00:28And this is the world premiere exclusive look at Lennox, the new assault character in Evolve.
00:33Yeah Dave, this is the first female assault character to come to Evolve and she is the first hunter to
00:39be revealed in hunting season 2.
00:41And boy does she pack a punch.
00:43Lennox is this badass lady who has created her own mech suit from the wreckage on Sheer and that mech
00:49suit is called the Thunder Child.
00:51The Thunder Child has three unique abilities, the plasma lance, which is a melee whip strike, the autocannon, the anti
00:58-aircraft inspired weapon, and the thunder strike, a jet boosted leap that's basically the equivalent of Goliath's leap smash but
01:07on the other side of the fence, hunters jumping in on the monster.
01:10She's got a lot of cool new abilities but she also is a little bit different from the other characters
01:15in a special way.
01:16She actually takes a big punch and boom, you saw it right there with that rock throw.
01:20She did not tumble back.
01:21So she's the only hunter that is going to stand her ground when she is hit with a large attack
01:25like a big rock throw.
01:26And another one comes at the hunters right there and we've got a good match coming up right here.
01:30Yes, I love seeing her stand her ground and be able to jump right back in the fight there.
01:34Let's talk about that plasma lance.
01:36Each successful strike adds another plus one multiplier or one times multiplier.
01:41So one times, two times, three times, potentially four damage at the cap.
01:45But it is worth noting that getting damaged as Lenny will reset the multiplier.
01:51A miss will reset the multiplier and not hitting again within the time window also resets the multiplier.
01:57Talk about the reticle and the rest of the signals on screen to let you know how you're doing as
02:01Lennox.
02:01Yeah, the reticle will be red when you're in range so you want to make sure that you're close but
02:05not too close where you're going to get hit.
02:07And you want to make sure that you're not letting that countdown timer, the bar underneath, go to zero because
02:12then you'll be reset.
02:12And you'll see that that plasma lance made quick work of Goliath in that first round.
02:17And we're starting up round two again.
02:18And here we're going to take a look at the autocannon.
02:21Now, the autocannon is Lenny's at-range weapon.
02:24It is, as you said before, an anti-aircraft-inspired weapon that stays really accurate at long range and while
02:31you're jetpacking.
02:32So this is a really great assault weapon that is really versatile.
02:34I mean, you know, you want to be using that plasma whip as much as possible but sometimes you're going
02:39to want to be at range.
02:40Sometimes you want to do more consistent DPS over time and that's what you're going to get from the autocannon.
02:46As you mentioned before, you want to stay in range.
02:49It's all about positioning with Lennox.
02:51You notice that red reticle when you are in range of the plasma lance.
02:55Once you're out of range, though, you can pop that Thunderstrike and jump right back into the action.
03:00Yeah, so you said Thunderstrike.
03:01That's what we just saw there.
03:03The Thunderstrike is her leap smash.
03:04So this propels her forward.
03:06It hits with damage when it hits the ground.
03:09And then it also gets you in range to keep using that plasma lance.
03:12So it's a really effective move but you need to time it right.
03:15You know, as most abilities in Evolve, you want to make sure that you're not spending them before you need
03:21to.
03:21So make sure you hold on to that.
03:23Wait for Goliath or any monster to start making moves away from you and then use it to close that
03:28gap.
03:28Close the gap, get in the monster's face, stack that damage with the plasma lance.
03:33And when the monster moves out of range, use that autocannon to finish the monster off.
03:38You see Lenny working her way throughout the battlefield, staying nice and close to the monster with the plasma lance
03:44there.
03:44Using that melee whip to stack four times damage.
03:47And then when that is out or the monster is out of range,
03:51Lenny here switching to the autocannon to do damage from range and then closing the gap with the Thunderstrike.
03:57This new hunter, Lennyx, is going to add a whole new dimension to the game of Evolve.

04:05And look at that, in the arena, a punch to the face, monster goes down.
