it's illuminated text and storybook pages.
00:58E.B.: And you're seeing the material for the first time, they can't let this stuff out
01:01of the room because it is top secret.
01:04E.B.: They'll tell you a little bit about the game, they'll show you some things to inspire
01:07you, and then the inspiration is kind of improvisational.
01:11E.B.: So besides this one, what are the other two now?
01:12E.B.: The other two, two of them are basically the same, they're kind of like demon gladiators,
01:17you know, shirtless armor, kind of tough, brutish guys.
01:19E.B.: Like this.
01:20E.B.: Yeah, like this.
01:21E.B.: I've got you.
01:22E.B.: I fight you.
01:23E.B.: There's different ways to make a low sound.
01:25E.B.: You can make it with your throat, down there, which doesn't use my voice really,
01:32it just uses the flesh that flaps around my throat, and you can also modify it with pinching
01:37off the nose.
01:38E.B.: From the shadows we advance, surround him with darkness, attack from all sides.
01:47E.B.: I can kind of affect it like that.
01:49E.B.: Holy fuck, I have never seen anything like that in my life.
01:52E.B.: Fuck me running dude, it's amazing.
01:59E.B.: I'm not a badass, but I play one in games and in cartoons sometimes.
02:04E.B.: Exertions, pain sounds, combat sounds in most games, it's very cathartic, I enjoy
02:10it, but it's a very interesting method to learn.
02:14E.B.: You have to get your body into it, because you can hear all that.
02:18E.B.: Oh crap, I have fire screams.
02:21E.B.: Those are the best.
02:22E.B.: They're so much fun.
02:25E.B.: Blackbeard fire scream.
02:28E.B.: For the love of God.
02:34E.B.: It's a good abdominal workout at the end of it.
02:36E.B.: It's the new P90X routine.
02:38E.B.: Yeah!
02:39E.B.: Yeah!
02:39E.B.: It's gonna be good.
02:40E.B.: Awesome!
02:41E.B.: What's fun about playing multiple characters is, for one thing as an actor you get to stretch
02:45your range.
02:46E.B.: You really get to inhabit this world.
02:48E.B.: It sometimes happens that the multiple characters that you're playing end up in the
02:51same scene together.
02:53E.B.: But what's also an interesting challenge is trying to make it so the characters are distinct
02:57and sound different enough where the player can't tell.
03:00E.B.: They think the time might come to play old Cupid for Dane and Kiki.
03:06E.B.: Fall in line!
03:07E.B.: We will take them now!
03:09E.B.: Some bits or you can burn for eternity!
03:12E.B.: Like, you just never know what's gonna be handed to you.
03:15E.B.: You don't really think about when you're playing a video game, but as you get a chance
03:20to watch these performers work, you can't help but admire what they're able to do.
03:24E.B.: You know, they keep pumping out Saints Row, and as long as they do, I want to be
03:29a
03:29part of it.
