00:19This is a good hit.
00:21Yeah, it's a good hit.
00:21Take a look at everything now.
00:23We are investigating a weapon parts shipment
00:26that CBP ended up encountering at a local shipping service.
00:30These items were found concealed in electronics
00:32and other commodities that were being exported to South America.
00:36You've got complete bulk carrier groups here.
00:39You've got charging handles here.
00:41You've got this bag here that's loaded
00:43with a bunch of the rifle uppers.
00:46So you have, in essence, parts for multiple rifles
00:50of different calibers.
00:54That is the complete top half of the rifle.
00:56We'll put it together with this here,
00:58which is the lower half of the rifle
00:59that has the trigger assembly.
01:01Just take it.
01:04Put it in place like this.
01:08And now this thing is fully capable of firing.
01:21Point and shoot, and you're good to go.
01:23These rifles are really good for long range,
01:26which makes it advantageous for the bad guy to have these.
01:31And not only does it inflict a lot of damage,
01:33but also from long range.
01:35Yeah, absolutely.
01:35This is the kind of rifle that's used
01:37in law enforcement operations
01:38and military operations throughout the world.
01:40So it can be a very dangerous platform
01:43in the wrong hands.
01:45This is a really good hit.
01:46This is a solid hit, without question.
01:57This is the kind of stuff
01:58that can harm a criminal organization very well.
02:00These are the kind of seizures
02:01that we need to be investigating
02:03and we need to be pursuing
02:04to prevent this stuff from leaving the country.
02:07We've been able to identify a suspect
02:09that we believe is involved
02:10in the shipping or smuggling of the weapon sparts.
02:13We even have additional information
02:15that that individual could possibly be sending
02:17another shipment today
02:18that we intend to interdict and inspect
02:21to determine if their additional weapon parts send it.
02:26Ready? That's everything?
02:27All right, let's get going now.
02:30We have a surveillance team out right now
02:33that's watching our shipping suspect.
02:35And they believe that they may be even heading
02:38to the shipping service to deliver another shipment.
02:40So our intent is to see if that takes place.
02:43If it does, we can go ahead and charge them
02:45and arrest them.
02:47We got eyes on the target right now.
02:49Where's the car?
02:50Just left the complex.
02:52Subject is used now.
02:54All right, copy that.
02:55I'm going to go ahead and relocate
02:56to get a little bit closer to you guys.
03:00There's the obvious national security implications
03:02that go with weapons
03:03possibly falling into the wrong hands,
03:06whether it's transnational criminal organizations
03:09that focus on drug trafficking
03:10or human smuggling, human trafficking.
03:16The worst case scenario,
03:17you know, terrorist organizations
03:18that are trying to get a hold
03:19of our weapons, our technology
03:21to be able to use against us.
03:23You get a fast one,
03:25get those things,
03:26and then do the turning thing.
03:27All right, I mean, just turn left.
03:32This is where the shipping company is.
03:37I am set up just immediately north
03:40of where our subject of interest is.
03:43Head for.
03:44Coming around.
03:46Can you give me a description on the vehicle?
03:49It'll be a great Jeep Cherokee.
03:51I'll be ready to go.
03:54Vehicle pulling in.
03:56Vehicle pulling.
03:59That's our vehicle of interest right there.
04:03I'm good.
04:03I got him.
04:10I'm waiting with the delivery.
04:11He's got a green shirt on.
04:13I'll let you know in the field up.
04:15Looks like he could be delivering a shipment.
04:18We don't know what's going to happen.
04:20The dynamics can change like that.
04:25They're in the area now.
04:50At the far Texas Port of Entry, we are across the Rio Grande River from
04:55Reynosa, Tamaulipas, one of the biggest cities along the border.
05:00We are in the cargo bridge.
05:02Hello, sir.
05:03What else?
05:03We do not process any personal vehicles.
05:06We do not process any pedestrians.
05:08We process commercial goods.
05:11All righty, sir.
05:12Here you go.
05:21We process about 2,700 shipments a day.
05:25Open up one of these boxes, make sure those products look good.
05:29We are the number one processor of fruits, vegetables, fresh produce in the United States.
05:37I'm looking to see if there's any pests that fall out of the cilantro, make sure there's
05:41no drugs.
05:42Our challenge is to try to locate those trucks that we believe may be bringing in something
05:47that is going to harm the public.
05:57These look pretty good.
05:58They look pretty clean.
05:59I'm a CVP agriculture specialist here in Farr.
06:04This is the dock area.
06:05We have 72 docks where we inspect produce.
06:10We're trying to protect America's agriculture.
06:14We don't want to introduce any pests that cause destruction to our crops.
06:17We do try our best to inspect everything and hopefully catch it all.
06:23So what you got?
06:25Celery stocked eight pallets.
06:28All right.
06:29We'll see.
06:34Certain pests cause destruction to the produce.
06:38So we bang the stock like this.
06:41Make sure there's no pests coming out.
06:43And then we can inspect the inside of the stock.
06:47Also, make sure there's no drugs.
06:51Sometimes they can smuggle them within the crates.
07:02What is that?
07:04They found a pest on this produce.
07:07There's something wrong with the shipment.
07:24At Atlanta International Airport, we have the reputation for being the busiest airport in the world.
07:29And it's truly earned.
07:30Good afternoon, ma'am.
07:31Where are you coming from today?
07:33Paris.
07:34How was your trip?
07:35We see in the ballpark of a few hundred international flights every day.
07:40And somewhere in the nature of 25,000, 35,000 passengers come through.
07:43Did you visit any other countries?
07:45Well, I came from Finland because I live in Finland.
07:48Awesome.
07:48Finland, parents, I live in Mexico.
07:51If I want you to have a safe trip, I'd tell you and finish, but I don't know it.
08:00Good boy.
08:01Customs and Border Protection, we inspect hundreds, if not thousands, of people every day.
08:06It's a hot day in Dodge City.
08:09Immigration, primary, secondary officers, along with canine.
08:13Everybody brings their own unique set of skills.
08:20We go out each and every day looking for things coming into the country that we might not particularly want
08:25here.
08:26Come on here, sir.
08:26This man said you're carrying two keys to China White and a 38 Special.
08:30Can you explain that?
08:31Here we go.
08:32It's a dark day.
08:33You swallowed them, did you?
08:35Perfect.
08:35Have a great day.
08:38So for those that choose to attempt to smuggle things into the United States, they should know that there's also
08:45hunters in them woods.
08:46And every day we're out there looking.
08:48Good boy.
08:49Right here.
08:50Ladies.
08:52Welcome back home.
09:00Zoldos is a new dog here at the port, along with a new handler.
09:03Good boy.
09:04Good boy.
09:05What you got?
09:06What you got?
09:06What you got?
09:06It's a force multiplier.
09:08With that canine out there, he can look for certain things, certain scents, and he can really help eliminate a
09:13lot of the other clutter.
09:16Zoldos, please.
09:17Yeah.
09:18Please.
09:20Zoldos and I came from the busiest land border in the world, down in San Ysidro.
09:25It was a target-rich environment.
09:28You literally had people with tons of bags, vehicles coming at you at all times.
09:33And I've noticed that here in Atlanta, you have to work kind of harder to target someone.
09:40And there's a lot of downtime for the dog.
09:42And the dogs get a little bit frustrated at times.
09:48I don't know what.
09:51He looks nervous.
09:53Go get him.
09:54Come on.
09:54Keep.
09:56Hold on.
09:57Hold on.
09:57Hold on.
09:57Hold on.
09:58Hold on.
09:58Hold on.
09:58Hold on.
09:59Wait.
10:00Wait.
10:00Wait.
10:03He is alerting to the bag.
10:05Hi.
10:06Do you speak English?
10:07No.
10:08¿De dónde viene?
10:09De Colombia.
10:10Colombia?
10:10OK.
10:11Checking good.
10:12Senor, right this way.
10:21All right, senor.
10:24Just go ahead and throw them muletas right up here for me.
10:26All right.
10:27Everything in your pockets, out here for me.
10:35OK.
10:36You got anything in this bag?
10:37Fruitas, plantas, comida?
10:39Chocolate.
10:40Chocolate.
10:40Chocolate está bien.
10:42Druggas.
10:43No.
10:43I'll pat you down.
10:45I'm going to find anything.
10:47Anything else on you?
10:48No.
10:49Awesome.
10:51¿De dónde va?
10:52A la Vega.
10:53Las Vegas?
10:54Oh, man.
10:55Everybody loves Vegas.
10:56You've been to Las Vegas before.
11:00No.
11:00No te entiendes.
11:01That's all right.
11:02I don't Nintendo very often either.
11:11What you got here?
11:13It's your makeup.
11:14You use makeup?
11:15Oh, no.
11:16Prodictor solar.
11:17Yeah.
11:17Sunscreen.
11:18Hmm.
11:26This is all you did.
11:27Check everything.
11:29I don't know nothing there.
11:30You want to call a suit and do a pat down?
11:32I don't think you really need to.
11:33All right, buddy.
11:34Awesome.
11:35Gracias for your time, senor.
11:37I'll give you a hand if you want.
11:38We'll get it all packed up.
11:39We'll get you on your way to Las Vegas.
11:40That's it.
11:41That was a goose egg.
11:43There was no need to slow him down.
11:45Might as well let him get onto that vacation.
11:49Senor, salida aquí.
11:51Gracias.
11:52The day's still early, though.
11:54Like every good fisherman, you don't give up
11:57and get skunked too easy.
12:12There you go.
12:14This one's alive.
12:15What is it?
12:20Now the celery needs to be put on hold and we're going to head to the lab.
12:24We're going to have to submit this pest for further identification to our entomologist
12:28and we'll see what happens with the shipment after that.
12:39If we find a pest that's dead, it doesn't have any significant threat.
12:44But when I found this one outside, it was alive.
12:47It was moving around.
12:48So I immediately put it in alcohol to kill it and now we're going to send digitals to our identifier.
13:03As agriculture specialists, we don't have the authority to say that this is an actionable or non-actionable pest.
13:12So that's why we have to submit it further to our identifier, which he's an entomologist, and they will confirm
13:17it.
13:27Supervisor Cantu, it looks like our entomologist just responded.
13:30It seems to be actionable.
13:32What do we got?
13:32What kind of actionable?
13:34Diabrodica species.
13:35Okay.
13:36We'll inform the broker.
13:37Good job.
13:38Ultimately, the celery is going to have to be returned to Mexico because we don't want to introduce it into
13:44the United States.
13:45We don't want to cause any destruction to our produce, crops.
13:48So we're going to go ahead and refuse the shipment.
14:04The driver's still inside.
14:06We may be sitting here several, several hours.
14:12It's the same old thing, sit and wait.
14:14For right now, we're kind of at a standstill.
14:17We have to kind of decide, you know, real time.
14:20Do we believe we're going to see more pertinent activity?
14:23And if so, how long do we stay on?
14:25I think the unloading is done, and I figured the guy was going to be leaving.
14:30But the guy's standing there forever with papers in his hand.
14:3410-4.
14:35Surveillance can last a couple hours.
14:38Surveillance can last all day.
14:40Sometimes surveillance can go on for weeks.
14:42Sometimes our cars, they're our office space.
14:44They're our home.
14:45They're everything.
14:46They're everything because the operational activity dictates that.
14:57Looks like he's coming out.
14:59All right.
14:59Entry team's good to go.
15:02All right.
15:02The vehicle's just left.
15:04The vehicle's just left.
15:05Go, go, go.
15:06Get in front of me.
15:07You're behind me.
15:08Do you want us to jump in on surveillance?
15:10Negative.
15:12Respect the cargo.
15:15We're going to go ahead and focus our effort now on having the shipment that he dropped off at the
15:19freight forwarder expected to see if there is, in fact, weapons, parts, weaponry, munitions, or contraband that shouldn't be there.
15:34What's going on?
15:35This is the cargo here that we're going to take a look at.
15:38We'll inspect the cargo, and we'll see if we find anything.
15:40Good enough.
15:41They're disguised as commercial packages.
15:44It could be clothing items.
15:45It could be food items.
15:46But we're going to conduct some x-rays.
15:48And concealed within, you'll oftentimes find munition items and weapons that are hidden inside.
15:53Hello.
15:55How are you doing, man?
15:56Good, good, good.
15:59So, don't you lock a little bit?
16:01I'm in that bag.
16:02Okay.
16:03All right.
16:03Let's see what we can do.
16:08Get out.
16:09What is this?
16:11Nothing.
16:13Next one.
16:16All right.
16:17We'll see.
16:20They're using a portable x-ray machine to scan the packages first.
16:25If they see imagery that makes them think that it could be something concealed inside, they'll
16:29go ahead and open up the packages and do a thorough inspection.
16:33So, what you got?
16:34Yeah, there's nothing there.
16:38There's nothing in here.
16:40Get the other one.
16:42They're encountering things like air fryers, mechanical components, electrical components.
16:48And that's of interest to us because sometimes you'll find the weapon broken down in the parts,
16:53concealed in metallic items.
16:54So, that way, if it's run through an x-ray, it may not necessarily be readily identifiable
16:59at first glance.
17:02What is it?
17:03What do you got?
17:04What's a little...
17:05I don't know what it is.
17:08We'll open it to see what it is.
17:10Okay.
17:26What is that?
17:28It's metal components that can easily conceal ammunition or gun parts.
17:37Doesn't look right.
17:46Negative.
17:48There's nothing there.
17:49That should be everything.
17:52That's okay.
17:53Negative today, positive tomorrow.
17:55I anticipate that the person of interest will probably be more cargo, so we'll give it
18:00a go next time.
18:01No problem, bro.
18:02It's all good, man.
18:03Unfortunately, we didn't find any contraband or munition items, but that doesn't mean the
18:07investigation ends because we have a person of interest that they're going to continue
18:11to monitor, and our job is to try to put together the pieces as much as possible to try to
18:17get
18:17a whole picture of the entire criminal event that's taken place.
18:22So at this point, the investigation is going to remain ongoing, and we'll continue to dig.
18:37Welcome to Atlanta.
18:38Enjoy your stay.
18:44Afternoon.
18:45How are you doing?
18:46Never better a day in my life.
18:48You?
18:48Hanging in there.
18:49Where are y'all coming from?
18:50Milano.
18:51How was it?
18:52Oh, beautiful.
18:53Almost every flight is going to have something unexpected, something new, something unusual.
18:59Sir, that's an awful important question.
19:01Who's got better Italian food, us or them?
19:04Okay, don't lie.
19:05I have a wife that's Italian.
19:07Oh.
19:08So I got to say hers is better.
19:10I respect your answer.
19:12Currency or other things may come from overseas in Europe or the Middle East, whereas South
19:17Central American flights, we look at for narcotics.
19:20Well, we're certainly glad to have y'all back home, or as we say here in Atlanta, arrivederci.
19:27Have a great day, y'all.
19:28You too.
19:29You can't look for the same thing in every flight, otherwise you may overlook something
19:34that's in plain sight.
19:38Hey, if nobody told you, you're incredible.
19:40Keep up the good work.
19:46One of my favorite things is to look for and to talk to people that look like they don't
19:50want to talk to me.
19:51Afternoon, sir.
19:52Where are you coming from today?
19:53Mexico.
19:54How was it?
19:55Good.
19:56Awesome.
19:57Well, come on in here.
19:58I want to hear all about your trip.
19:59I find if you're genuine with people and you ask them about themselves, no matter who
20:03they are, it'll help them relax a little bit, and a lot of times you can glean the information
20:07that you want without being invasive.
20:11Sir, could you tell me, are these your bags?
20:12Yeah.
20:13You packed them yourself?
20:15Yeah, thank you.
20:15Did anybody give you anything to bring for them?
20:18Anybody say, here, take this to America.
20:24Perfect.
20:25Any food items, alcohol, tobacco?
20:31Perfect thing to take the edge off a long trip.
20:34Anything else to declare?
20:36Oh, perfect.
20:39Anytime you have an individual by himself and they're carrying a lot of luggage, usually
20:45they're bringing things for other people, and sometimes those people will slip things in
20:50there.
20:51So we've had people completely unaware that have brought narcotics and delivered it, and
20:55they're unintentionally being a mule for someone.
21:07Now, what in the world is this?
21:19Good?
21:25Good morning.
21:26Good morning.
21:47The entry, sending in a vehicle for inspection and keep an eye out for it.
21:59I just referred in the load of jalapenos for inspection.
22:03It seemed like the driver was a little nervous.
22:06It's going to get x-rayed to look for any anomalies.
22:20Cab looks normal.
22:23Mm-hmm.
22:25All right, we've got something here.
22:27It could be anything.
22:28We don't know.
22:30But it's not supposed to look like that.
22:33You know, from pattern to color to density.
22:37So we have to take it to secondary.
22:50Right now we have a shipment of jalapeno peppers and serrano peppers, different peppers, that
22:56was targeted for inspection.
23:02Some of this product is already spoiled.
23:07So that's sometimes an indicator that there's something wrong with the shipment.
23:16The canine will run it.
23:18Hopefully he gets an alert and we'll see what's in there.
23:21Oh boy.
23:27There you go.
23:29This is a positive alert.
23:33The canine did alert to the Palateer.
23:39So we're going to have to go through every single crate.
23:56There we go.
23:58We just found a bundle right now.
24:07There you go.
24:08It's right there.
24:09Oh, wow.
24:11Well, this is the payoff right here.
24:17You got one right here.
24:19Found the first bundle.
24:20It's great.
24:23They wrap it in the same color as a commodity.
24:26It's going to blend in with a commodity you may not spot it.
24:29You got to get it by us.
24:31This is what we call deep concealment.
24:33It's going to be a lot.
24:35The produce is dense.
24:38Narcotics are dense also.
24:40Very difficult to spot on our x-ray system.
24:43But good operator, he had a good eye for it.
24:45And he spotted the anomaly.
25:00We have to extract the bundles from the commodity,
25:04so we have to go through each crate
25:05and make sure there's nothing in there.
25:09There's 24 pallets in the truck,
25:11so it will be a lengthy process.
25:14One, two, three.
25:23I'm not sure how many pallets are loaded,
25:25but it should be a very big, very big load.
25:41We might have something to look at right here.
25:51You know what that is?
25:54Oregano.
25:55Oregano.
25:56Oregano and some onion buffs.
25:58After going through thousands and thousands of bags,
26:00you kind of get a gauge on what's normal.
26:02And plants and dirt and whatnot is not too normal.
26:05They're going to have to take a look at this.
26:07Some things you can bring in, some you can't.
26:10I'm coming over to grab one of our agricultural specialists.
26:13They're all real smart.
26:14They've been to college and whatnot.
26:15They know all the agricultural products that can come in.
26:18I found you some stuff over here.
26:20You want to come take a look at it?
26:22Looks like onion bulbs and stuff, but it's still in the dirt.
26:25Here?
26:26Mm-hmm.
26:26Okay, okay.
26:34Oh, my goodness.
26:35Where are they coming from?
26:36Mexico?
26:37No.
26:38No.
26:38Look at that soil.
26:39It's prohibited.
26:40They need a specific pumice.
26:42And also, that's mite for planting.
26:44Oh, I think so.
26:46It's a yeast?
26:47Mm-hmm.
27:00You're not going to believe it, but I could tell it's fruit just by looking at the container.
27:09You're welcome to take a look.
27:11Get out of here.
27:13Oh.
27:13I like that.
27:14Yeah.
27:15It's so very important to stop these things here because certain things that exist in ecological
27:22systems around the world might hurt other ones.
27:25Yeah.
27:25So, even though it's good in Mexico, you bring it here, all of a sudden the whole onion crop
27:30fails.
27:31Next thing you know, I'm trying to have a cheeseburger, no onion.
27:33Yeah, yeah.
27:34Nobody wants that.
27:35Yeah, yeah.
27:35Okay.
27:36This bag is okay.
27:37Oh, perfect.
27:38Perfect.
27:39I appreciate you, ma'am, as always.
27:42All right.
27:43You can go ahead and close this one up.
27:46Today, this gentleman wasn't given an agricultural penalty, but for people who bring things they
27:52shouldn't, a lot of times they can be assessed a penalty.
27:56So, it can cost you money, as well as a lot of time and a lot of headache.
28:01Senor, welcome back home.
28:03It was a pleasure meeting you.
28:05When you're all set, salida ayah.
28:07Okay, thank you.
28:08Have a great day.
28:20This morning we'll be conducting a troll delivery of approximately four kilos of ketamine to
28:25an address here on Miami Beach.
28:30My investigative group right now, they're working on a weapons part seizure that's kind
28:33of ongoing.
28:34But in the meantime, I'm going to be helping out another group that's investigating a ketamine
28:38seizure that originated from Europe.
28:40Our undercover is going to deliver the package.
28:43Once the package is accepted, we're going to sit until the subject opens the package or goes on foot or
28:51in a vehicle with the package.
28:52You guys are going to be on the breaching team, so our tactical element can go in there, recover the
28:57package, and arrest all the subjects on scene.
29:01Stay safe, monitor the radio, and let's go.
29:14What we are going to do is we are going to attempt a delivery of those narcotics to its intended
29:19destination to see who possibly shows up to pick it up.
29:24The shipment is in powder form, around five kilograms.
29:30Miami Beach in particular is a known location for narcotics to transit through because of the obvious tourist, nightlife that's
29:39here.
29:39And we frequently have issues with overdoses and stuff like that.
29:44Ketamine is a Schedule 3.
29:46It's a hallucinogenics, so it has disassociative effects.
29:50It's very common to be mixed with things like ecstasy and so forth.
29:54So combined with other drugs especially, it could be a very potent mix and very dangerous.
30:05That's our location right there.
30:12I'm set up.
30:13If you decide you want a more optimal place for me, just let me know.
30:16All right.
30:1710-4, Chris.
30:20Hey, once everyone's set, just advise when the UC is going to be able to go.
30:26If everybody's set up, I'm going to go ahead and start with the delivery.
30:2910-4.
30:32Okay, we're coming out.
30:36UC is out.
30:3810-4.
30:39Now is when everything kind of gets a little more serious.
30:43We have no idea who's there, what's there.
30:46Yeah, bye.
30:51All right, we got visual alert.
30:56Is he is backing?
31:05UC is on site.
31:06Okay.
31:07All right.
31:07We got visual at UC.
31:08No trying to make contact.
31:11Yeah, bye.
31:18Right now, we're monitoring the delivery of a shipment of ketamine that was intercepted,
31:23destined for a residential complex here in Miami Beach.
31:33Okay.
31:49We have no information about who or when, you know, it's going to be picked up.
31:58So now it'll be our job to monitor.
32:01You know, you're talking about, you know, a residential area that's got multiple units,
32:06where you've got a fair amount of pedestrian traffic.
32:09Anybody and everybody could be walking by it all day.
32:11And that becomes a challenge because when you least expect it, somebody shows up and they
32:16grab that parcel and it's either going into the location or it's going somewhere else.
32:21Okay.
32:22It looks like there's movement at the gate.
32:25All right.
32:26This person's walking out, dude.
32:31Now she's walking back towards the package.
32:34I think this is it.
32:38Looks like she's moving closer to the front door of the target resident.
32:46She's removing some packages from her moped and moving inside her unit.
32:51She's back inside her door.
32:54Do you still see the package?
32:56Yeah, 10-4.
32:58Looks like somebody who maybe resides at the unit next door.
33:02Yeah.
33:04We're not sure what that means.
33:06Is she going to take the parcel or is she just letting her neighbor know that,
33:12hey, you've got a parcel here in front of your location?
33:15We don't know.
33:15That's why we'll continue to monitor and see what happens.
33:17We could be out here all day just doing this.
33:34Oh, my God.
33:36Oh, my God.
33:50We can't be very careful.
33:53You can't be touching your eyes, your mouth, due to irritation.
33:57So we have to be very careful with that.
34:02Six, seven, eight.
34:08We still have about 12 more pilots to go.
34:13Cargo suit.
34:14We need more officers over here to seizure.
34:1510-4.
34:20improve your arms, please.
34:29Go ahead.
34:333,
34:373-4.
34:41Our officers will be conducting a field test with our Gemini unit on the narcotic.
34:49It looks like a crystallized substance.
34:53The Gemini is a machine that identifies the chemical compound of the narcotic.
35:12It was positive for methamphetamine.
35:18We're going to start counting the bundles, put them on the scale, and get a weight on them.
35:38Welcome back home, ladies.
35:49Hey, Lucas.
35:51Hey!
35:52Agriculture just brought this over.
35:54He was coming in from Cameroon by Paris.
35:57They had these tea leaves, dried tea leaves, inside this brown bag, and these baggies were inside.
36:05Man, that is interesting.
36:07If you want to take a look at it, more than anything else in the whole wide world.
36:11Lately, we've been getting a lot of cocaine, so that's why it was very interesting the way he had these
36:17powders hidden.
36:18We're going to ask him some questions now as to why exactly did he have it like that and what
36:23it is.
36:25Hey, good afternoon, sir.
36:27Where are you coming from today?
36:30I'm coming from Cameroon.
36:32Where are you headed to now?
36:35I'm coming here to Atlanta.
36:37Well, we're glad to have you.
36:38Sir, could you tell me and my boss here what exactly you packed here inside your tea leaves?
36:43Pouvez-vous me dire, moi avec mon patron ici, cette poudre là c'est quoi?
36:48Je ne peux pas connaître ce que c'est.
36:50As quand tu dis à l'enfant...
36:52I can't tell you right now what it is because it's my son who pack it.
36:56Je ne peux pas déterminer, je ne peux pas mentir, je ne peux pas déterminer.
37:26Je ne peux pas déterminer, je ne peux pas déterminer.
37:33What do you do?
37:35I'll go get the Gemini.
37:37We ought to test this.
37:51Just a very small, minute amount just to identify it.
38:00If it's something bad, we'll find out here in a minute or two.
38:05They're showing a runtime of like 15 minutes.
38:09If you can't find it within a few minutes, typically it's not in the library.
38:15When the Gemini fails us, we go old school.
38:17We go back to more analog ways of doing things.
38:19We'll try the marquee's test, and depend on what color code it gives you, it'll let you
38:24know whether it's a narcotic, whether it's an analog, whether it's not a narcotic at all.
38:35I want to say about 15 seconds for it to turn.
38:38Give it a couple shakes.
38:41All right, so we're looking for a half blue, half pink.
38:47No two-tone.
38:48No.
38:48We got a negative.
38:49Yeah.
38:52All right.
38:54It's not cocaine.
38:57But if I let this come in the States, what are you planning to do with it?
39:01OK.
39:11So you're going to be cooking with that then?
39:13The big issue is here, when you hide little baggies like this inside dry leaves, what am
39:19I supposed to think?
39:20You have to know what you're bringing into the United States.
39:23If this came back and it was cocaine, you would be going to jail.
39:27OK.
39:27Do you understand that?
39:30All right, let's go back to your stuff.
39:33We'll get you all packed up.
39:34We'll take good care of you.
39:35He didn't exactly know what he had, which admittedly strikes you a little bit off.
39:42Utilizing the interpreter as well as my fellow officers, we were able to determine that it
39:46was nothing of any harm or significance.
39:48Good morning.
39:50Good morning.
39:50I'll walk.
39:50I'll walk.
39:51Ciao.
40:08Back to the door on the front door of target location.
40:21all right copy that it's crossing now all right all right he's got the package walking back out
40:31all right we're clear and seen all right we have the package
40:37right now we are going to discontinue the operation of our persons of interest our
40:46targets did not show up to obtain the parcel as we hoped we have a bunch of other leads that
40:52we're following up on and we're going to be conducting another um enforcement operation
40:57in the near future all right copy that even in an instance like this one we couldn't smoke
41:03anybody out to the shipment this time this investigation will remain ongoing because
41:08we're getting more and more bits and pieces of information with respect to who's involved and
41:13what they may be up to
41:20the the joint interdiction investigative efforts by cbp and hsi allows us to continue forward and
41:27at the very end of the day we got some dangerous weapons some dangerous drugs that are being taken
41:30off the street and that helps to protect the public and the national security and
41:34the safety and no submission accomplished
41:58okay i'll do it two at a time
42:01one two three four five six seven eight nine ten 51 52 53
42:2497 98 99 100 so far we have two bins bin number one we had a total of 349 kilos
42:36bin number two 331 kilos
42:42and we're still counting 96 96 98 99 49 49 we need one more
43:12we need one more ...
43:13everybody did a great job overall
43:18the driver will be interviewed by hsi but try to get more intel more information
43:22now we have to transport it to our evidence vault the commodity of course is going to be destroyed
43:41this is a significant impact on the cartels meth is a destructive drug to families here
43:49we all have children so our main concern is to keeping these narcotics off the streets
43:55we are saving many lives today
